  • Patent number: 6574849
Abstract: First and second hollow bodies each having at least one opening are joined by first forming a fracture zone in a joint region of the first body and then juxtaposing the bodies in a closed cavity of an internal high-pressure shaping tool with the second body spaced from and open toward the fracture zone of the first body. The first body is then internally pressurized with a hydraulic medium until a burst pressure at the fracture zone is exceeded and the first body ruptures and is deformed outward at the fracture zone into engagement with the second body. The medium then flows through the ruptured fracture zone into the second body.

  • Patent number: 6570953
Abstract: In a method and x-ray apparatus for making and reproducing a radiological tomogram of a subject, the subject is irradiated with radiation emanating from a focus disposed at a known distance from a focal plane, situated at the subject. The focal plane is disposed at a known distance from a radiation receiver, which is disposed in the image plane, and which contains a number of picture elements. In a digital radiological tomogram, either the slice position with the aforementioned distances is allocated to respective picture elements, or a correction factor, based on the slice position and the aforementioned distances, is allocated to the respective picture elements, from which a corrected image is obtained with the subject appearing with a corrected size corresponding to the size of the subject in the focal plane.

  • Patent number: 6570603
Abstract: In a method for multi-beam exposure of a printing form, preferably with laser beams, a computer transmits printing form data to a distributor via a data line as a sequence of recording lines and the distributor cyclically distributes the recording lines onto the input stages of an optics head where N parallel laser beams are generated and modulated with the printing form data of the recording lines. The laser beams are subdivided into active and inactive laser beams, recording lines of the printing form are transmitted via the data line for the active laser beams, and empty lines are inserted into the transmitted sequence of the recording lines for the inactive laser beams. The empty lines contain data values with which the inactive laser beams are driven dark.

  • Patent number: 6564904
Abstract: In order to provide a walk-on platform arrangement, comprising at least one first sub-platform, which is movable from a rest position in a direction of extension into a working position, and a second sub-platform, which in the working position is disposed behind the first sub-platform, wherein a rear boundary edge of the first sub-platform and a front boundary edge of the second sub-platform in the rest position are spaced vertically apart from one another, with which platform arrangement the risk of accident for an operative walking on the platform arrangement in the working position is reduced, it is proposed that the platform arrangement comprises a guide system, by means of which the relative motion between the first sub-platform and the second sub-platform as the first sub-platform moves into the working position is guided in such a way that the vertical distance between the rear boundary edge of the first sub-platform and the front boundary edge of the second sub-platform in the working position is smal

  • Patent number: 6564450
Abstract: In a printed circuit board pair, each of the printed circuit boards having a contact region with contact elements, a contact-making system includes a first circuit board having three-dimensionally structured contact elements and a second circuit board also having three-dimensionally structured contact elements structured complementarily with respect to the contact elements of the first circuit board for positioning the two boards together. The contact elements of the first board reciprocally electrically contact the contact elements of the second board. The configuration ensures a high positioning accuracy of the two contact regions with respect to one another. A mask having cutouts for contact elements of the two boards can be provided. Such contact element positioning using the conductor track pattern and being independent of a contact-making housing has the advantage that the positioning accuracy is unaffected by tolerances between the conductor track pattern and the contact-making housing.
