  • Patent number: 11909565
Abstract: Decision feedback equalization (DFE) is used to help reduce inter-symbol interference (ISI) from a data signal received via a band-limited (or otherwise non-ideal) channel. In embodiment, a single-ended receiver trains DFE coefficients and the slicer reference voltage to improve the received eye height. The process for training avoids many whole range sweeps thereby shortening training time. A custom data pattern that includes low-frequency (DC with respect to DFE) and high-frequency (AC with respect to DFE) worst cases is used for training in a closed loop manner. Negative DFE is used to measure the AC height of the data. Positive DFE is used to find the DC height of the data pattern.

  • Patent number: 11907369
Abstract: An out-of-order and speculative execution microprocessor that mitigates side channel attacks includes a cache memory and fill request generation logic that generates a request to fill the cache memory with a cache line implicated by a memory address that misses in the cache memory. At least one execution pipeline receives first and second load operations, detects a condition in which the first load generates a need for an architectural exception, the second load misses in the cache memory, and the second load is newer in program order than the first load, and prevents state of the cache memory from being affected by the miss of the second load by inhibiting the fill request generation logic from generating a fill request for the second load or by canceling the fill request for the second load if the fill request generation logic has already generated the fill request for the second load.

  • Publication number: 20240056625
Abstract: A data transmission method to transmit data contained in k independent data streams to k receivers with a data transmission device, wherein specific data stream identifiers are attached to the independent data streams and then multiplexed into I multiplexed data streams. The multiplexed data streams are then transmitted via I UARTs to k microcontrollers which demultiplex the multiplexed data streams and select one of the contained independent data streams via an allocation protocol. The allocation protocol is identical on all microcontrollers and utilizes the specific data stream identifiers to allocate the k independent data streams to exactly one of the k receivers. The microcontrollers then send their selected independent data stream to an allocated receiver.

  • Publication number: 20240056270
Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to methods, apparatus, and computer readable media configured to schedule individual orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) resources on an upstream channel to serve a data transmission request from a downstream device. A schedule for a set of available resources on the upstream channel to serve the data transmission request is generated, based on a dynamic bit loading profile, including generating data indicative of a first bit loading profile for a first set of resources from the set of available resources for a first burst, and data indicative of a second bit loading profile for a second set of resources from the set of available resources for a second burst. The schedule is transmitted to a downstream device, such that the downstream device is configured to encode the first burst using the first bit loading profile and the second burst using the second bit loading profile.

  • Publication number: 20240051760
Abstract: A manufacturing process converts a standard flat belt conveyor belt into a new, positively driven, pitch differential belt. A strip of thermoplastic material having a physical characteristic, such as melting temperature, that differs from the physical characteristic of the thermoplastic material comprising the conveyor belt, is applied to the drive side of a commercially available conveyor belt and machined to create a plurality of teeth, or drive bars, of any desired geometry that is configured to engage with the with sprockets or drums of the drive mechanism on the conveyor. The strip and/or drive bars can also be made by additive manufacturing, such as by 3D printing. Two ends of the resulting belt segment are cut to length and spliced, preferably with finger joints, to make a continuous loop using an industry standard hot-plate vulcanizer with a custom fitting called an alignment mold.

  • Patent number: 11902184
Abstract: PCIe devices installed in host computers communicating with service nodes can provide virtualized NVMe over fabric services. A workload on the host computer can submit an SQE on a NVMe SQ. The PCI device can read the SQE to obtain a command identifier, an OpCode, and a namespace identifier (NSID). The SQE can be used to produce a LTP packet that includes the opcode, the NSID, and a request identifier. The LTP packet can be sent to the service node, which may access a SAN in accordance with the opcode and NSID, and can respond to the LTP with a second LTP that includes the request identifier and a status indicator. The PCI device can use the status indicator and the request identifier to produce a CQE that is placed on a NVMe CQ associated with the SQ.

  • Patent number: 11896264
Abstract: Disclosed herein are push activated intraosseous (IO) access devices, and methods thereof. Embodiments include replaceable and rechargeable or non-rechargeable battery packs, or spring driven devices. Intraosseous access devices often require training to ensure correct placement of the access device. Users must coordinate the opposing actions of pulling proximally on a trigger, while applying sufficient distal drive force to penetrate the bone. Devices disclosed herein include an intuitive operation with a unidirectional activation and drive force application. Further the trigger is both activated and deactivated automatically to prevent premature activation and prevent “backwalling”. The device includes various indicators to further guide a user in placing the device correctly, with little or no training. Devices further include replaceable battery packs to ensure a full charge is available when the device is used, and to provide a multi-use device that requires less storage.
