  • Patent number: 12234903
Abstract: In the interior of a device housing of a strain wave gearing, a detection mechanism is incorporated at a site on the outer peripheral side of a hub of a wave generator. The hub of the wave generator is linked to a motor shaft so that axial force does not act thereon. The detection mechanism detects minute displacements in the axial direction that occur in the hub of the wave generator due to thrust acting on the wave generator. Thrust acting on the wave generator is obtained on the basis of the detected minute displacements. With this strain wave gearing in which the detection mechanism is incorporated, operation control that is responsive to sensed thrust is possible through the use of thrust information during operation.

  • Patent number: 12236763
Abstract: An optical fiber is monitored for an intrusion event where reflected optical signals are divided into streams each associated with a respective location on the optical fiber. Blocks of the streams are selected each containing a plurality of streams and the streams are collated, for example by averaging, to create a single stream to which an algorithm is applied to create coefficients which are compared with a threshold value to generate an output indicative of disturbance of the fiber by an intrusion event. Each block representative of a length of the fiber is thus treated as a zone and the detection algorithm is applied to each. This creates a DAS system that does not require unique tuning as each zone is independently monitored. Applying the above zone principles and algorithms to the DAS system also provides a high level of nuisance alarm and false alarm rejection.

  • Patent number: 12235744
Abstract: Snapshot-based disaster recovery (DR) orchestration systems and methods for virtual machine (VM) failover and failback do not require that VMs or their corresponding datastores be actively operating at the DR site before a DR orchestration job is initiated, i.e., before failover. An illustrative data storage management system deploys proprietary components at source data center(s) and at DR site(s). The proprietary components (e.g., storage manager, data agents, media agents, backup nodes, etc.) interoperate with each other and with the source and DR components to ensure that VMs will successfully failover and/or failback. DR orchestration jobs are suitable for testing VM failover scenarios (“clone testing”), for conducting planned VM failovers, and for unplanned VM failovers. DR orchestration jobs also handle failback and integration of DR-generated data into the failback site, including restoring VMs that never failed over to fully re-populate the source/failback site.

  • Patent number: 12235949
Abstract: A cloud server and an operation method thereof are provided. The cloud server is communicatively connected to at least one electronic device and at least one power device. The cloud server is used for determining whether an event occurs on any of the power devices, and determining whether a warning needs to be issued in response to the event. When both are determined to be yes, the cloud server pushes an alert message, generates a security key and a security lock, and transmits the security lock to the electronic devices associated with the event. Only when receiving a confirmation message in response to the alert message within a valid unlock time, the cloud server transmits the security key to the electronic devices associated with the event, so that the electronic devices associated with the event start to perform a corresponding operation after unlocking.

  • Patent number: 12236296
Abstract: A process for activating tracking labels of an item tracking system that uses a printer to activate labels as they are printed for use. Electronic tracking labels may have a removable portion that breaks an electrical circuit when removed; breaking the circuit activates the label. A printer with a label cutter may be used when labels are prepared for use, and the printer may be configured to cut off the removable portion of the label during label printing. This method automates label activation as part of the label preparation process. The printer may be programmed to position the boundary between the removable portion of the label and the rest of the label under the cutter, for example using knowledge of the label's layout. A printed, activated label output from the printer may be placed directly on an item to be tracked.

  • Patent number: 12234902
Abstract: A strain wave gearing includes an internally toothed gear integrated with an inner ring. A bolt hole is formed in the internally toothed gear. The bolt hole includes a bolt passage hole part, and a screw hole part extending in the direction of an axial line, continuously from the bolt passage hole part. The screw hole part, to which a bolt-fastening force is applied, is formed at a location away in the direction of the axial line from a location adjacent to a radially outer side of an internally toothed gear. Deformation, occurring during fastening of a bolt, at a portion in which the internally toothed gear is formed can be reduced, and adverse effects caused by the deformation such as a decrease in the accuracy of engagement or meshing of the internally toothed gear and an externally toothed gear can be inhibited.
