  • Patent number: 11048643
Abstract: This disclosure provides techniques hierarchical address virtualization within a memory controller and configurable block device allocation. By performing address translation only at select hierarchical levels, a memory controller can be designed to have predictable I/O latency, with brief or otherwise negligible logical-to-physical address translation time. In one embodiment, address transition may be implemented entirely with logical gates and look-up tables of a memory controller integrated circuit, without requiring processor cycles. The disclosed virtualization scheme also provides for flexibility in customizing the configuration of virtual storage devices, to present nearly any desired configuration to a host or client.

  • Patent number: 11048531
Abstract: A computer system includes a server and a computing device. The server include templates, with each template corresponding to an action that can be performed by an application service associated with the template. The computing device includes an editor to monitor user input for a template keyword that matches with one or more of the templates, display one or more application service options in response to the template keyword matching one or more of the templates, and display a user interface for the template associated with the application service option selected by a user. The editor is to receive template content data via the user interface to define the action corresponding to the template associated with the application service option selected by the user, and provide the template content data to the server. The server analyzes the template content data and the templates to determine the application service action to be performed.

  • Patent number: 11047906
Abstract: Method to extract timing diagrams from synchronized single- or two-photon pulsed LADA by spatially positioning the incident laser beam on circuit feature of interest, temporally scanning the arrival time of the laser pulse with respect to the tester clock or the loop length trigger signal, then recording the magnitude and sign of the resulting fail rate signature per laser pulse arrival time. A Single-Photon Laser-Assisted Device Alteration apparatus applies picosecond laser pulses of wavelength having photon energy equal to or greater than the silicon band-gap. A Two-Photon Laser-Assisted Device Alteration apparatus applies femtosecond laser pulses of wavelength having photon energy equal to or greater than half the silicon band-gap at the area of interest. The laser pulses are synchronized with test vectors so that pass/fail ratios can be altered using either the single-photon or the two-photon absorption effect. A sequence of synthetic images with error data illustrates timing sensitive locations.

  • Patent number: 11048396
Abstract: Techniques for configuring layouts and display view hierarchies and presenting display views in an operating environment of a process plant according to the layouts and display view hierarchies include providing graphical user controls at a graphical display configuration application for defining a layout. The layouts indicate a manner in which divide one or several display screens into one or several display regions, where each display region presents a display view that includes indications of process control elements. The graphical display configuration application also includes graphical user controls for defining a display view hierarchy of the display views by assigning levels of detail to the display views and designating some of the display views as subviews of other display views. An operator application obtains the defined layout and display view hierarchy and presents the display views at an operator workstation according to the obtained layout and/or display view hierarchy.

  • Patent number: 11047774
Abstract: The disclosure presents systems and methods for processing a specimen slide using a specimen processing system. Specimen slides may sequentially be ejected from a slide carrier towards a label reader to determine an appropriate processing protocol for the slides. A cracking element may be engaged with the slide carrier prior to ejecting the slide, in order to break or “crack” any residual adhesive bond between edges of a slide and walls of the carrier. The specimen slides may be horizontally aligned and resting on a corresponding plurality of flat shelves, enabling even spacing via gravitational forces. The slides are therefore evenly spaced, enabling damage-free ejection of slides, and proper positioning for additional operations including scanning, viewing, heating, washing, and other processing.

  • Patent number: 11047965
Abstract: A portable communication device implements a position indication method to determine and convey the relative locations of other portable communication devices in a group. In one embodiment, the portable communication devices are equipped with a GPS sensor and the position indication method determines relative locations of devices using GPS location data. In another embodiment, the portable communication devices determine relative locations of devices using the strength of the received signal as a proxy for distance. In some embodiments, the relative location information is conveyed to each portable communication device by modifying the audio signal playback. For example, a 3D audio playback may be used to convey the relative location information. In other embodiments, other non-audible location indication may be provided on each portable communication device.

  • Patent number: 11048843
Abstract: A compaction circuit in an emulation system may store in a data array emulation data that may be read in subsequent emulation steps. For each emulation step, the compaction circuit may receive keeptags from a local control store word of the emulation step and store portions of emulation data identified by the keeptags. The keeptags in the control store words may be inserted by a compiler based upon whether a corresponding read port of emulation processor reads the stored data in the subsequent steps. The compaction circuit may also translate the logical read address of the stored data to a physical read address in the shared data array. A dynamic modification engine may enable dynamic modification of netlists while using the compacted data array. In response to a request, the dynamic modification engine may modify one or more keeptags and update read addresses in the control store words.

  • Patent number: 11050860
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for network address analysis are provided. In the method, unique identification information of a target client device located in a local area network is obtained. Packets transmitted in the local area network are listened, and a packet transmitted between the target client device and a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server is identified from the listened packets according to the unique identification information. Finally, the identified packet is analyzed to obtain a network address assigned to the target client device by the DHCP server.
