Abstract: According to one embodiment, a network system features a first virtual private cloud (VPC) network and a second VPC network. The first VPC network includes a first plurality of gateways. Each gateway of the first plurality of gateways is in communications with other gateways. Similarly, a second VPC network includes a second plurality of gateways. Each of the second plurality of gateways is communicatively coupled to the each of the first plurality of gateways to support data exchanges between resources deployed in different public cloud networks.
Abstract: A system and method of unloading a heart chamber is described. The chamber can be a ventricle and the system can unload the ventricle during or after a heart attack. The ventricular unloading system includes a transthoracic needle insertable into the ventricle, a vascular access cannula insertable into a blood vessel, and a pump to move blood from the ventricle to the blood vessel through the transthoracic needle and the vascular access cannula. The ventricular unloading system can be used by an emergency medical technician in a non-hospital setting. Accordingly, the ventricular unloading system can provide early protection against infarct to improve clinical outcomes for a patient. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Abstract: A rotational atherectomy device includes a drive shaft, a cutter mechanism coupled to the drive shaft and configured to cut occlusive material from a lesion, and a multi-stage macerator coupled to the drive shaft and configured to macerate cut occlusive material into a fine slurry. Successive stages of the multi-stage macerator macerate the cut occlusive material into successively smaller particles, which are moved proximally through a lumen of a sheath of the device that surrounds the drive shaft proximal to the macerator. The device may include a movable cutter mechanism guard that is passively rotatable between a first position in which it covers the cutter mechanism and a second position in which it exposes the cutter mechanism. One or more features of the device may limit a depth to which the cutter mechanism is able to cut the occlusive material to reduce a likelihood of undesirable tissue dissection.

Abstract: Decrypting synthetic transactions with beacon packets is provided. A probe receives, from a client device, a start beacon packet that identifies a test of a service provided by one or more servers. The probe establishes, responsive to receipt of the start beacon packet, a log for the test. The probe stores, in the log established responsive to the start beacon packet, data packets transmitted between the client device and the one or more servers subsequent to the start beacon packet and encrypted with a key using a security protocol. The probe receives, from the client device, key information used to decrypt the data packets of the test encrypted with the key using the security protocol. The probe provides at least one of the data packets for evaluation or decryption using the key information to determine a performance of the service.

Abstract: An automated control system for a glider towed by a tug employs a camera mounted on one of the aircraft to view the other (the “target”). An optical recognition system receives images from the camera and determines the relative range and bearing of the target. A controller determines corrections to the flight characteristics of the glider in response to the range and bearing data from the optical recognition system. An interface to the flight controls of the glider maintains the desired flight characteristics of the glider provided by the controller.

Abstract: The present invention includes an apparatus configured for aquaculture, and more specifically for kelp growth and kelp farming. The apparatus includes a vertical central mast connected to horizontal buoyancy bars that are also connected to six vertical vertex struts surrounding the central mast. Buoyancy bars further connect adjacent vertex struts, such that the top profile of the apparatus is a hexagon. The apparatus is able to be connected to and share elements of other similar apparatuses, allowing for ease of aggregation of the apparatuses for scalable farming. The central mast is optionally configured to integrate a wind turbine, which is optionally able to power water pumps in the six vertex struts, which serve to transport water upward around the apparatus for more efficient carbon sequestration by the apparatus.
