Patent number: 9912591Abstract: An exact-match flow table structure of an integrated circuit stores flow entries. Each flow entry includes a Flow Id and an action value. Each Flow Id is a multi-bit digital value that uniquely identifies a flow. A Flow Id does not include any wildcard indictor. The flow table structure cannot and does not store an indicator that any particular part of a packet should be matched against any part of a Flow Id. In one example, a packet is received onto the integrated circuit. A Flow Id is generated from the packet. If the flow table structure determines that the Flow Id is a bit-by-bit exact-match of any Flow Id of any stored flow entry, then the packet is handled according to the action value of the flow entry. If, on the other hand, there is not exact-match, then a miss indication is output from the integrated circuit.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2015Date of Patent: March 6, 2018Assignee: Netronome Systems, Inc.Inventors: Gavin J. Patent number: 9909990Abstract: Naphthalene, benzene, toluene, xylene, and other volatile organic compounds VOCs have been identified as serious health hazards. Embodiments of the invention are directed to methods and apparatus for near-real-time in-situ detection and accumulated dose measurement of exposure to naphthalene vapor and other hazardous gaseous VOCs. The methods and apparatus employ excitation of fluorophors native or endogenous to compounds of interest using light sources emitting in the ultraviolet below 300 nm and measurement of native fluorescence emissions in distinct wavebands above the excitation wavelength. The apparatus of some embodiments are cell-phone-sized sensor/dosimeter “badges” to be worn by personnel potentially exposed to hazardous VOCs. The badge sensor of some embodiments provides both real time detection and data logging of exposure to naphthalene or other VOCs of interest from which both instantaneous and accumulated dose can be determined.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 2016Date of Patent: March 6, 2018Assignee: Photon Systems, Inc.Inventors: William F. Patent number: 9912049Abstract: A dual-band Wi-Fi antenna structure includes a metallic middle frame of a casing of a handheld electronic device, a grounding plane received in the middle frame, an antenna body connected to the grounding plane, and an adjusting element. The grounding plane defines a rectangular recess in a corner thereof. The antenna body has a radiation patch having a part located over the recess. The adjusting element is located in the recess. An effective length of the recess is adjustable by adjusting a parameter of the adjusting element, which is a coefficient of self-inductance when the adjusting element is an adjustable inductor. By adjusting the effective length of the recess, a resonant frequency of the antenna structure at a low frequency band is adjustable, while a resonant frequency thereof at a high frequency band is not altered.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2014Date of Patent: March 6, 2018Assignee: Chiun Mai Communication Systems, Inc.Inventors: Tze-Hsuan Chang, Cho-Kang Hsu

Patent number: 9907968Abstract: Delivery of an implantable wireless receiver-stimulator (R-S) into the heart using delivery catheter is described. R-S comprises a cathode and an anode and wirelessly receives and converts energy, such as acoustic ultrasound energy, to electrical energy to stimulate the heart. Conductive wires routed through the delivery system temporarily connect R-S electrodes to external monitor and pacing controller. R-S comprises a first temporary electrical connection from the catheter to the cathode, and a second temporary electrical connection from the catheter to the anode. Temporary electrical connections allow external monitoring of heart's electrical activity as sensed by R-S electrodes to determine tissue viability for excitation as well as to assess energy conversion efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2016Date of Patent: March 6, 2018Assignee: EBR Systems, Inc.Inventors: David F. Patent number: 9911253Abstract: A vehicle event recorder is provided that includes a camera for capturing a video as discrete image frames, and that further includes a managed loop memory and a management system for generating a virtual ‘timeline dilation’ effect. To overcome size limits in the buffer memory of the video event recorder, the maximum time extension of a video series is increased by enabling a reduction in temporal resolution in exchange for an increase in the temporal extension. Memory cells are overwritten in an ‘interleaved’ fashion to produce a reduced frame rate for the recording of certain time periods connected to an event moment. In time periods furthest from the event moment, the resulting frame rate is minimized while in time periods closest to the event moment, the resulting frame rate is maximized.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2015Date of Patent: March 6, 2018Assignee: SmartDrive Systems, Inc.Inventor: James Plante
