Abstract: A preformed web and a method of producing dunnage units from the preformed web. The web is an elongate flattened thermoplastic tube having an inflation edge and an opposite edge. The tube includes spaced transverse seals that define sides of pouches. In one embodiment, the web is configured such that a gap forms between each pair of adjacent pouches when the pouches are inflated. In one embodiment, an inflation edge of the web comprises a frangible connection that allows the inflation edge to be broken by an unsharpened object.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the invention, a method of simulating a circuit is disclosed including simulating an analog component of the circuit over a first simulation time period with a first envelope simulation; adaptively switching from simulating the analog component with the first envelope simulation to simulating the analog component with a transient simulation over a second simulation time period; and adaptively switching from simulating the analog component with the transient simulation to simulating the analog component with a second envelope simulation over a third simulation time period. The adaptive switching from the first envelope simulation to the transient simulation may be in response to the envelope simulation accuracy falling below a predetermined level of accuracy in comparison with a transient simulation or in response to the second simulation time period including expected digital transitions where one or more digital events may occur to change the analog input signals to the analog component.

Abstract: A solid imaging apparatus and method employing sub-pixel shifting in multiple exposures of the digitally light projected image of a cross-section of a three-dimensional object on a solidifiable liquid medium. The multiple exposures provide increased resolution, preserving image features in a three-dimensional object and smoothing out rough or uneven edges that would otherwise be occur using digital light projectors that are limited by the number of pixels in an image projected over the size of the image. Algorithms are used to select pixels to be illuminated within the boundary of each image projected in the cross-section being exposed.

Abstract: A computing system is disclosed that includes a memory controller in a processor socket normally reserved for a processor. A plurality of non-volatile memory modules may be plugged into memory sockets normally reserved for DRAM memory modules. The non-volatile memory modules may be accessed using a data communication protocol to access the non-volatile memory modules. The memory controller controls read and write accesses to the non-volatile memory modules. The memory sockets are coupled to the processor socket by printed circuit board traces. The data communication protocol to access the non-volatile memory modules is communicated over the printed circuit board traces and through the sockets normally used to access DRAM type memory modules.

Abstract: A patient hydration system with an infusion subsystem responsive to a source of hydration fluid for infusing the patient with hydration fluid. A urine output measurement subsystem determines the amount of urine output by the patient. A setting is received corresponding to an amount of urine to be output by the patient. When or after the urine output measurement subsystem indicates the set amount of urine has been output by the patient, the infusion subsystem is controlled to administer hydration fluid to the patient based on the patient's further urine output.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the invention is directed toward a networked grain aeration control system. For example, the system can provide centralized monitoring of the aeration of a number of grain storage facilities, thereby improving the management of stored grain. The networked grain aeration control system can allow the custodian of the system to offer an aeration service. Farmers, or other individuals, cooperatives, or companies can purchase the aeration service at a cost proportionate to the amount of stored grain to be aerated and the duration of storage. In this manner, the purchaser of the aeration service can avoid relatively high fixed costs that can be associated with various aeration hardware.

Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically controlling bandwidth of connections are described. In some embodiments, a proxy for one or more connections may allocate, distribute, or generate indications of network congestion via one or more connections in order to induce the senders of the connections to reduce their rates of transmission. The proxy may allocate, distribute, or generate these indications in such a way as to provide quality of service to one or more connections, or to ensure that a number of connections transmit within an accepted bandwidth limit. In other embodiments, a sender of a transport layer connection may have a method for determining a response to congestion indications which accounts for a priority of the connection. In these embodiments, a sender may reduce or increase parameters related to transmission rate at different rates according to a priority of the connection.

Abstract: Techniques for dispensing a type of liquid in a specific amount or at a constant flow rate are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, a height difference between an inlet and an outlet is maintained by an adjustable tubing assembly. An overflow assembly is provided to divert any overflow of the liquid from entering a reservoir and keep a specific level of the liquid. A valve is provided to the inlet and can be turned off when a sensor detects that there is an overflow of the liquid in the overflow assembly.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for obtaining recycled mixed cullet at a beneficiator and/or a material recovery facility (MRF). The composition of the cullet, or portions thereof, can be certified for use by a party other than the beneficiator and/or the MRF. The recycled mixed cullet can be used, for example, by glass plants to make new glass articles, such as beverage bottles.

Abstract: A model of a particular biological state can be developed. The model may be used to determine if an unknown biological sample exhibits a particular biological state. This can be done by receiving either a biological sample or data associated with the biological sample. After the data is received, the data may be input into the model. In one embodiment, the acquisition of the data associated with the biological sample is performed at a first location and the imputing of the data into the model is performed at a second location different than the first location. Unless the data maps identically to the model, the data would have an inherent effect on the position of the particular clusters within the discriminatory pattern, if it is allowed to affect the model. The modeling software can keep track of the net effect on the model that each sample received has on the position of the model. If the model has drifted outside of a predetermined tolerance, the model can be updated.

Abstract: A system produces certified content by receiving original content acquired from a content acquisition device and receiving a device identity associated with the content acquisition device. The system produces a certification value indicating the original content was acquired from the content acquisition device having the device identity. The system associates the certification value to the original content to produce certified content that can be verified to represent the original content that was acquired from a content acquisition device having the associated device identity while preventing modification to the original content by processing not associated with certification processing. This process is performed in an uninterrupted manner to ensure certified content reflects an accurate device identity. The system can be implemented entirely within a content acquisition device itself, or in a computer system coupled to a content acquisition device.

Abstract: A teaser reel with an audible alarm and line guide provides awareness and protection while trolling for fish. The teaser reel alerts boat personnel that the dredge is being struck by fish and allows quick action to be taken to protect the dredge from damage or loss. The audible alarm consists of a cogwheel affixed to a teaser reel spool with a pivotable pawl positioned contiguous the cogwheel. As the spool turns the pawl strikes each cog in succession to emit a loud, shrill sound. A dredge line guide is also affixed to the teaser reel to prevent damage and injury to boat personnel from inadvertent unwinding of the dredge line into the boat.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system for transferring a liquid consumable product, such as milk, from a bulk storage tank to a transport vehicle receiving tank or from one bulk tank to another whether stationary or mobile. The system increases the efficiency with which the milk is transferred from the bulk tank to the transport vehicle by providing a centrifugal pump permanently positioned on the milk producer's premises proximal the bulk tank. The system includes an air-purge system for removing any residual milk from the pump and transfer lines once pumping has ceased, as well as a wash system for cleaning the pump system components after use. In addition to transferring milk from the bulk tank to the transport truck, the centrifugal pump is conveniently adaptable for use in the washing operations, thereby adding to the efficiency of the overall system.

Abstract: An interface switch which presents itself as switch to an enterprise fabric formed of the devices from the same manufacturer as the interface switch and that of a host or node to an enterprise fabric from a different manufacturer. This allows each enterprise fabric to remain in a higher performance operating mode. The multiplexing of multiple streams of traffic between the N_ports on the first enterprise fabric and the second enterprise fabric is accomplished by N_port Virtualization. The interface switch can be connected to multiple enterprise fabrics. All control traffic address mappings between virtual and physical addresses may be mediated and translated by the CPU of the interface switch and address mappings for data traffic performed at wire speed. Since the interface switch may preferably be a single conduit between the enterprise fabrics, it is also a good point to enforce perimeter defenses against attacks.
