Abstract: A system is provided for publishing a disparate per-client live media output stream based on dynamic insertion of targeted non-programming content and customized programming content. A first manifest request, including one or more parameters, is received from a first client device. Based on one or more parameters and associated indexed metadata, a first additional content that includes customized first programming content and targeted first non-programming content for first client device are determined. A first programming schedule is generated for first client device based on selected one or more live input streams and/or one or more pre-encoded media assets, indexed metadata, and first additional content. A first disparate live media output stream manifest for first client device is published based on insertion of selected one or more live input stream manifests and/or one or more pre-encoded media asset manifests, indexed metadata, and first additional content in accordance with first programming schedule.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and articles of manufacture for reducing interferences and disturbances in a multi-fabric electronic design. These techniques identify connectivity for an electronic design that includes design data in multiple design fabrics. One or more interference modules are executed to detect a loop in the electronic design with at least the connectivity. These techniques further execute the one or more interference reduction modules to determine at least one critical circuit component upon which the loop exerts a negative impact. One or more remedial actions are then triggered to reduce or eliminate the negative impact on the critical circuit component design.

Abstract: Systems and methods for storage pruning can enable users to delete, edit, or copy backed up data that matches a pattern. Storage pruning can enable fine-grain deletion or copying of these files from backups stored in secondary storage devices. Systems and methods can also enable editing of metadata associated with backups so that when the backups are restored or browsed, the logical edits to the metadata can then be performed physically on the data to create a custom restore or a custom view. A user may perform operations such as renaming, deleting, modifying flags, and modifying retention policies on backed up items. Although the underlying data in the backup may not change, the view of the backup data when the user browses the backup data can appear to include the user's changes. A restore of the data can cause those changes to be performed on the backup data.
Abstract: An initiator assembly that includes a housing assembly, an exploding foil initiator, an input charge and an output charge. The housing assembly defines a first cavity, a second cavity, and a bulkhead member between the first and second cavities. The exploding foil initiator is received in the housing assembly and includes a bridge, a flyer and a barrel. The flyer overlies the bridge and is disposed between the barrel and the bridge. The barrel defines a barrel aperture. The input charge, which is formed of a secondary explosive, is received in the housing assembly and is disposed in-line with the barrel aperture. The output charge assembly is received in the housing assembly and is formed of a secondary explosive. Energy released from detonation of the input charge in response to operation of the exploding foil initiator penetrates the bulkhead and initiates detonation of the output charge.

Abstract: There is provided processes and uses of an inline saturator for maintaining fish in a cage in an open body of water, the process comprising: restricting movement of water into and out of a part of the cage and forming a portion of water within the part of the cage. The process also includes injecting oxygenated water produced by an inline saturator into the portion of water to raise a dissolved oxygen level and to lower a dissolved nitrogen gas level therein. A treatment process is also provided that includes the steps noted above and further including introducing a medicinal substance into the oxygenated water or the portion of the body of water.
Abstract: The inventive subject matter disclosed herein includes multiple novel filter media made of activated rice husks, as well as filtration systems and methods for removing contaminants from an aqueous solution, such as wastewater produced as a byproduct of various industrial processes, including mining, oil and gas exploration and extraction, farming, manufacturing, and the like.
Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to methods, apparatus, and computer readable media configured to schedule individual orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) resources on an upstream channel to serve a data transmission request from a downstream device. A schedule for a set of available resources on the upstream channel to serve the data transmission request is generated, based on a dynamic bit loading profile, including generating data indicative of a first bit loading profile for a first set of resources from the set of available resources for a first burst, and data indicative of a second bit loading profile for a second set of resources from the set of available resources for a second burst. The schedule is transmitted to a downstream device, such that the downstream device is configured to encode the first burst using the first bit loading profile and the second burst using the second bit loading profile.
Abstract: Seal systems are provided that use a variety of seals to seal fluid processing apparatuses, such as gear pumps, to facilitate the prevention of a leakage of fluids from the respective fluid processing apparatuses. Fluid apparatuses that use such seal systems are also provided. Methods of uses, making, and assembly of seal systems are further described herein.
Abstract: A cast concrete durable light fixture design and assembly that will allow in-ground lighting features for roadways, pathways and architectural features providing a simple installation for a drive over in-grade or in-ground lighting fixture. The cast concrete design enables curves and shapes to be manufactured as easily as straight or linear configurations.
Abstract: Various aspects described or referenced herein are directed to different methods, systems, and computer program products for facilitating real-time optimization of computer-implemented application operations using machine learning techniques.

Abstract: A receiver is provided that includes a multi-user RAKE receiver that can receive a plurality of transmissions directly received from a plurality of nodes of a cooperative broadcast multi-hop network and multipath components of those transmissions, a combiner module and a data despreader module. The multi-user RAKE receiver includes correlator blocks for each of the plurality of nodes and a finger selection module. Each correlator block generates one or more candidate fingers for that particular node. The finger selection module can select a subset of the candidate fingers having sufficient correlation for further processing. The combiner module can combine aligned symbols for each of the subset of candidate fingers to generate and combine soft decisions across each of the channels into a joint soft decision. The data despreader module can despread and convert chips from respective data channels to generate demodulated data symbols that are converted into data soft-decision bits.
Abstract: An over-mount structure for over-mounting a vehicle start/stop button that is mounted in a housing with a gap defined between an outer periphery of the start/stop button and an inner periphery of the housing. The over-mount structure includes a mounting body having a first, generally cylindrical, mounting portion having a wall thickness sized to be received within the gap and having an inner diameter sized to make a removable press-fit engagement with an outer diameter of the start/stop button. The mounting body also includes a second generally cylindrical mounting portion, integral with the first mounting portion and in opposing relation therewith. A faceplate is removably coupled to the second mounting portion to cover an end thereof.

Abstract: A horizontal roof deck assembly has a ribbed steel roof deck sufficiently strong to withstand specified gravity, uplift, and shear loads. Rigid substrate boards are positioned adjacent one another above the deck, defining end and side joints. End joints are parallel to and above a corresponding upper rib of the roof deck and are secured to the upper rib by compression disk fasteners spaced along the end joint. The side joints can be tongue and groove joints. Additional fasteners attach the substrate boards to the roof deck along the side joints, for wind uplift resistance, and for thermal movement resistance.
Abstract: Systems according to the present disclosure provide one or more surfaces that function as power radiating surfaces for which at least a portion of the radiating surface includes or is composed of “fractal cells” placed sufficiently closed close together to one another so that a surface wave causes near replication of current present in one fractal cell in an adjacent fractal cell. The fractal cells may lie on a flat or curved sheet or layer and be composed in layers for wide bandwidth or multibandwidth transmission. The area of a surface and its number of fractals determines the gain relative to a single fractal cell. The boundary edges of the surface may be terminated resistively so as to not degrade the cell performance at the edges. The fractal plasmonic surfaces can be utilized to facilitate electrical conduction with lower ohmic resistance than would otherwise be possible in the absence of the fractal plasmonic surface(s) at the same temperature.
