Abstract: A blind spot detection system for a motorcycle, which includes an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a detection device for detecting the presence of a vehicle in at least one blind spot. The accelerometer detects a gravity force vector, and the gyroscope detects the position of the motorcycle relative to the gravity force vector such that a lean angle of the motorcycle is calculated. The detection device is then configured to maintain the same position of the motorcycle relative to the gravity force vector and compensate for the position of the motorcycle if the lean angle is greater or less than 90°, such that the detection device is able to detect the presence of the vehicle in the at least one blind spot, independent of the lean angle of the motorcycle.

Abstract: A method for notifying an event arising from an electronic device activates a wireless connection between the electronic device and a user-wearable device. A signal intensity of a wireless signal from the wearable device is measured and compared with multiple preset values. The method determines a signal range to which the signal intensity belongs, wherein the multiple preset values define the multiple signal intensity ranges. Notification of an event is issued in the notifying manner corresponding to the intensity range to which the signal intensity belongs.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for the collection, aggregation, and processing of network traffic statistics for a plurality of network appliances in a wide area network. Select network traffic statistics can be collected and associated with a hierarchical string, and aggregated over time. In this way, only information that is likely to be relevant is gathered and maintained, allowing for the maintenance of select network traffic statistics for large-scale operations.

Abstract: A weight measurement system includes a load-bearing member, a sensing module, a processor, and a prompting module. The load-bearing member supports an object and is made of an elastic material. The sensing module is electromagnetically coupled with the load-bearing member. The processor is electrically connected to the sensing module. The prompting module is electrically connected to the processor. The sensing module outputs a sensing signal to the processor upon detecting a deformation of the load-bearing member caused by the object. The processor processes the sensing signal and outputs a weight signal to the prompting module.
Abstract: System and method for generating and storing electricity by electromagnetic induction using a magnetic field modulated by the formation, dissipation, and movement of vortices produced by a vortex material such as a type II superconductor and further including a vortex flux generator in cryostat and a refrigerant compartment having bi-directionally thermal transfer to the vortex flux generator are described. Magnetic field modulation occurs at the microscopic level, facilitating the production of high frequency electric power. Generator inductors are manufactured using microelectronic fabrication, in at least one dimension corresponding to the spacing of vortices. The vortex material fabrication method establishes the alignment of vortices and generator coils, permitting the electromagnetic induction of energy from many vortices into many coils simultaneously as a cumulative output of electricity. A thermoelectric cycle is used to convert heat energy into electricity.
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses may provide password encryption for hybrid cloud services. A workspace cloud connector internally residing with an entity may intercept user credentials associated with an internal application being transmitted to an external cloud service. The workspace cloud connector may generate an encryption key and encrypt the user credentials via a reversible encryption methodology. The workspace cloud connector may encrypt the encryption key using an irreversible encryption methodology (e.g., use a hashing function to produce a first hash). The workspace cloud connector may transmit the encrypted user credentials and the first hash to a virtual delivery agent via a first path (e.g., via the external cloud service). In response, the workspace cloud connector may receive an address of the virtual delivery agent and, using the address, may send the encryption key to the virtual delivery agent via a second path different from the first path.
Abstract: A vessel closure device that includes improved activation and alignment mechanisms that result in greater control and ease of use for the user.
Abstract: An approach is described for yield calculation using statistical timing data that accounts for path and stage delay correlation. Embodiments of the present invention provide an improved approach for yield calculation using statistical timing data that accounts for path and stage delay correlation. According to some embodiments, the approach includes receiving statistical timing analysis data, identifying paths for performing timing analysis, performing timing analysis where common segments of different paths are analyzed using shared data and where subsequent stages are transformed to provide an expected correlation between stages, and generating yield probability results based on at least the results of calculating timing analysis.

Abstract: An emulation system comprises a first computing device having a processor configured to generate a synchronization clock signal on receiving a data transfer request. The first computing device further comprises a first non-transitory machine-readable memory buffer storing machine readable binary data. The emulation system further comprises an emulator controller configured to receive the synchronization clock signal from the first computing device. The emulation system further comprises a memory port controller configured to initiate transfer of the machine readable binary data from the first non-transitory machine-readable memory buffer to a non-transitory machine-readable hardware memory, in response to receiving the synchronization clock signal from the emulator controller, during a latency period of the synchronization clock signal.
Abstract: A method for capturing an image includes obtaining location coordinates of an electronic device when a camera device enters a preview mode. Images are obtained according to the obtained location coordinates. The obtained images are displayed on a display device. One of the obtained images is set to be a reference image. Orientation parameters of the reference image and orientation parameters of the electronic device are obtained. One or more difference values are calculated using the obtained orientation parameters. The one or more difference values are displayed on the display device according to one or more indicating icons. Once an adjustment to the orientation of the electronic device is ended, the camera device is controlled to capture an image.
Abstract: A self-deploying float assembly to support mechanical equipment such as aerators and mixers for use in water, wastewater and process water stream treatment basins and a method of installing same.
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the methods and systems disclosed herein determine a location of a tracked object with respect to a coordinate system of a sensor array by using analog signals from sensors having overlapping nonlinear responses. Hyperacuity and real time tracking are achieved by either digital or analog processing of the sensor signals. Multiple sensor arrays can be configured in a plane, on a hemisphere or other complex surface to act as a single sensor or to provide a wide field of view and zooming capabilities of the sensor array. Other embodiments use the processing methods to adjust to contrast reversals between an image and the background.
