  • Patent number: 10325275
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for communications bandwidth enhancement using Orthogonal Spatial Division Multiplexing (OSDM). For example, large sparse antenna arrays may be able to distinguish between signals emitted by multiple nearly collocated antennas, even if the signals have the same frequency, polarization, and coverage. Thus, the use of a large sparse antenna array may be able to resolve/isolate individual antennas on a single platform, allowing for OSDM, analogous to Orthogonal Frequency Divisional Multiplexing (OFDM). Using OSDM, multiple antennas on the same vehicle are able to reuse the same frequencies/polarizations without interference, thereby increasing spectrum availability while still providing the same transmitter power spectral density and total RF power emission.

  • Patent number: 10325169
Abstract: A spatio-temporal awareness engine combines a low-resolution tracking process and high resolution tracking process to employ an array of imaging sensors to track an object within the visual field. The system utilizes a low-resolution conversion through noise filtering and feature consolidation to load-balance the more computationally-intensive aspects of object tracking, allowing for a more robust system, while utilizing less computer resources. A process for target recovery and object path prediction in a robotic drone may include tracking targets using a combination of visual and acoustic multimodal sensors, operating a camera as a main tracking sensor of the multimodal sensors and feeding output of the camera to a spatiotemoral engine, complementing the main tracking sensor with non-visual, fast secondary sensors to assign rough directionality to a target tracking signal, and applying the rough directionality to prioritize visual scanning by the main tracking sensor.

The system stores a mapping of data in production and archive databases to multiple different data storage locations, including a production system storing at least one production database and an archive system storing at least one archive database. The system receives a data request from an application component, which manages or receives data from a user interface and has received the data request directly from the user interface. The system translates the data request to one or more database queries based on the mapping. The system causes to execute the database queries against data on the production or archive system. The system returns a result of executing the one or more database queries to the application component, where the application component returns the result to the user via the user interface.

  • Patent number: 10326551
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for forward packet recovery in a communication network with constrained network bandwidth overhead. In exemplary embodiments, a target byte protection ratio is determined. Error correcting frames are dynamically generated by a first processor such that error correcting information can be generated to approximate the target byte protection ratio. The data packets and error correcting information are then transmitted across one or more communication networks to a second processor. The second processor can use the error correcting information to regenerate or replace data packets missing or corrupted in transmission across one or more communication networks.
