  • Publication number: 20170037808
Abstract: A closed loop control system for a fuel pump based on characteristics of speed, pressure, and current. The pressure generated by the pump system is increased at the point in time when the pump system is working against a dead head system (i.e., coasting) to a level that a calibration valve is opened to a determined working point. By measuring the characteristic phase current as a function of the speed, the characteristic is able to be compared, with the pre-calibrated value of the hardware to perform an error compensation algorithm. The error compensation is overlaid with the standard pressure characteristic as a function of speed and phase current, and uses the pre-calibrated opening pressure value (i.e., the inflection point) of the calibration valve and/or in addition the change of the speed to the initial (first calibration), or to a sliding average therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20170037657
Abstract: An actuator-controlled strike comprising a housing disposable within a doorframe and including a cavity for a spring latch and a dead latch of a mortise-type lockset. A keeper is pivotably mounted within the chamber to engage the spring latch. A pivotably mounted kicker cooperates with the keeper. A pivotably mounted dead latch release is supported by the keeper when the spring latch is within the strike. The keeper is released by the actuator and rotates into a position to ramp the spring latch out of the strike, also allowing the dead latch release to release the dead latch into the cavity, allowing the spring latch to be ramped out of the strike. Pivoting the keeper causes the kicker to urge the spring latch onto an exit ramp on a face of the keeper. The dead latch release can be installed in a plurality of different locations in the housing.

  • Patent number: 9563514
Abstract: A comprehensive approach to streaming backups for virtual machines (“VMs”) in a storage management system comprises improvements to the assignment of data agent proxies for VM secondary copy operations. New considerations in performing a VM streaming backup job include without limitation: determining and enforcing a system-wide per-proxy limit of concurrent data streams; generating an ordered priority list of the VMs to be backed up as a basis for choosing which proxies will back up the respective VM, though the illustrative system may not strictly adhere to the priority list based on further considerations; identifying a next available proxy based on data stream utilization at the proxy; and dynamically re-generating the priority list and re-evaluating considerations if some VMs become “stranded” due to a failure to be backed up. Secondary copy operations are distributed to proxies in ways that improve the chances of successfully completing VM streaming backups.

  • Patent number: 9565176
Abstract: Methods and systems for securely accessing content irrespective of the security of the environment in which the content is being accessed are described herein. In some embodiments, a mobile computing device may determine whether secure enterprise content is being accessed on a mobile computing device. In response to determining that a private user device (e.g., virtual reality or augmented reality headwear/eyewear), is communicatively coupled to the mobile computing device, the mobile computing device may prevent the secure content from display on the mobile computing device and instead generate the secure enterprise content for presentation in an unencrypted form on the private user device.

  • Patent number: 9563737
Abstract: Methods and systems for checking or verifying shapes in electronic designs are disclosed. The method identifies a dictionary (if pre-existing) or determining the dictionary by creating the dictionary and reduces dimensionality of design data by using a sliced line. Shapes are transformed into sliced line segments along the sliced line. Dictionary entries for shapes are associated with corresponding sliced line segments, and the design is checked or verified using the sliced line segments and the associated dictionary entries rather than using two-dimensional shapes or geometric data. Sliced line segments may be further partitioned or merged. Non-conforming shapes corresponding to no tracks of track patterns are identified and determined whether violations of design rules or requirements may be resolved by one or more other shapes using the corresponding sliced line segments.

  • Patent number: 9565251
Abstract: Data frames, such as Controller Access Network frames, that are to be programmed into a FLASH memory device, are sent from a programming station to a target device via a relatively high-speed bus and stored temporarily at the target device in numbered frame buffers. Each frame carries a payload. Before a frame is sent, an identifier is assigned to it, or an identifier is appended to the frame. The identifier identifies a particular buffer in the target device where the frame is to be stored in the target device until the target device is able to process the frame and write its payload into a FLASH memory device.
