  • Publication number: 20170012547
Abstract: A method is shown to create soft transition in selected topologies by preserving the leakage inductance energy during the dead time and using several techniques to supplement the energy require to discharge the parasitic capacitance of the primary switchers and obtain zero voltage switching. One technique consists in a current pulse injection across the synchronous rectifiers during the dead time and prior the turn off of the synchronous rectifiers. A second technique consist in tailoring the magnetizing current through frequency modulation to increase the energy in the leakage inductance and use that energy to discharge the parasitic capacitance of the primary switchers and at lighter load to have a magnetizing current which exceeds the current through the output inductor at the end of the dead time. The third technique is interleaving two converters and sharing a couple inductance in a way to lower the current through each output inductor under the level of the magnetizing current at its lowest amplitude.

  • Patent number: 9542118
Abstract: This disclosure provides techniques of hierarchical address virtualization within a memory controller and configurable block device allocation. By performing address translation only at select hierarchical levels, a memory controller can be designed to have predictable I/O latency, with brief or otherwise negligible logical-to-physical address translation time. In one embodiment, address transition may be implemented entirely with logical gates and look-up tables of a memory controller integrated circuit, without requiring processor cycles. The disclosed virtualization scheme also provides for flexibility in customizing the configuration of virtual storage devices, to present nearly any desired configuration to a host or client.

  • Patent number: 9541973
Abstract: A computer provides a graphical user interface for displaying a virtual representation of a voltage regulator and for accepting a user requirement for the voltage regulator. The computer automatically determines an internal calibration setting of the voltage regulator that meets the user requirement. The computer simulates operation of the voltage regulator as calibrated with the internal calibration setting. The internal calibration setting is downloaded to the voltage regulator. A calibration controller of the voltage regulator receives the internal calibration setting and outputs digital calibration bits in accordance with the internal calibration setting. The digital calibration bits works in conjunction with interface circuits to adjust circuits of a voltage regulator core to digitally calibrate the voltage regulator.

  • Patent number: 9544271
Abstract: An anonymous communication module that provides full conversational anonymous messaging and voice/video communication between two or more parties interacting over a wireless/landline network. An anonymous messaging module accepts an anonymous initiation message to a public address to trigger the start of an anonymous voice/video conversation between a message originator and a message recipient. An anonymous communication module performs intercept and address substitution on a message and/or voice/video call transmitted between two or more parties via an anonymous communication service. The anonymous communication module substitutes a real address in the source field of an intercepted message and/or voice/video call, with an anonymous address mapped to that real address, and substitutes an anonymous address in the destination field of an intercepted message and/or voice/video call with a real address mapped to that anonymous address.

  • Patent number: 9545032
Abstract: An enclosure includes a housing defining an interior chamber for receiving an electronic assembly. The housing is made of a thermally conductive material so as to operate as a heat sink. The housing has a heat transfer surface within the interior chamber for receiving heat generating components thereon, and an interior groove within the interior chamber. The enclosure also includes a retaining clip having a clip length, a first portion extending along the clip length for engaging the interior groove, and a second portion extending along the clip length for engaging the heat generating components. The retaining clip is made from a resilient material and is sized and shaped such that positioning the first portion in the interior groove flexes the retaining clip and presses the second portion against the heat generating components so as to bias the heat generating components into thermal contact with the heat transfer surface.

  • Patent number: 9543854
Abstract: The invention provides a solar photovoltaic three-phase micro-inverter system comprising a plurality of three-phase micro-inverters. Every three of the three-phase micro-inverters form a group and are coupled to a three-phase AC power grid. Each of the three-phase micro-inverters comprises 3 single-phase inverter circuits, each of the single-phase inverter circuits comprises 2 conversion circuits, and each of the conversion circuits corresponds to one phase of the three-phase AC power grid. AC outputs of the same conversion circuits of the three micro-inverters in one group are coupled to three-phase live wires of the three-phase AC power grid respectively. Accordingly, the invention provides a method for improving conversion efficiency of the solar photovoltaic three-phase micro-inverter system.

  • Patent number: 9538950
Abstract: The present invention relates to a brain dysfunction and seizure detector monitor and system, and a method of detecting brain dysfunction and/or seizure of a subject. Preferably, the present invention also includes one or more seizure detection algorithms. The analysis method is specifically optimized to amplify abnormal brain activity and minimize normal background activity yielding a seizure index directly related to the current presence of ictal activity in the signal. Additionally, a seizure probability index based on historical values of the aforementioned seizure index, is derived for diagnostic purposes. The seizure probability index quantifies the probability that the patient has exhibited abnormal brain activity since the beginning of the recording. These indexes can be used in the context of emergency and/or clinical situations to assess the status and well-being of a patient's brain, or can be used to automatically administer treatment to stop the seizure before clinical signs appear.
