  • Patent number: 7630378
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for improving QoS mechanisms during bandwidth allocation in CDMA mobile communication systems, characterized in that the user terminal signals the minimal bandwidth (bit rate) which is required to the mobile communication system and a bandwith within said range is allocated to the radio interface when available. As a result, the opportunities provided by the user terminal and the bandwith available in the radio cell are used as efficiently as possible.

  • Patent number: 7627316
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the registration of a communication terminal with a IMS services network via at least one communications network. According to the present invention, it is checked on the part of a network element of the IMS services network whether the communication terminal is currently IMS registered. If the communication terminal is not currently IMS registered, an IMS registration procedure is automatically initiated in the communication terminal by transmitting a Short Message SMS to the communication terminal, the Short Message containing an IMS registration request. On receipt of the SMS the communication terminal automatically registers with the IMS.

  • Patent number: 7603270
Abstract: A method for the transmission of audio signals between a transmitter and at least one receiver operates according to the prioritizing pixel transmission method. The audio signal is first broken down into a number of spectral fractions. The broken-down audio signal is stored in a two-dimensional array with a plurality of fields. The dimensions to be registered in the field are frequency and time; the value to be registered in the field is amplitude. Groups are then formed from the individual fields and a priority is assigned to the individual groups, in which the priority will be gauged as higher if the amplitudes of the group values are higher, and/or if the amplitude differences of the values of one group are higher, and/or if the groups are closer to actual time. Finally, the groups are transmitted to the receiver according to the order of their established priority.

  • Patent number: 7583843
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the transmission of additional information when using a method for compressing data by means of a prioritizing pixel transmission, said data consisting of individual pixel groups, each of which comprises a positional value within an image array and at least one pixel value. The minimum size of the image array is defined by the height (h) and the width (b) of an image, expressed in pixels. The invention is characterized by the fact that positional values which do not occur in the actual data but lie outside the range of the image array are used during the transmission of additional information.

  • Patent number: 7526298
Abstract: The invention concerns a procedure and a structure to handle short messages under phone number portability between multiple telecommunications networks, where the phone numbers do not permit an unambiguous linkage of the user to a specific telecommunication network and where several attempts at delivery of the short messages are normally required. In order to accelerate routing in subsequent attempts at delivery and to avoid unnecessary routing queries, the invention proposes that all or part of the parameters or data associated with the first attempt at delivery, particularly the target information, be preferably stored in the SMSC or the SMS-GMSC in order to be reused, at least in part, in subsequent attempts at delivery.

  • Patent number: 7493102
Abstract: A method for determining charges in real time for value-added services in a telecommunication network, having an intelligent network structure, in which a caller selects a value-added service by dialing an associated destination number. This destination number is intercepted in an intelligent network element of the telecommunication network and is converted into a special access number for the value-added service. A connection is established between the intelligent network element and the value-added service provider through the use of this destination number. The value-added service provider transmits the applicable rate for the use of the requested value-added service to the mobile telephone network operator in the form of a new destination number for the requested value-added service. The new destination number is evaluated in the intelligent network element and a connection is established between the caller and the value-added service with the new destination number at the stated rate.

  • Patent number: 7483527
Abstract: In a call-centre, external telephone calls form customers are distributed to terminals so that they can be answered by agents. The invention relates to a method for operating a call-centre, wherein an external call is initially connected to a free terminal. If an interruption in the conversation occurs, a message recorded by the agent is stored and the connection is allocated automatically. The call is transferred to a separate waiting line. The caller can initialise a new connection to a free terminal i.e. to the same terminal or to a different agent. During the new connection, the message belonging to the waiting connection is automatically played back, whereby the interrupted conversation with the client can be continued in a problem free manner. The inventive method increases the productivity of the call-centres without changing the high level of service.
