  • Patent number: 12052319
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for an improved method of network function interaction. In order for a network function consumer to interact with a network function producer, the network function consumer utilizes a default query-based discovery process, wherein a component such as a network resource function identifies candidate network function producers. A secondary static configuration is created for use if the primary query-based process is unavailable. Based on a determination that the primary query-based process is unavailable, the network function consumer identifies a network function producer from the static configuration and communicates one or more service requests to the network function producer. Once it is determined that primary query-based discovery is available, the network function consumer reverts to the query-based discovery process for subsequent network function interactions.

  • Patent number: 12051910
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing high speed interactions with electromagnetic power harvesting (AEPH) chips are provided. In one embodiment, an AEPH initialization node emits a first electromagnetic field to charge the AEPH chip and/or initiate a boot-up sequence, and an AEPH interrogation node that transmits a second electromagnetic field to trigger processing operations within the AEPH chip. The first electromagnetic field and second electromagnetic fields are emitted respectively within an AEPH initialization zone and an AEPH interrogation zone that are offset from each other such that the first electromagnetic field emission in the AEPH initialization zone does not produce backscatter that interferes with the AEPH interrogation node receiving interrogation reply signals from the AEPH interrogation zone. Curtailing backscatter facilitates the ability to convey items with AEPH chips at faster line speeds so that a greater number of items per minute can be processed.

  • Patent number: 12048055
Abstract: A wireless communication network wirelessly serves User Equipment (UE) over a wireless relay and a wireless access point. The wireless relay exchanges user data with the UE over a UE bearer and exchanges the user data with the wireless access point over a relay bearer. The wireless access point preempts the relay bearer responsive to excessive loading. The wireless relay detects a UE bearer having enhanced UE Quality-of-Service (QoS) and responsively transfers a relay request to the wireless access point. The wireless access point receives the relay request and responsively disables preemption for the wireless relay. The wireless relay exchanges user data with the UE over the other UE bearer having the enhanced UE QoS and exchanges the user data with the wireless access point over the relay bearer having the enhanced relay QoS.

  • Patent number: 12039491
Abstract: A wireless communication system tracks an item that wirelessly transfers a Fifth Generation Identifier (5GID) and a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN). Transceivers wirelessly detect the 5GID and the GTIN and transfer messages indicating the 5GID and the GTIN to a ledger gateway. The ledger gateway receives the messages and selects a distributed application in a distributed ledger node based on the 5GID and/or the GTIN. The ledger gateway proposes an item-tracking transaction with the 5GID and the GTIN to the selected distributed application in the distributed ledger node. The distributed ledger node and distributed application execute the proposed item-tracking transaction with the 5GID and the GTIN to generate an item-tracking result and store the item-tracking result in a blockchain format.

  • Patent number: 12041530
Abstract: A wireless communication network serves a User Equipment (UE) over a wireless network slice. In the wireless communication network, a source wireless access node wirelessly broadcasts information that indicates supporting wireless access nodes that serve the wireless network slice. The broadcast information may comprise a System Information Block (SIB) 1. The UE wirelessly receives the information from the source wireless access node. When the source wireless access node does not comprise one of the supporting wireless access nodes, the UE re-selects one of the supporting wireless access nodes, wirelessly attaches to the selected-supporting wireless access node, and wirelessly exchanges user data for the wireless network slice with the selected-supporting wireless access node. The selected-supporting wireless access node wirelessly exchanges the user data with the UE and exchanges the user data with the wireless network slice.

  • Patent number: 12034738
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer storage media directed to propagating and authenticating border gateway protocol route advertisements. A trusted authority device stores and distributes routing information for various autonomous systems. The trusted authority device also issues and maintains digital certificates that are each assigned to one of the autonomous systems. The digital certificate can be utilized by autonomous systems to verify the authenticity of routing information advertised by another autonomous system. Each autonomous system can employ a routing device that can generate a route advertisement based on routing information received from the trusted authority device. The route advertisement can include a digital signature, a digital certificate, and a time-to-live value, among other things, each of which can be utilized by routing devices of other autonomous systems to determine the authenticity and validity of received routing information.

  • Patent number: 12028769
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for signal offloading in an mmWave environment (e.g., in the event of high fading). The methods and systems include one or more mmWave nodes that are each configured to wirelessly communicate with a user device in a geographic service area and a Wi-Fi access point configured to wirelessly communicate with the user device. The methods and systems determine that fading or loading of an mmWave signal transmitted by one of the one or more mmWave nodes is above a threshold. In response to the fading or loading being above the threshold, the methods and systems redirect a control signal of the user device through the Wi-Fi access point to the one or more mmWave nodes, such that the user device maintains a dual connection with the Wi-Fi access point via the control signal and the mmWave node.

  • Patent number: 12028763
Abstract: Methods and systems for selecting a primary component carrier for use in new radio (NR) carrier aggregation are described. A load of a first Dynamic Shared Spectrum (DSS) component carrier is monitored. When the load of the first DSS component carrier reaches a threshold value, an identification of one or more NR user equipment that are assigned to use the first DSS component carrier as a primary component carrier for carrier aggregation is made. The one or more NR user equipment are handed over from the first component carrier to a second component carrier for use as a primary component carrier for the one or more NR user equipment. Methods and systems for selecting a secondary component carrier for use in NR carrier aggregation are also described. A load of a first DSS component carrier is monitored, wherein the carrier is assigned as the secondary component carrier for one or more NR user equipment. A determination is made that the load of the first DSS component carrier has reached a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 12028209
Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are provided for managing changes being made on a geographically diverse mobile telecommunications network. An intelligent application for network change management collects change requests to be implemented in a geographically disperse mobile telecommunications network. The intelligent application determines whether the changes to be implemented are for devices that high risk from a network impacting event, such as a major event or weather. The application initiates actions to suspend the changes from being implemented to the network until the devices are no longer at high risk from a network impacting event.

  • Patent number: 12028267
Abstract: Aspects provided herein provide methods, systems, and a non-transitory computer storage media storing computer-useable instructions for dynamic allocation of internet of things (IoT) device communications. The method begins with determining an amount of unallocated spectrum in a communications channel used by one or more devices attached to a node. Next, it is determined that the IoT device has requested an amount of spectrum from the node that is less than the amount of unallocated spectrum. At least a portion of the amount of unallocated spectrum is dynamically allocated to the IoT device.
