  • Patent number: 12107790
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamic beam sweeping a synchronization signal based on user device activity. An average synchronization signal transmission periodicity may be modified in response to determinations about the mobility of user devices, in response to determinations about the synchronization sensitivity of content being transmitted to user devices, or both. The modified beam sweeping protocol may responsively increase or decrease the average periodicity of a series of synchronization signals that are transmitted to a distinct portion of a sector using one or more distinct beamforms, increasing the synchronization efficiency of limited synchronization signals being transmitted to the cell.

  • Patent number: 12101536
Abstract: A method of selective pre-caching content fragments is disclosed. The method comprises receiving and analyzing, by an analytics engine, environment data pertaining to a wireless communication device and, based on the analyzing and based on a media presentation response, determining, by a pre-cache manager, an amount of fragments to provide to the wireless communication device for pre-caching to enable playback of the content at a certain quality. The method also comprises selecting, by the pre-cache manager, a subset of fragments of the content based on the determined amount of fragments and sending, by the computer system, the subset of fragments to the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device pre-caches the subset of fragments and presents the content using the cached subset of fragments and remaining fragments received from a content delivery network. The method further comprises receiving, by the analytics engine, playback data from the content delivery network.

  • Patent number: 12096500
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamically optimizing EN-DC networks and include a first node, a second node, and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to receive data indicating that a first set of bands is present within a first sector and determine a high priority band from the first set of bands within the first sector. The system also identifies a first set of devices within a sector and defines a time frame for receiving data indicating a number of instances in which each device connected to the high priority band. A first status report comprising data indicating the number of instances each device connected to the high priority band is received and a performance rating is determined for the high priority band. The time frame for receiving data may be adjusted based on the performance rating and data from the first status report.

  • Patent number: 12096402
Abstract: An Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) Mobile Terminal (MT) identifies its geographic location and determines a New Radio Licensed (NR-L) frequency band and a New Radio Unlicensed (NR-U) frequency band based on the location. The IAB MT determines received signal strengths for the frequency bands. The IAB MT compares the received signal strengths to and select the NR-U frequency band. The IAB MT wirelessly exchanges network signaling over the NR-U frequency band and establishes an IAB link over the NR-U frequency band. A Radio Unit (RU) wirelessly exchanges user data with wireless User Equipment (UEs) and exchanges the user data with a Distributed Unit (DU). The DU exchanges the user data with the IAB MT. The IAB MT wirelessly exchanges the user data over the IAB link using the NR-U frequency band.

  • Patent number: 12075303
Abstract: A wireless communication network delivers a wireless data service from a source access node and a target access node. The network determines a source QoS for the wireless data service from the source access node and a target QoS for the wireless data service from the target access node. The network determines a QoS offset based on a QoS difference between the source QoS and the target QoS. To handover a User Equipment (UE), the network receives source signal strength for the source access node and target signal strength for the target access node from the UE. In response, the network selects the target access node for the handover based on the QoS offset and a signal strength difference between the source signal strength and the target signal strength. The network signals the UE and the target access node to handover the UE to the target access node.

  • Patent number: 12075526
Abstract: A wireless User Equipment (UE) delivers a priority communication service. In the UE, circuitry correlates a network Identifier (ID) for a wireless communication network with an instruction for the priority communication service. The circuitry identifies a user request for the priority communication service when the wireless UE is wirelessly attached to the wireless communication network. In response, the circuitry responsively identifies the instruction based on the correlation with the network ID. The circuitry exchanges network signaling with a radio based on the instruction and exchanges user data with the radio responsive to the exchange of the network signaling. The radio exchanges the network signaling and the user data with the UE circuitry and wirelessly exchanges the network signaling and the user data with the wireless communication network. The instruction may direct the circuitry to use an encoded public Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) to identify the UE to the wireless communication network.
