  • Patent number: 12028221
Abstract: In various examples, upon receiving data comprising a plurality of key performance indicators (KPIs), an anomaly may be detected in a first KPI. An engine may apply rules associating two or more KPIs together to confirm, reject, or narrow the anomaly in the first KPI. Through this technology, the mean time for detecting an anomaly in a network may be reduced thereby preventing the potential for more serious anomalies in the network.

  • Patent number: 12028423
Abstract: A wireless User Equipment (UE) hosts a microservice. In the wireless UE, a user interface presents user options to a user and receives user instructions from the user. Communication circuitry wirelessly transfers the user instructions to a microservice control system, and in response, wirelessly receives microservice instructions and a microservice application from the microservice control system. User circuitry in the wireless UE executes the microservice application in an operating system container per the microservice instructions and responsively generates microservice data for a microservice data system. The communication circuitry wirelessly transfers the microservice data to the microservice data system. This hosted microservices platform supports a variety of applications beyond smartphone owner usage. To that end, the smartphone owner may get financially compensated for those extra use cases according to a variety of factors.

  • Patent number: 12015687
Abstract: A method of electronic communication via a virtual network function (NFV) implementation of a core network. The method comprises receiving a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) content request from a user equipment (UE), wherein the HTTP content request comprises an identification of a content source and determining by an orchestrator service that insufficient NFV processing capacity is available to perform the HTTP content request, where the orchestrator service is an application that executes on a first physical host. The method further comprises dynamically increasing the NFV processing capacity by the orchestrator service, performing the HTTP content request using the increased NFV processing capacity, and returning a HTTP content response to the UE, wherein the HTTP content response does not comprise identification of the content source.

  • Patent number: 12016047
Abstract: The technology described herein improves communication quality and device efficiency by selecting an access technology for use in a communication session between a user equipment (UE) and a communication network. The access technologies may be selected by a network node (e.g., eNodeB) based on a geographic location of the UE within a service area. In some geographic areas, the 5G leg may perform below a threshold quality measure, while the LTE leg performs well. In these situations, maintaining a communication session with only the LTE leg may yield a better overall performance (e.g., data throughput) than using the combination of a 5G leg and an LTE leg. The first step of the selection process is identifying geographic areas with below threshold 5G performance. Once the geographic subunits are designated as high or low performing, the designations are used to determine whether LTE and 5G should be used in combination.

  • Patent number: 12010604
Abstract: A wireless communication network serves User Equipment (UE) responsive to an Artificial Intelligence (AI) network. The UE determines Quality-of-Service (QoS) levels for a wireless data service at geographic locations. The UE transfers the QoS levels for the wireless data service at the geographic locations to a network core. The network core transfers the QoS levels for the wireless data service at the geographic locations for the UE to the AI network. The network core receives a future QoS level, future geographic location, and future time for the wireless data service for the UE from the AI network. The network core signals a network control-plane to deliver the wireless data service to the UE at the future geographic location and the future time using the future QoS level. The UE receives the wireless data service at the future geographic location and the future time using the future QoS level.

  • Patent number: 12010633
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for using antenna sector power ratio (SPR) to determine dynamic spectrum sharing. Frequency bands associated with a cell site can support at least one wireless communication protocol. In some embodiments, a plurality of frequency bands for a plurality of cell sites are identified. SPR values for each frequency band may be determined, and a frequency band having the lowest SPR value may be identified. For example, a frequency band having a lower SPR value that is also below a particular threshold may be assigned a wireless communication protocol that was previously assigned to another frequency band having a higher SPR value. Based on assigning the frequency band another wireless communication protocol, a user device may be provided resources via that wireless communication protocol.

  • Patent number: 12010632
Abstract: Methods, media, and systems are provided for optimizing coverage and power usage in a network deploying an unlicensed band. A first transmission power associated with a primary carrier and a second transmission power associated with a secondary carrier are determined. Location data and channel state information from a user device utilizing the primary carrier and the secondary carrier are received. An interference level may be determined using the channel state information. Based on the location data and the interference level, the second transmission power associated with the secondary carrier is reduced and the first transmission power of the primary carrier is increased. In some aspects, a beamforming technique is applied for downlink transmissions via a 5G New Radio unlicensed band. In some aspects, upon detection of an increase of 3 dBi antenna gain, the second transmission power is reduced by 1 dBm.

  • Patent number: 12010751
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described herein to which dynamically provide indications within a database that a monitored communication protocol is congested or otherwise unavailable. Key performance indicators are monitored on a first wireless communication protocol to determine if it is congested. Once the congestion is determined, the database is updated, and a terminating call application server may then receive an indication that the first wireless communication protocol is congested and may suggest to another communication protocol.
