  • Patent number: 11954092
Abstract: An Internet of Things (IoT) server can transmit a series of data blocks of a software update to an IoT device by sending a series of data block messages to the IoT device over a telecommunication network. The IoT device can return data block receipt messages to confirm receipt of the data block messages. The IoT device can also attempt to validate received data block messages, and can return data block validation messages for the data block messages that have been validated. When the IoT server receives data block validation messages for all of the data blocks of the software update, the IoT server can determine that the IoT device has received a usable version of the software update.

  • Patent number: 11956166
Abstract: A spectrum refarm system defines, for each of multiple geographic regions, a spectrum set that represents telecommunications spectrum blocks in use in a corresponding geographic region and a first distribution of technical allocations of each spectrum set. The first distribution of technical allocations for an identified spectrum set specifies telecommunications technologies that are deployed on the spectrum blocks in the identified spectrum set and a number of the spectrum blocks on which each technology is deployed. The spectrum refarm system can maintain the spectrum sets in a data store and modify information in the data store to cause a distribution of technical allocations for a first spectrum set to change from a respective first distribution to a second distribution. Information in the data store is also modified to cause a distribution of technical allocations for a second spectrum set to change from a respective first distribution to a third distribution.

  • Patent number: 11956371
Abstract: The present disclosure describes techniques that improve upon the use of authentication tokens as a means of verifying a user identify. A server is described that receives a service request to access a secure service provided by another service provider. The server may determine whether an additional secure service is required from a third-party server, and if so, generate a recursive authentication token for delivery to the third-party server. The recursive authentication token is intended to authenticate an identity of the server to the third-party server.

  • Publication number: 20240114089
Abstract: Aspects of the invention add information in the call initiation stage so that a client or device type and access type data may be embedded in the call request. Therefore, during the call-progress tone (Call Progress Tone), a processing server may then provide a logic to handle the different access type and/or client type to further enhance user experience.

  • Patent number: 11950111
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) network cell that uses modular communication modems may be configured to support various communication standards and communication frequency bands. An authentication request from a modular communication modem of a plurality of modular communication modems in an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) network cell may be received at a core network of a wireless carrier network following an installation of the modular communication modem into the UAV network cell, in response to authenticating that the modular communication modem is authorized to communicate with the core network, the modular communication modem is registered at the core network to handle communication between the UAV network cell and the core network. However, in response to determining that the modular communication modem is not authorized to communicate with the core network, the modular communication modem is disallowed from handling communication between the UAV network cell and the core network.

  • Patent number: 11947701
Abstract: Described herein are techniques for preventing software applications from gaining access to unauthorized biometric data in accordance with user preferences. In some embodiments, a software application requests access to sensor data collected by a sensor installed on a user device via a gateway application installed on the user device. Upon receipt of the request, the gateway application determines what types of biometric data the software application is authorized to obtain within the sensor data. The gateway application then identifies biometric data that is present within the sensor data. The sensor data is then altered such that biometric data that the software application is not authorized to obtain is obfuscated. Once the sensor data has been altered, the software application is provided access to that altered sensor data.

  • Patent number: 11936761
Abstract: A component of a cellular communication system is configured to prioritize data packets based on packet tags that have been associated with the data packets. The packet tags may comprise an application identifier and a customer identifier, as examples. A Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) layer of a radio protocol stack receives a data packet and associated packet tags and assigns the data packet to a preferred transmission queue or a non-preferred transmission queue, based on the packet tags associated with the data packet. In order to manage queue overflows, data packets of the non-preferred transmission queue may be discarded when they have been queued for more than a predetermined length of time. Data packets of the preferred transmission queue, however, are retained regardless of how long they have been queued.

  • Patent number: 11937288
Abstract: A base station of a telecommunication network can determine whether a user equipment (UE) should use a two-layer uplink configuration or an uplink carrier aggregation (CA) configuration for uplink transmissions to the base station, based on radio condition metrics reported by the UE to the base station. If radio condition metrics reported by the UE satisfy two-layer uplink criteria, the base station can instruct the UE to switch to using the two-layer uplink configuration. If radio condition metrics reported by the UE do not satisfy the two-layer uplink criteria, the base station can instruct the UE to switch to using the uplink CA configuration.

  • Patent number: 11931127
Abstract: The disclosed system enables monitoring of user's biological indicators for signs of impairment or disease. The system obtains a permission from a user to access a biological indicator. The system obtains a history of the biological indicator associated with the user, where the biological indicator includes movement associated with the user, a voice associated with the user, or an appearance associated with the user. The system obtains a symptom indicating an undesirable state of the user, where the symptom includes a musculoskeletal affliction. The system monitors the biological indicator of user. The system detects an anomaly in the biological indicator by comparing the biological indicator with the history of the biological indicator. The system determines whether the anomaly indicates the undesirable state of the user. Upon determining that the anomaly indicates the undesirable state of the user, the system provides a notification.
