  • Patent number: 11929907
Abstract: A wireless device can initiate a process to establish a communication link between the wireless device and an endpoint device. The wireless device can discover networks that are available for building the communication link and generate a list of multiple routing paths for the communication link that include different combinations of segments of the networks. The wireless device selects a particular routing path for the communication link and communicates a request to service providers of segments that would support the communication link. The service providers can grant the request such that the wireless device connects to the endpoint device over the communication link.

  • Patent number: 11929963
Abstract: A chatbot executes on a user device to gather performance data associated with an application on the user device. During a diagnostics chat with a user, the chatbot receives a plurality of answers from a user of the user device to a plurality of prompts sequentially output by the chatbot to the user regarding a performance issue of an application on the user device. The chatbot also retrieves, from the user device, contextual data of the application during the performance issue. The chatbot packages the answers received from the user and the retrieved contextual data to enable diagnosis of the performance issue of the application.

  • Patent number: 11930546
Abstract: Techniques are discussed herein for providing wireless communication services using mobile nodes in a cellular network, such as a 5G network. The mobile nodes may operate as Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) nodes which are utilized to provide wireless backhaul links and access links in a 5G network. One or more mobile nodes may be wirelessly coupled to a base station node (which may also be referred to herein as a “wired node”), such as a gNodeB, that includes a wired connection to the core network. The wireless backhaul extends coverage to user equipment (UE) that are not directly connected to a gNodeB base station.

  • Patent number: 11928635
Abstract: A processor-implemented method includes receiving, from a mobile device, transmission information corresponding to an audio data transmission associated with an audio data packet loss of one or more audio data packets. The processor determines, based at least in part on the transmission information, a geographic region associated with a wireless communication network transceiver. The processor further determines an average audio data packet loss rate associated with the geographic region and a correlation between the audio data packet loss and at least one key performance indicator (KPI). The KPI is indicative of the audio data transmission. Based at least in part on (i) the average audio data packet loss rate and (ii) the correlation between the audio data packet loss and the at least one KPI, the processor generates a handover instruction comprising at least one threshold value for transitioning control from a first cell channel to a second cell channel.

  • Patent number: 11924377
Abstract: Disclosed here is a method to determine a user intent when a user device initiates an interactive voice response (IVR) call with a wireless telecommunication network. A processor can detect the IVR call initiated with the network and determine whether the user device is a member of the network. Upon determining that the user device is a member of the network, the processor can obtain user history including interaction history between the user and the network. Based on the user history, the processor can predict the user intent when the user initiates the IVR call. The processor can detect whether user device is a 5G capable device. Upon the determining that the device is 5G capable and based on the predicted user intent, the processor can suggest to the user an application configured to execute on the user device and configured to address the predicted user intent.

  • Patent number: 11924711
Abstract: A listening device for tracking locations of a tracking device in a physical space includes one or more wireless transceivers, one or more sensors, and one or more processors. The processors generate positional indicators associated with the listening device based on signals generated by the one or more sensors, based on communications with an external device, or both. The listening device communicates with the tracking device to receive a tracking signal, based on which the processors identify a position of the tracking device relative to the listening device. The tracking device is located within the physical space based on the identified position of the tracking device relative to the listening device and the positional indicators associated with the listening device.

  • Patent number: 11924713
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing timely location estimates when a user equipment initiates a call to an emergency number are disclosed. The system enables a user equipment to send the earliest available location that the user equipment can come up with, after detecting an emergency message (e.g., detecting a 911 digit string). This can be done by sending the current location of the user equipment via HTTPS protocol to a telecommunications service provider node (e.g., an end point in GMLC). In this manner, the system avoids a major overhaul of the existing 3GPP E911 location standard while allowing timely compliance of the NG911 mandate.

  • Patent number: 11922026
Abstract: The disclosed system prevents data loss by creating duplicates of data in parallel. The system creates in parallel a first multiplicity of copies of the data to store in a sub-queue associated with a queue. The system creates a second multiplicity of copies of the data, and stores in parallel the second multiplicity of copies of the data in multiple independent memory locations. The system obtains a copy of the data among the first multiplicity of copies of the data, and creates a third multiplicity of copies of the data based on the copy of the data. The system distributes in parallel the third multiplicity of copies of the data to multiple independent data storage devices.

  • Patent number: 11924261
Abstract: A web server provides media content for playback on client devices that is associated with a set of enhanced features. When enabled, each enhanced feature provides functionality associated with and supplemental to the media content. The web server performs a handshake with each of a plurality of client devices to authenticate a communication channel. The web server enables one or more of the enhanced features while delivering media content for playback on a first device if information exchanged in the handshake with the first device satisfies a first criterion. The web server delivers the media content for playback on a second device, without enabling any of the enhanced features, if information exchanged in the handshake with the second device does not satisfy the first criterion.

  • Patent number: 11924915
Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques, devices, and systems for a mobile device to keep track of public land mobile networks (PLMNs) codes from a list(s) of equivalent PLMNs that the mobile device received at a time of performing a past registration procedure(s). For example, memory of the mobile device may store a PLMN code(s) from a list of equivalent PLMNs that the mobile device received from a mobility management entity (MME) or an access and mobility function (AMF) node. During a subsequent registration, the mobile device may send a message to another MME or another AMF node, and may receive a message, such as an ATTACH ACCEPT message or a REGISTRATION ACCEPT message, from the other MME or the other AMF node. In response to receiving the message, the mobile device can maintain the stored PLMN code(s) in the memory.

  • Patent number: 11917505
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for provisioning a feature associated with a brand of a wireless communication network may include loading a trigger condition in a catalog for triggering the feature, wherein an in-memory cache of the catalog is accessible by a network provisioning engine of the wireless communication network. At the network provisioning engine, the method may further include receiving, from a billing system computer, a transaction request for a subscriber having a rate plan associated with the brand, using a brand indication in the transaction request to locate the in-memory cache of the catalog, and determining whether the transaction request meets the trigger condition. If the transaction request meets the trigger condition, the method may further include determining a network node for provisioning the feature, and sending instructions to the network node to provision the feature in the subscriber's rate plan.

  • Patent number: 11917471
Abstract: A telecommunication network associated with a wireless telecommunication provider can be configured to dynamically switch the primary cell (PCell) used by user equipment (UE) for carrier aggregation (CA) in 5G cellular networks. Instead of remaining anchored to an initially selected PCell, a different PCell may be dynamically selected based on different network conditions. The network conditions may include network congestion, network capacity, uplink speed, location of the UE, an activity of the UE (e.g., is the UE uploading or planning to upload data), and the like. As an example, the PCell may be selected from an n41 (2.5 GHz) cell and an n71 (600 MHz) cell. When the UE is close to the n41 cell, the n41 cell may be selected. When the UE is moving away from the cell center and toward the cell edge, the PCell may be switched from the n41 cell to the n71 cell.
