Abstract: A pair of goggles for swimming comprises a pair of frames encircling respective lenses and a head band. Each of the frames is formed on its rear end with upper and lower arms which are formed, in turn, on rear ends thereof with projections opposed to each other. Each of coupling members to couple the head band to the respective frames comprises a locking section adapted to be received between the upper and lower arms from the front of the goggles and, a belt-like section extending rearward from the rear end of the locking section and having a width or thickness smaller than a distance R between the projections and a head band insertion slot formed in the rear end of the belt-like section.

Abstract: A diving jacket 1 includes a back-plate 22, shoulder belts 6 and a waist belt 7. The waist belt 7 includes a pair of belt members 32, 33 each having a circumferentially rear end region 46 is fixed to an associated connector plate 31 made of a material harder than the belt 7 and disposed between the rear end region 46 and the back-plate 22. A lower end region 34 of the shoulder bent 6 also is fixed to the associated connector plate 31.

Abstract: A diving jacket 1 having a strap 26 extending from one of paired shoulder regions 7 to the other of the shoulder regions 7 via an upper end of the jacket 1. The strap 26 has its opposite ends fixed to the shoulder regions 7 and the length of the strap 26 is adjustable in at least one of the shoulder regions 7.

Abstract: A buoyancy regulator for diving includes a cylinder band for fixation of an air cylinder. The cylinder band comprises a belt-like part and a buckle which is formed with a plurality of band insertion slits arranged in a longitudinal direction of the cylinder band. Each pair of side walls respectively lying on both sides of each of the insertion slits is marked with the same letters indicating a sequence in which the belt-like part should be inserted through the buckle.

Abstract: Swim fins includes an instep of a foot pocket which is provided with a plurality of ribs extending forward from the vicinity of an opening for foot insertion and grooves each defined between each pair of the adjacent ribs and extending forward. The instep is thinner along the grooves than along the ribs.

Abstract: A buckle provided in the form of a frame comprising first and second side edges opposed to each other in a longitudinal direction of strap recieved by the buckle, first and second ends opposed to each other in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, and a plurality of partitions arranged between the first and second ends which connect the first and second side edges to each other. The first and second side edges and the first and second ends cooperating with the partitions to define a plurality of strap guiding holes arranged in the longitudinal direction. One of the first and second side edges partially defining a first outermost one of the strap guiding holes lying adjacent the first end. The other of the first and second side edges partially defining a second outermost one of the strap guiding holes lying adjacent the second end.

Abstract: A diving jacket includes a back-plate 22 and a pair of waist belt members respectively having circumferentially rear end regions fixed to the back-plate 22 by a means of associated connector plates 31. Rear end regions 37 of the respective connector plates 31 are formed with a plurality of dovetail tenons 51 or a plurality of dovetail grooves 52 arranged in vertical direction of the connector plates 31 so as to extend in parallel one to another and the back-plate 22 is formed with much more dovetail grooves 52 or dovetail tenons 51 than those formed in the connector plates 31 so as to be operatively associated with the dovetail tenons 51 or dovetail grooves 52 of the connector plates 31, respectively.

Abstract: A buoyancy compensator jacket includes a cushion pad lying inside a backplate of the jacket and the cushion pad is water-impervious on its surface and formed in a plurality of regions with dome-shaped swellings being convex toward the back of a wearer. The jacket including such cushion pad can prevent water permeation into the pad from occurring and a weight of the pad from increasing due to the water permeation during diving.

Abstract: A combination of strap and buckle for diving fins has a heel strap 3 and a buckle 6. The heel strap 3 has first locking teeth 21 formed thereon and a top portion 31 of the buckle 6 has its inner surface facing the heel strap 3 in the vicinity of its rear end formed in its transversely middle zone 39 with a depression hollowed out by a dimension deeper than a height of the first locking teeth 21.

Abstract: A face mask for diving includes a pair of front lenses and a nose cover formed by a portion of a skirt between these lenses. Proximal ends of the nose cover and a portion of the skirt being contiguous to these proximal ends are curved along the lens frame with the lenses held therein closely in contact with an inner peripheral surface and an inner surface of the lens frame.

Abstract: Swimming goggles includes a fastener part provided at a rear end of each lens frame of the swimming goggles for holding an end of a head strap firmly in position. The fastener part includes a guide member around which the head strap can be passed and a protrusion. The head strap has at its end a plurality of through-holes arranged in a lengthwise direction of the head strap for receiving the protrusion.

Abstract: Swimming goggles include an elastic head strap. Free ends of the strap are guided through first guiding holes and then through second guiding holes. A stopper member is inserted into a gap defined between a peripheral wall of the second guiding hole and the strap. The swimming goggles thus constructed allow a length of the strap once adjusted to be maintained during repeated use of the swimming goggles.

Abstract: A diving snorkel provided in the proximity of at least one of an upper opening and a mouthpiece with at least one partition extending from an inner wall of a snorkel conduit and also extending longitudinally of the conduit so as to compartmentalize the conduit in its circumferential direction, and thereby enable undesirable inflow of water to be obstructed as effectively as possible and enable efficient purging of water which enters into the snorkel.

Abstract: A swimming fin includes a blade and a foot pocket, the blade including a relatively long first blade and a short second blade. The second blade underlies a bottom surface of the first blade and has transversely opposite side edge regions longitudinally extending inside transversely opposite side edges of the first blade and an intermediate region extending between the side edge regions and having its front end curved toward the foot pocket. The swimming fin thus formed can strengthen a thrust obtained by down-kicking movement of the swimming fin to thereby facilitate the up-kicking movement of the swimming fin.

Abstract: Swimming goggles that include a pair of lens assemblies each having an inner end portion formed with a recess and an end wall extending forward. A bridge is formed at each end with an outer leg, an inner leg and an intermediate leg. The outer leg is adapted to be firmly engaged with the recess of the lens assembly and cooperate with the inner leg to retain the end wall therebetween. The intermediate leg is adapted to be firmly engaged with a groove formed in the end wall. The swimming goggles thus constructed allow the bridge to be firmly engaged with the lens assemblies.

Abstract: Swimming goggles include a pair of lenses, a pair of lens frame members each supporting one of the lenses, a bridge belt by which respective inner edges of the lens frame members are connected to each other, and a head band extending between respective outer edges of the lens frame members. The lens frame members are provided adjacent their inner edges with coupling means adapted for releasably receiving stoppers formed on the bridge belt so that a distance between the inner edges can be adjusted. The bridge belt is formed on its inner surface with pairs of the stoppers arranged symmetrically with a center line longitudinally dividing the bridge belt in two. The bridge belt is made of a plastically deformable material and a portion of the bridge belt defined between a pair of the symmetrically arranged stoppers is formed on its inner surface with grooves extending transversely of the bridge belt.

Abstract: A snorkel which includes a main conduit having an upper opening as well as a lower opening and a branch conduit branched from the main conduit. The branch conduit is formed at its top with a mouthpiece and a proximal end of the branch pipe is introduced into the main conduit, then curved toward the upper opening, and thereby eliminates swimmer physical fatigue due to purge diving use of the snorkel.

Abstract: A peripheral wall of a lens member in swimming goggles is gradually thickened rearward from a front lens so that the peripheral wall has a height extending beyond a top of a flange of the lens member and a first groove extending along the flange is formed. A second groove of a cushion pad is engaged with an entire periphery of the flange so that the pad is exposed at an outer end (A) of the lens member.
