The docking station includes a power receiving interface coupled to the body and configured to receive electrical power from a power supply. The docking station includes a universal data interface configured to communicatively couple the docking station with the portable electronic device. The docking station includes a power providing interface in electrical communication with the power receiving interface and configured to deliver electrical power to the portable electronic device.

Abstract: A compact lap desk for space-saving storage and convenient portability. The compact lap desk includes a frame structure comprising a folding leg that is mechanically attached to a main tray, wherein the folding leg is configured such that it can be extended away from the main tray to form an inclined working platform adapted for receiving a laptop computer or other suitable articles. The compact lap desk includes an expandable fabric body that is substantially disposed over and attached to the frame structure, wherein the expandable fabric body is equipped with a retention mechanism to retain and conceal an expanding section of fabric material, when closed. When the retention mechanism is opened, the expanding section of fabric material is released and accommodates the mechanical extension of the folding leg away from the main tray to form an inclined working platform for the compact lap desk.

Abstract: An accessory case for a portable electronic device (PED) includes an interchangeable camera lens system comprising one or more camera lenses. The accessory case may include an integrated attachment mechanism allowing the one or more lenses to be secured to the case in a certain position relative to the image capturing system. In certain embodiments, the one or more camera lenses may alter and/or improve the performance of an image capturing system of the PED. The one or more camera lenses may include a telephoto lens, a macroscopic lens, a fish-eye lens, a wide angle lens, and/or any other type of optical system. In some embodiments, the one or more camera lenses may be removably attached to the accessory case. In further embodiments, the one or more camera lenses may be included in a selectively positionable mechanism integrated into the accessory case.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, selectively attachable under-bezel tabs include an adhering portion and a securing portion. An adhesive may be used to secure the adhering portion adjacent the edge of a display cover. The securing portion may be secured between a display surface and a display bezel. Accordingly, one or more under-bezel tabs may be adhered to a display cover in order to secure the display cover in front of a display. The display cover may be configured to protect or enhance the display. For example, a display cover may be configured to reduce glare or provide a privacy screen. The selectively attachable under-bezel tabs may be adhered to any of a wide variety of universal display covers, thereby adapting the universal display cover for use with displays configured with slotted bezels adapted to receive specialized display covers.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, a universal case for a portable electronic device (PED) includes a rear panel, a front panel, and a securing mechanism configured to secure a PED to the rear panel. According to various embodiments, a securing mechanism may comprise an adjustable flexible band configured to secure each corner of a PED to the rear panel. The adjustable flexible band may be routed through a support structure having one or more routing slots. Alternatively, a securing mechanism may comprise adjustable corner mounts configured to selectively secure each corner of a PED to the rear panel. In each embodiment, a single universal case may be used to secure PEDs having various lengths, widths, and thicknesses. A plurality of support grooves formed in a front panel may be configured to catch a bottom edge of a PED and support it at various angles of inclination.

Abstract: Cases for electronic devices, such as an iPad, are disclosed. The cases include an integrated cleaning component configured to wipe one or more surfaces of an electronic device. In some embodiments, the integrated cleaning component is configured to automatically wipe the surface(s) of the electronic device as it is inserted into or removed from the case. The integrated cleaning component of some embodiments include strips of material configured to engage the surface of the electronic device as it is inserted and/or removed from the case and to wipe or scrub away foreign material. The cleaning component can include various different materials to target primary removal of a particular foreign material (e.g., fingerprints, dirt, dust, oils, etc.). Other embodiments provide integrated storage of the integrated cleaning component, which can easily be removed by a user to wipe the surface(s) of the electronic device.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, a stand-in case for a portable electronic device (PED) includes a top panel configured with an integrated reinforcement, a bottom panel, and a side panel section. The top panel of the stand-in case may be configurable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the stand-in case may be configured to enclose a PED, and in the second position the stand-in case may secure the PED at an angle with respect to the bottom panel. The bottom panel may include at least one catch, or other securing feature, configured to secure the bottom corners or an edge of the PED at an angle relative to the bottom panel. Additionally, the stand-in case may be integrated into a second case, such as a larger bag, a laptop case, or luggage.

Abstract: Case accessories including protection covers for portable electronic devices having image capturing systems are disclosed. In some embodiments, the case may include a holder configured to secure the portable electronic device and a selectively positionable protection cover configured to protect the integrated image capturing system. In certain embodiments, the selectively positionable protection cover may be positioned using a hinged mechanism, a sliding mechanism, or a rotational mechanism.

Abstract: Swiveling bases for portable computing devices are disclosed. A swiveling base can include a base member and a rotatable member. The base member can be placed on a flat surface and rotatably supports the rotatable member. The rotatable member releasably secures the portable computing device and can rotate relative to the base member to reorient a display of the portable computing device. The swiveling bases may further include a control component disposed on the base member. The control component is disposed on the base member and facilitates user interaction with a computing application being executed on the portable computing device. The control component may be, for example, a button, a joystick, a D-pad, a tactile sensor pad, a touch-sensitive D-pad, a spherical trackball, a slider, or a sliding disk.

Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of systems and methods for retrieving combination lock codes in a secure environment. In some embodiments, each of a plurality of combination locks are linked with a serial code. A user may then enter user identity information into a retrieval system. After the system has validated the user identity information, the user may enter a serial code into the system, the serial code associated with a combination lock for which the user would like to retrieve a corresponding combination code. Upon receipt of the serial code from the user, the system may securely transmit a combination code associated with the desired combination lock to the user. In one embodiment, the secure transmission of the combination code is done by sending an electronic mail message to an electronic mail account of the user.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, a carrying case may be configured with an internal compartment adapted to receive a laptop computer, netbook, tablet computer, touch screen, multimedia projector, mobile telephone, and/or other portable electronic device. The dimensions of a compartment may be adapted for a specific device by moving adjustable cushions from a side spacing orientation to a base spacing orientation. According to one embodiment, a compartment may include adjustable cushions configured to be placed within the compartment in a side spacing orientation or outside the compartment in an external orientation. Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments on an electronic hub configured to connect electronic devices. In certain embodiments, an electronic hub has a first configuration in which various inputs and outputs are covered and are not available for connecting to other devices. In a second configuration the various inputs and outputs are exposed and are available to connect to electronic devices. In certain embodiments, a cable may wrap around a hub body in the first configuration, thus covering the ports when not in use. In other embodiments, the ports may be disposed within a moveable member. In a first configuration, one or more ports in the moveable member may be covered, while in the second configuration, the moveable member may be moved to expose the one or more ports. Certain embodiments include a reset button that is operable to reset an electronic device connected to the hub.
