    Abstract: A compact lap desk for space-saving storage and convenient portability. The compact lap desk includes a frame structure comprising a folding leg that is mechanically attached to a main tray, wherein the folding leg is configured such that it can be extended away from the main tray to form an inclined working platform adapted for receiving a laptop computer or other suitable articles. The compact lap desk includes an expandable fabric body that is substantially disposed over and attached to the frame structure, wherein the expandable fabric body is equipped with a retention mechanism to retain and conceal an expanding section of fabric material, when closed. When the retention mechanism is opened, the expanding section of fabric material is released and accommodates the mechanical extension of the folding leg away from the main tray to form an inclined working platform for the compact lap desk.

    Abstract: According to various embodiments, selectively attachable under-bezel tabs include an adhering portion and a securing portion. An adhesive may be used to secure the adhering portion adjacent the edge of a display cover. The securing portion may be secured between a display surface and a display bezel. Accordingly, one or more under-bezel tabs may be adhered to a display cover in order to secure the display cover in front of a display. The display cover may be configured to protect or enhance the display. For example, a display cover may be configured to reduce glare or provide a privacy screen. The selectively attachable under-bezel tabs may be adhered to any of a wide variety of universal display covers, thereby adapting the universal display cover for use with displays configured with slotted bezels adapted to receive specialized display covers.

    Abstract: According to various embodiments, a universal case for a portable electronic device (PED) includes a rear panel, a front panel, and a securing mechanism configured to secure a PED to the rear panel. According to various embodiments, a securing mechanism may comprise an adjustable flexible band configured to secure each corner of a PED to the rear panel. The adjustable flexible band may be routed through a support structure having one or more routing slots. Alternatively, a securing mechanism may comprise adjustable corner mounts configured to selectively secure each corner of a PED to the rear panel. In each embodiment, a single universal case may be used to secure PEDs having various lengths, widths, and thicknesses. A plurality of support grooves formed in a front panel may be configured to catch a bottom edge of a PED and support it at various angles of inclination.

The top panel of the stand-in case may be configurable between a first position and a second position. The bottom panel may include at least one catch, or other securing feature, configured to secure the bottom corners or an edge of the PED at an angle relative to the bottom panel.     Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of systems and methods for retrieving combination lock codes in a secure environment. In some embodiments, each of a plurality of combination locks are linked with a serial code. A user may then enter user identity information into a retrieval system. After the system has validated the user identity information, the user may enter a serial code into the system, the serial code associated with a combination lock for which the user would like to retrieve a corresponding combination code. Upon receipt of the serial code from the user, the system may securely transmit a combination code associated with the desired combination lock to the user. In one embodiment, the secure transmission of the combination code is done by sending an electronic mail message to an electronic mail account of the user.

In certain embodiments, an electronic hub has a first configuration in which various inputs and outputs are covered and are not available for connecting to other devices. In certain embodiments, a cable may wrap around a hub body in the first configuration, thus covering the ports when not in use.
