Abstract: A concentrated constant type delay device can be assembled in simple steps and has simple and stable structure. The delay device comprises a composite capacitor which comprises a common electrode placed on one surface of a dielectric and a plurality of separated electrodes placed on the other surface of the dielectric and the separated electrodes being respectively connected to each joint of coils connected between an input terminal and an output terminal.
Abstract: A novel ceramic composition exhibiting a solid solution structure of Pb(Fe.sub.1/2 Nb.sub.1/2)O.sub.3 -Pb(Mg.sub.1/3 Nb.sub.2/3)O.sub.3 -Pb(Mg.sub.1/2 W.sub.1/2)O.sub.3, can be sintered at a low sintering temperature; have a high insulation resistance; have a relatively high dielectric constant in the high dielectric type ceramic dielectrics, and; have a low dielectric loss.A particular amount of the additives, i.e., Pb-(Mn.sub.2/3 W.sub.1/3)O.sub.3, Pb(Mb.sub.1/2 W.sub.1/2)O.sub.3 Pb(Mn.sub.1/2 Nb.sub.2/3)O.sub.3, MnO, Pb(Mn.sub.1/3 Ta.sub.2/3)O.sub.3, Li.sub.2 O, Cr.sub.2 O.sub.3 and CeO.sub.2, is added into the composition mentioned above.
Abstract: A magnetic coating material for magnetic recording media is produced by dispersing a magnetic coating material containing from 0.1 to 2.0% of an abrasive and from 0.05 to 1.0% of a betaine type ampholytic antistatic agent, both on the basis of the amount of a magnetic powder, in a dispersion mill using steel balls. The abrasive has a hardness of not lower than 6 on Mohs' scale.
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium, consisting of a base coated with a magnetic coating material, contains finely divided particles of at least either nickel or copper uniformly dispersed in the magnetic coating, in the form of primary particles obtained by pulverization of the skeletal structure of a mother salt or of an aggregated structure. In a method of manufacturing the medium, an antistatic additive, prepared by pulverizing and dispersing at least either Ni powder or Cu powder which retains the skeletal structure of a mother salt or having an aggregated structure, in the presence of a polymeric material, is mixed in the magnetic coating material.
Abstract: A DC-DC converter for converting a primary DC voltage to a secondary DC voltage comprises a transformer with a primary winding and a secondary winding each wound on a ferromagnetic core, a primary DC voltage power source, a plurality of switching transistors connected between said DC voltage power source and the primary winding of the transformer, means for controlling the status (ON or OFF) of the transistors so that an alternate current or an intermittent current in the predetermined direction flows from the DC power source to the primary winding of the transformer, a rectify/smoothing circuit connected between the secondary winding of the transformer and a load, and said primary winding of the transformer having a center tap which is connected to one end of the DC voltage power source through a capacitor.

Abstract: In a process for producing a magnetic metal powder, a magnetic metal compound is reduced by wet reduction in a state mixed with a clay or is heat treated in the presence of a clay powder. Alternatively, a magnetic metal powder is prepared by reducing a magnetic metal powder by wet reduction or by reducing a magnetic metal compound in a state mixed with a clay by dry reduction, and then the resulting powder is heat treated in the presence of the clay powder. The clay is typically kaolin.
Abstract: A silver-silver chloride skin electrode is prepared by coating a composition containing silver grain, silver chloride grain and glass frit on a substrate made of a spinel type crystalline oxide such as ferrite and sintering the coated layer. The electrode is durable to an electroconductive paste.

Abstract: A doppler detector for measuring the speed and/or the direction of a moving body utilizing the principle of the doppler effect that the reflected frequency from a moving body is slightly changed has been found. The present doppler detector comprises a rectangular waveguide inserted between a microwave oscillator and an antenna, an elongated ferri-magnetic body inserted between a pair of H planes of said waveguide, and said body being magnetized in the axial direction of the same, and a pair of diodes each inserted between H planes of said waveguide so that the first diode being symmetrical with the second diode concerning the lateral plane including the center axis of said ferri-magnetic body.
Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette comprises a metallic intermediate frame having upper and under flat surfaces in parallel and providing a space large enough to hold a reel of magnetic tape, and a top plate and a bottom plate, both of which are plastic moldings in the form of substantially flat plates fastened together with the intermediate frame along the flat surfaces. The intermediate frame and the both plate have aligning and matching means for precise engagement with one another.

Abstract: A basic ceramic composition of high dielectric constant type ceramic composition comprises from 68.67 to 69.19% of PbO, from 3.67 to 4.09% of MgO, from 24.17 to 26.99% of Nb.sub.2 O.sub.5 and from 0.25 to 2.97% of TiO.sub.2, all percentages being by weight. Modified composition may comprise additive of Pb(Mn.sub.2/3 W.sub.1/3)O.sub.3, Pb(Mn.sub.1/3 Nb.sub.2/3)O.sub.3, Pb(Mn.sub.1/3 Ta.sub.2/3)O.sub.3, Pb(Mn.sub.1/2 W.sub.1/2)O.sub.3, MnO, and MgO. Modified composition may comprise Ba, Sr and Ca, which replace Pb of the basic ceramic composition. In a modified composition, the content of B site elements may be larger than that of A site element of an ABO.sub.3 crystal of the high dielectric constant type ceramic composition. A high dielectric constant, low dielectric loss, low temperature dependence of capacitance, high insulation resistance and a low sintering temperature are provided by the ceramic compositions of the present invention.

Abstract: An apparatus for detecting information indicative of the rotation of an engine is disclosed in which a multiplicity of magnetic poles are formed on a track along the circumferential periphery of a rotating member driven by an engine, thus detecting a rotational reference position and a rotational angle from the rotational reference position of the engine. A rotational reference sensor and an angle sensor for generating a signal representing a change in magnetic fluxes by detection of the magnetic fluxes from the track are arranged in opposition to the track in spaced relation from each other along the axis of the rotating member. Some of the magnetic poles on the track which are opposed to the rotational reference sensor are omitted, so that a signal representing the rotational reference position is generated in the case where the angle sensor detects magnetic fluxes but the rotational reference sensor fails to detect the same.

Abstract: An apparatus for rewinding a magnetic tape in a video cassette comprises a feeding reel and a winding reel which hold a cleaning tape along a part of the magnetic tape; a pushing pad for pushing the cleaning tape on the magnetic tape; and means for driving the winding reel to feed the cleaning tape at a low speed to the direction reversing to the forward direction of the magnetic tape.
