Abstract: A removable medium recording station records medical image data in a format and removable medium that are widely accepted. The removable medium recording station can be used to effectively replace an installed storage device on an existing stand-alone medical image workstation. Storage onto removable media is transformed into an outboard operation. This transformation enables a hospital to migrate existing medical imaging systems to new formats and media without sacrificing a large portion of their initial investment. Additionally, the removable medium recording station can be attached as a peripheral on an existing medical modality network. In this capacity, the removable medium recording station enables an operator on the medical modality network to store medical images in a selected format and on a selected type of removable medium regardless of the proprietary format used by the enterprise level archive server.
Abstract: The disk storage case is composed of a circular setting portion for setting the disk-like member such as a compact disk thereon, a disk holding portion for holding the disk-like member vertically and annularly arranged at a center of a setting face of the setting portion, and a through hole provided at inner side of the annular holding portion. The disk storage case has a simple structure and a lightweight. A plurality of disk storage cases storing the compact disks and others can compactly be stacked and packaged, and by insertion of the cylindrical rod into the through hole and by packing with film, it may easily be packaged without tilting, and the package of a plurality of the disk storage cases can be produced simply and effectively.

Abstract: A terminal fitted bobbin adapted to be fitted in a pot core so as to form a transformer or inductance element has a structure in which at least one frame provided with a plurality of terminals is formed on a flange and has at least one projection for guiding lead wires. When windings are applied to the bobbin and the bobbin is further fitted in the core, the projection guides the lead wires to be connected to terminals at the ends of the windings so they do not contact the core and is effective in automating the winding operation.
Abstract: A magnetic tape cassette in a case overwrapped with a plastic film having a tear tape wound on all four sides of the case close to, and substantially in parallel with, one case end, the film being overlapped at the mating edge portions and glued together on a side of the case adjoining to the above end, with the tear tape extended between the overlapped edge portions, is characterized in that at least one cut is made in the overlying one of the edge portions, extending along the edge of the tear tape closer to one case end and, where an additional cut is provided, the latter extending obliquely away from the end of the opposite edge of the tear tape. The underside of the end portion of the tear tape and, when desired, the same side of the overlying film edge portion, are made adhesive-repellent. The end portion of the tear tape may extend beyond the overlying film edge portion.
Abstract: In a magnetic recording medium having a coating for magnetic recording formed on one side of the base and a back coating on the opposite side, the back coating consists of a nonmagnetic powder dispersed in a binder which is a combination of nitrocellulose, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyurethane, and an isocyanate compound.
Abstract: A PTC heating element with a honeycomb ceramic body comprising a barium titanate and semiconductor element, which provides the ceramic body with a positive temperature coefficient of resistance over the Curie point. An electrode is deposited on each end of the honeycomb body. The electrodes according to the present invention have a non-ohmic property, while the conventional electrodes have been ohmic. A high rush current and migration are advantageously decreased by the non-ohmic electrodes.
Abstract: A piezo-electric transducer includes a piezo-electric ceramic sheet bonded to a vibrating reed and one or more electrodes bonded to the piezo-electric ceramic sheet, wherein said vibrating reed has a plurality of through-holes on a vibrational nodal line for vibration of the vibrating reed.
Abstract: A method for erasing a light recording medium comprising a thermoplastic resin having a number average molecular weight of 30,000 or less wherein a recording pit is refilled by using a light beam diameter greater than the pit diameter.
Abstract: An inductance device comprises a coil wound on a magnetic core; and an electrode layer made of a metal foil bonded on an end surface of said magnetic core on which an end of said coil and an end of a lead wire are soldered on said metal foil.
Abstract: A reel spring for a magnetic tape cassette is made of a resilient sheet metal into a diamond-like configuration in which a pair of portions which are asymmetrical with reference to two central axial line perpendicularly crossing and are symmetrical with reference to the crossing point are removed.
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium having a subbing metal layer formed by sputtering under a thin magnetic layer formed by vapor deposition possesses excellent magnetic properties and high surface hardness. The presence of the subbing layer improves the adhesion of the thin magnetic layer to the support.
Abstract: Conventionally, silicon steel strips and ferrite cores have been used as the core of a choke coil. These strips and the like have not yet been replaced with amorphous alloy because in the known amorphous magnetic alloy the pre-magnetization characteristic, the amount of heat generated, and the secular change are poor. The present invention proposes a core of a choke coil which consists of a coiled thin strip of an amorphous alloy, and has at least one cut air gap, the coiled regions of the thin strip being bound to one another at at least in the neighborhood of said at least one cut air gap, and said amorphous magnetic alloy is essentially comprised of the following composition, Fe.sub.x Mn.sub.y (Si.sub.p B.sub.q P.sub.r C.sub.s).sub.z, wherein x+y+z is 100 atomic % based on all of the elements, y is from 0.001 to 10 atomic %, z is from 21 to 25.5 atomic %, p+q+r+s is atomic % 1, p is from 0.40 to 0.75, r is fro 0.0001 to 0.05, the ratio s/q is from 0.03 to 0.4, and z is z.ltoreq.50p+1, z.ltoreq.10p+19, z.
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium is provided which is assured of smoothly and stably running properties and is free of the so-called "squeal" phenomenon, especially in an environment of high temperature and high humidity. A highly viscous silicone oil having a viscosity of 100,000 or more is incorporated as a lubricating agent in the magnetic coating of the magnetic recording medium in an amount of 0.5 to 2% by weight based on binder. Such silicone oil is a dimethyl silicone oil having the following rational formula: ##STR1## where n is a number which determines a viscosity thereof.
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium contains, in the coating layer of a magnetic powder, 0.5-15% by weight of at least either nonmagnetic powder of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 or Cr.sub.2 O.sub.3 and 0.5-15% by weight of .alpha.-Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3, the sum of the proportions of the nonmagnetic powder and .alpha.-Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 not exceeding 20% by weight, all on the basis of the weight of the magnetic powder. The nonmagnetic powder and .alpha.Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 both range in particle size from 0.1 to 2 .mu.m.
