Abstract: The tire includes a crown reinforcement which is formed of three working crown layers of reinforcing elements. The reinforcing elements of the two radially outermost working layers are crossed from one layer to the other, making with the circumferential direction angles of between 20 and 45° the circumferential direction, of the reinforcing elements of the radially innermost working layer being between 15 and 20°. The reinforcing elements of the two radially innermost working layers are oriented in the same direction with respect to the circumferential direction. The difference between the angles of the reinforcing elements of the radially innermost working layers is greater than 10°. The widths of the two radially outermost working layers are greater than the 0.7 times the width of the tread, and the width of the radially innermost working layer is strictly less than 0.7 times the width of the tread.

Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for producing an organic compound by a phase transfer catalysis reaction using a forced thin-film microreactor.
Abstract: A ground fault detection circuit comprising a fuse and a fuse detect circuit. The fuse and the fuse detect circuit are arranged to be coupled in parallel between a reference point and a second point of a monitored circuit for which ground faults are to be detected. The fuse detect circuit is further arranged to detect a fuse break indicative of a ground fault condition and disable at least a portion of the monitored circuit.
Abstract: A method of producing efficiently and stably core-shell type oxide particles, wherein the entire surface of the core oxide particles is uniformly coated with the shell oxide, includes at least two steps of: Step 1 of precipitating the core oxide particles in a mixed fluid prepared by mixing an oxide raw material liquid for core and an oxide precipitation solvent and Step 2 of coating the entire surface of the core oxide particles uniformly with the shell oxide by mixing the mixed fluid and an oxide raw material liquid for shell.
Abstract: The tire tread having a tread surface and a total thickness E and at least one main groove which opens when new onto a tread surface. In the vicinity of this main groove, at least one discontinuous secondary groove has a plurality of hidden parts and a plurality of open parts. The open parts are open onto the tread surface when new. The main groove and the discontinuous secondary groove have roughly identical main directions. The mean distance L1, which is a distance measured at the open parts between the mean surface of the main groove and the mean surface of the discontinuous groove, is less than the mean distance L2 measured between the mean surface of the main groove and the mean surface of the discontinuous groove in the regions of the discontinuous groove that do not have open parts.

Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel, solid silver-copper alloy. Provided is a solid silver-copper alloy in which the concentration of copper contained in the silver-copper alloy is 0.1-99.94 wt %, and which has, as the principal constituent thereof, a non-eutectic structure which does not contain a eutectic when the solid silver-copper alloy is at room temperature. This silver-copper alloy can be produced by mixing a fluid containing silver ions and copper ions with a fluid containing a reducing agent, and separating silver-copper alloy particles therefrom. It is preferable to mix the fluid containing the silver ions and copper ions with the fluid containing the reducing agent in a thin-film fluid formed between processing surfaces arranged so as to face one another, capable of approaching toward and separating from one another, and capable of having at least one surface rotate relative to the other.
Abstract: A method is used for tightening screw joints by a power tool which includes a manually operated trigger for controlling power supply to the power tool, and a power shut-off mechanism for automatic discontinuation of the power tool operation as a predetermined tightening level is reached. The method includes continuously indicating a position of the trigger, indicating a status of the power shut-off mechanism, and disabling the power tool in an inoperative state for a predetermined time if the trigger is indicated as inactivated without the shut-off mechanism being indicated as activated.
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing oxide particles with controlled color characteristics and to provide oxide particles with controlled color characteristics. The present invention provides a method for producing oxide particles, comprising controlling color characteristics of the oxide particles by controlling the ratio of M-OH bonds, the binding of one or more different elements (M) other than oxygen or hydrogen with hydroxyl group (OH), in oxide particles selected from metal oxide particles and metalloid oxide particles. According to the present invention, oxide particles having controlled color characteristics of any one of reflectance, transmittance, molar absorption coefficient, hue, or color saturation can be provided by controlling the percentage of the M-OH bonds contained in metal oxide particles or metalloid oxide particles.
Abstract: A pneumatic impulse wrench includes a housing with a motor powered impulse unit, a pressure air inlet passage, an exhaust air outlet passage located in the housing and connected to the motor, and a motor power controlling valve mechanism located in the exhaust air outlet passage for automatic control of the exhaust air flow from the motor. A control pressure passage extends between the air inlet passage and the valve mechanism for communicating actual air inlet pressure to the valve mechanism. An operating mode shifting valve is provided in the housing and which is shiftable between an open position in which communication is allowed through the control pressure passage in an automatic valve mechanism operating mode, and a closed position in which communication through the control pressure passage is blocked in a manual valve mechanism operating mode.
Abstract: An assembly for use in refining metals includes two adjacent capping board segments defining a joint interface there-between, a contact bar that may be a contact bar segment and is sized and configured to lay on the two capping boards and to span across the joint interface, and two engagement mechanisms provided on respective sides of the joint interface, to hold the capping board segments together. Each engagement mechanism may include a projecting anchor element and a retaining cavity sized and configured to receive a corresponding projecting anchor element. The contact bar may include the projecting anchor elements and the capping board segments may include the retaining cavities. Methods and uses of such contact bars and capping board segments are also provided for hydrometallurgical refining operations.
