Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that dynamically render permissive status information on a human-machine interface (HMI) to inform an operator of conditions that are preventing an issued control command from executing. A status display generator deployed on the HMI can be associated with a control action to be initiated in a control program via the HMI. The control action can have one or more programmed conditions or permissives that must be satisfied before the control action can be initiated. Operators wishing to review the states of the various conditions can invoke the status display generator, which reads the conditions and their respective statuses from the control program and generates a permissive summary display listing the conditions together with their respective “ready” or “not ready” states.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising a network node configured to support a lightweight secure neighbor discovery (LSEND) protocol for securing neighbor discovery protocols (NDP) for energy-aware devices, wherein the network node is configured to wirelessly communicate with a host node, wherein the network node is configured to exchange LSEND protocol messages with the host node, and wherein the LSEND protocol uses reduced public key and signature sizes and more lightweight signature calculations in comparison to a secure neighbor discovery (SEND) protocol for securing NDP communications that are more suitable for low-power and lossy networks (LLNs).

Abstract: Aspects describe creation of autonomous control for a composite curing process. Other aspects describe a controller and an apparatus for employing an autonomous control algorithm for a composite curing application. The algorithm can be based on thermocouple rules encapsulated within a thermocouple control wrapper. The thermocouple rules allow the thermocouple wrapper carry out diagnostic operations to determine the health of the associated thermocouple by communicating with neighboring thermocouples and validating temperature readings according to the thermocouple rules.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a universal serial bus (USB) transaction translator and an associated IN/OUT bulk transaction method. A device interface is coupled to a device via a device bus, and a host interface is coupled to a host via a host bus, wherein the host USB version is higher than the device USB version. At least two buffers configured to store data are disposed between the device interface and the host interface. A controller stores the data in the buffers alternately. In a bulk-IN transaction, before the host sends an IN packet, the controller pre-fetches data and stores the data in the buffers until all the buffers are full or a requested data length has been achieved; the pre-fetched data are then sent to the host after the host sends the IN packet. In a bulk-OUT transaction, the controller stores the data sent from the host in the buffers, and the data are then post-written to the device.

The seal carrier includes one or more elements of relatively rigid material defining a sealing face with a seal-receiving groove intermpting the sealing face. The seal-receiving groove has groove-defining walls each of which has a proximal end at the sealing face and a distal end. The groove-defining walls serve as seal contact surfaces. The seal contact surfaces are configured such that the seal-receiving groove narrows toward its distal end. The seal-receiving groove has a depth and a breadth suitable for accepting the seal element, with the seal element projecting past the sealing face when compressed to be in contact with the seal contact surfaces.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an image projector has a spatial light modulator (SLM) adapted to modulate illumination from a laser with a spatial pattern such that the modulated illumination projects an image on a viewing screen. The image projector further has an optical diffuser located on an optical path between the laser and the SLM. The laser is adapted to illuminate the SLM through the optical diffuser to create an illuminated area at the SLM. The optical diffuser is adapted to introduce an angular spread into the light transmitted therethrough. The image projector is adapted to move the illuminated area with respect to the SLM to mitigate speckle in the projected image.

These treated particles form stable dispersions in the aqueous phase of oil-in-water mixtures that are suitable for cosmetic applications. Abstract: Present embodiments are directed to a system and method for facilitating communication between an external application stored on an external computer and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system component without utilizing a format of the ERP system. Present embodiments function to receive configurable material in a first data format from the external application into a user control stored on the external computer and convert the configurable material into a second data format with the user control. Additionally, present embodiments operate to make the configurable material available in the second data format to a server-side scripting component of an ERP system. Further, present embodiments function to receive a response object from the server-side scripting component in a third data format and convert the response object into configuration data in the first data format with the user control, and transmit the configuration data in the first data format to the external application with the user control.
