  • Patent number: 11556665
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a data storage device comprising a data path and an access controller. The data path comprises a data port configured to transmit data between a host computer and the data storage device. The data storage device is configured to register with the host computer as a block data storage device. A non-volatile storage medium stores encrypted user content data and a cryptography engine is connected between the data port and the storage medium and uses a cryptographic key to decrypt the encrypted user content data. The access controller generates a challenge for an authorized device; sends the challenge to the authorized device; receives a response to the challenge from the authorized device over the communication channel; calculates the cryptographic key based on the response; and provides the cryptographic key to the cryptography engine to decrypt the encrypted user content data stored on the storage medium.

  • Patent number: 11558914
Abstract: In one example, a server obtains an indication that a first mobile device is in a predetermined proximity to a non-mobile device. In response, the server permits the first mobile device to pair with the non-mobile device. The server generates whitelisted information associated with the first mobile device by adding information associated with the first mobile device to a whitelist that controls mobile device pairing for the non-mobile device. The server also obtains an indication that a given mobile device has obtained one or more keep-alive messages from the non-mobile device. Based on the whitelisted information, the server determines whether to permit the given mobile device to pair or remain paired with the non-mobile device. In response to determining to permit the given mobile device to pair or remain paired with the non-mobile device, the server permits the given mobile device to pair or remain paired with the non-mobile device.

  • Patent number: 11555663
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and techniques for an electromechanical trigger that is implementable in a gun. The gun may include a trigger mechanism, a trigger sensing mechanism, and a fire control manager. The fire control manager may identify a trigger break based on the trigger sensing mechanism generating a voltage, and the fire control manager may transmit a signal to an actuator mechanism based on the trigger break. A detent mechanism may be dislocated in response to a force applied to a trigger mechanism, and the trigger sensing mechanism may generate the voltage based on the dislocating of the detent mechanism. Dislocating the detent mechanism may correspond to satisfying a trigger break threshold. The actuator mechanism may be displaced in response to the signal, and displacing the actuator mechanism may result in a projectile being propelled from the gun.

  • Patent number: 11557346
Abstract: Apparatuses and techniques are described for detecting and compensating for a set of memory cells having a slow program speed, based on a comparison between the number of program loops used to complete programming for different data states. A program loop (PL) number is stored when programming is completed for memory cells of each assigned data state. The PL number of an nth state is then compared to the PL number of another state such as the n?1st state. If the difference between the PL numbers exceeds a threshold, the set of memory cells is considered to be slow programming and a compensation is triggered. The compensation can involve increasing the program pulse width in each remaining program pulse of the program operation. In another approach, the compensation can be triggered and subsequently deactivated in the program operation.

  • Patent number: 11557338
Abstract: A non-volatile memory includes a cell array, a current supply circuit, a path selecting circuit, a verification circuit and a control circuit. During a sample period of a verification action, the control circuit controls the current supply circuit to provide n M-th reference currents to the verification circuit and convert the n M-th reference currents into n reference voltages. During a verification period of the verification action, the control circuit controls n multi-level memory cells of a selected row of the cell array to generate n cell currents to the verification circuit and convert the n cell currents into n sensed voltages. The n verification devices generate the n verification signals according to the reference voltages and the sensed voltages. Accordingly, the control circuit judges whether the n multi-level memory cells have reached an M-th storage state.

  • Patent number: 11558157
Abstract: A fixed wireless access system is implemented using orthogonal time frequency space multiplexing (OTFS). Data transmissions to/from different devices share transmission resources using—delay Doppler multiplexing, time-frequency multiplexing, multiplexing at stream and/or layer level, and angular multiplexing. Time-frequency multiplexing is achieved by dividing the time-frequency plan into subgrids, with the subsampled time frequency grid being used to carry the OTFS data. Antenna implementations include a hemispherical antenna with multiple antenna elements arranged in an array to achieve multiplexing.

  • Patent number: 11556249
Abstract: Techniques for reducing write amplification in solid state storage are disclosed. A storage device includes single-level cell (SLC) and multi-level cell (MLCs) portions. A controller may allocate for storage in the SLC portions a sequential closed block pool for sequential data and a random closed block pool for random data. Responsive to certain conditions, the controller may relocate the sequential and random data from the respective sequential and random closed block pools to the MLC portions. The sequential data are relocated prior to the random data. Delaying relocation of random data reduces valid count at the relocation time, reducing write amplification and improving random reads.

  • Patent number: 11557352
Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for decoding data are described. A sequence of read-level voltages for decoding operations may be determined based on a trend of decoding success indicators, including a first decoding success indicator and a second decoding success indicator. The first decoding success indicator is obtained from a more recent successful decoding operation. The first one of the sequence may be set to a read-level voltage of the first decoding success indicator. If the read-level voltage of the first decoding success indicator is less than a read-level voltage of the second decoding success indicator, then the trend is decreasing, and the second one of the sequence may be set to a read-level voltage less than that of the first one of the sequence. After executing one or more decoding operations, the decoding success indicators may be updated based on the read-level voltage of the current successful decoding operation.

  • Patent number: 11555589
Abstract: A structural light fixture for the ceiling of clean room, such as a clean room for pharmaceutical or electronic research or production, includes an outer U-shaped beam and an inner U-shaped beam. The inner U-shaped beam nests within the outer U-shaped beam. The inner and outer U-shaped beams are mutually reinforcing so that the combination of the two U-shaped beams is stronger and stiffer than either U-shaped beam alone. The top side of the outer U-shaped beam is exposed to the outside of the clean room and includes no perforations so that the outer U-shaped beam is a barrier to gas, particulates, microorganisms or disinfectants that otherwise would pass through the clean room ceiling. The removable inner U-shaped beam includes a lamp and power supply, allowing maintenance of the structural light fixture from the interior of the clean room without interrupting the barrier to contamination created by the structural light fixture.
