  • Patent number: 11152009
Abstract: In a voice controlled system, multiple applications are configured to respond to various commands. The voice controlled system includes client devices and servers. The correct application to receive a natural language command is identified based on how well the command matches functions of the application. A target application to receive the command may additionally be selected based on which application is most likely to receive a command. Likelihood of an application receiving a command may be determined by considering context. The command may be a voice input to a client device that is analyzed by speech recognition technology to determine word strings representing possible commands. Thus, the selection of a target application to receive the command may be based on word strings from the natural language input, a closeness of fit between the command and an application, and/or the likelihood an application is the target for the next incoming command.

  • Patent number: 11150100
Abstract: Examples provided herein describe a navigation system to identify routes that take safety considerations into account. The system accesses safety data from various sources and computes safety data for individual road segments of a map database at multiple times for each road segment. The road segment safety data is used when determining routes for requested trips, including estimating the times that the various road segments on the route will be traversed and determining the safety of each road segment at that time.

  • Patent number: 11151052
Abstract: In one approach, a computer storage device has one or more pivot tables and corresponding bit maps stored in volatile memory. The storage device has non-volatile storage media that stores data for a host device. The pivot tables and bit maps are used to determine physical addresses of the non-volatile storage media for logical addresses received in commands from the host device that are determined to be within a sequential address range (e.g., LBAs that are part of a prior sequential write operation by the host device). When a command is received by the storage device that includes a logical address within the sequential address range, then one of the pivot tables and its corresponding bit map are used to determine the physical address of the non-volatile storage media that corresponds to the logical address.

  • Patent number: 11151043
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for predictive memory access are described. Memory control circuitry instructs a memory array to read a data block from or write the data block to a location targeted by a memory access request, determines memory access information including a data value correlation parameter determined based on data bits used to indicate a raw data value in the data block and/or an inter-demand delay correlation parameter determined based on a demand time of the memory access request, predicts that read access to another location in the memory array will subsequently be demanded by another memory access request based on the data value correlation parameter and/or the inter-demand delay correlation parameter, and instructs the memory array to output another data block stored at the other location to a different memory level that provides faster data access speed before the other memory access request is received.

  • Patent number: 11150821
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses related to memory operation with multiple sets of latencies are disclosed. A memory device or system that includes a memory device may be operable with one or several sets of latencies (e.g., read, write, or write recovery latencies), and the memory device or system may apply a set of latencies depending on which features of the memory device are enabled. For example, control circuitry may be configured to enable one or more features during operations on a memory array, and the control circuitry may apply a set of latency values based on a number or type of features that are enabled. The sets of latency values may depend, for example, on whether various control features (e.g., dynamic voltage frequency scaling) are enabled, and a device may operate within certain frequency ranges irrespective of other characteristics (e.g., mode register values) or latencies applied.

  • Patent number: 11150960
Abstract: Technology is described for computationally intensive distributed computing systems and methods. A method for using object types to distribute processing may include determining object types for data objects. A mapping between the data objects and processing partitions may be determined using the object types. A processing partition may be associated with a processing application that processes data objects of a given object type. A hardware host in a distributed computing system may identify an application library having a plurality of processing applications that process a plurality of data objects associated with a plurality of object types. The hardware host may use the processing partition assigned to the hardware host to identify the processing application for the object type associated with the processing partition from the application library. The hardware host may launch an instance of the processing application to enable the hardware host to process the plurality of data objects.

  • Patent number: 11153182
Abstract: Policies can be applied to, and enforced for, specific resources by applying a corresponding tag to those resources. An entity, such as a customer of a resource provider, can generate one or more policies to be applied to a set of resources, where those policies can relate to data retention, backup, lifecycle events, and other such aspects. Each policy can be associated with a particular tag, which may comprise a key-value pair to be applied to various resources. A policy enforcement manager can determine the tagged resources and ensure that the relevant policies are applied. The policies can include logic or intelligence for performing a variety of tasks with respect to resources, groups of resources, or types of resources, as identified using the tags.
