  • Patent number: 10462009
Abstract: Techniques are described that enable users to replicate information technology (IT) infrastructures located within the users' on-premises computing environments at a computing environment provided by a computing resources service provider. A user's IT infrastructure can include any number of interworking components including, for example, physical servers, virtual machines (VMs), software components, as well as various types of system configurations related to networking, security, and so forth. A user may desire to replicate an on-premises IT infrastructure at a service provider network, for example, to take advantage of the increased scalability and stability of the service provider network, for reduced infrastructure and management costs, for use in on-demand verification and testing of an infrastructure, or for the ability to automatically failover servers.

  • Patent number: 10462007
Abstract: Changes are made to a virtual network for an endpoint based on the authenticated user identity of the endpoint. The system includes a server and a controller associated with a network fabric to which the endpoint is connected. The network fabric includes network elements to carry network traffic for the endpoint. The server authenticates the endpoint associated with a network address and determines a user identity of the endpoint based on the authentication. The server determines a first virtual network associated with the user identity. The controller receives a notification from the server that the network traffic for the endpoint associated with the network address is to be routed over the first virtual network. The controller updates routing information to associate the network address with the first virtual network and sends the updated routing information to the network elements of the network fabric.

  • Patent number: 10462725
Abstract: A system and method for improving the user experience with a mobile wireless device by reconnecting to a faster speed connection after being rejected for the higher speed by an overloaded cell before expiration of a de-prioritization timer when the mobile wireless device travels away from the overloaded cell. In an embodiment, a method includes receiving from the first cell a connection rejection instructing the mobile wireless device to de-prioritize one or more frequencies of the first connection technology and a de-prioritization timer indicating a time period for the frequencies to remain de-prioritized; determining that the mobile wireless device has left the coverage area of the first cell; and connecting to a second cell of the telecommunication network via a connection in the one or more frequencies of the first connection technology prior to the expiration of the de-prioritization timer.

  • Patent number: 10461992
Abstract: In one embodiment, detection of failures in a network device can be achieved by obtaining a last hop of partial traceroutes. For example, the last hops of the partial traceroutes detected in a time period can be sorted by frequency of occurrence. Multiple clusters can be generated, one with last hops that are most frequent and at least one other with the last hops that are less frequent. The hop with the highest frequency and the last hop with the second highest frequency can be compared. If the last hop with the highest frequency exceeds the second highest frequency by a predetermined amount, then the last hop with the highest frequency is alarmable.

  • Patent number: 10460018
Abstract: Described are techniques for automatically grouping webpages based on common layout characteristics without requiring presentation of the webpages. The relationships between HTML elements or other types of nodes in a webpage may be used to generate aliases for each node. Each alias represents a particular relationship or combination of relationships between the node and one or more other nodes. This process may be repeated for each webpage in a website, then the matching aliases between webpages may be determined. Based on the matching aliases between webpages, the webpages that share a large number of common aliases may be grouped into a cluster of webpages having common layout characteristics.

  • Patent number: 10461946
Abstract: Various systems and methods for performing bit indexed explicit replication (BIER). For example, one method involves receiving a membership request at a node. The membership request is received from a host and the membership request identifies a multicast group. In response to receiving the membership request, the node generates a membership message. The membership message includes information identifying the multicast group and information identifying the node. The node transmits the membership to an overlay participant that stores a bit string associated with the multicast group.

  • Patent number: 10459918
Abstract: Techniques for improving efficiency of data processing associated with data queries are described. For example, a computer system may access a first query result of a first time window that result may have been generated based on first transformed data stored in data partitions associated with the first time window. The computer system may access data corresponding to a time unit that falls outside of the first time window and inside a second time window. The first time window and the second time window may have overlapping time units. The computer system may generate a data partition that corresponds to the time unit and that stores second transformed data. The second transformed data may correspond to a data transformation of the data. The computer system may generate a second query result for the second time window based on the second transformed data and the first query result.

  • Patent number: 10462055
Abstract: Content distribution system cache management may be provided. First, a sync packet may be received by a cache server from a first server. The sync packet may include a list indicating a cache server where a chunk is to be stored and the address for the chunk. Next, an address for the chunk may be obtained by the cache server by parsing the sync packet. The cache server may then determine that the chunk is not stored on the cache server by using the address for the chunk. Next, in response to determining that the chunk is not stored on the cache server, a connection may be opened between the first server and the cache server. The cache server may then receive the chunk over the connection and cache the chunk on the cache server.

  • Patent number: 10461780
Abstract: In various implementations, a method includes determining a sequence of source packets. In some implementations, the sequence of source packets satisfies a windowing condition. In various implementations, the method includes synthesizing a first set of one or more parity packets as a function of a first set of source packets in the sequence. In some implementations, the first set of source packets satisfies a first encoding pattern. In various implementations, the method includes synthesizing a second set of parity packets as a function of a second set of source packets in the sequence. In some implementations, the second set of source packets satisfies a second encoding pattern that is different from the first encoding pattern. In some implementations, the first and second encoding patterns characterize an encoding structure determined as a function of a channel characterization vector.

  • Patent number: 10460486
Abstract: Systems and methods for aggregating and storing different types of data, and generating interactive user interfaces for analyzing the stored data. In some embodiments, entity data is received for a plurality of entities from one or more data sources, and used to determine attribute values for the entities for one or more given time periods. The plurality of entities may be categorized into one or more entity groups, and aggregate attribute values may be generated based upon the entity groups. A first interactive user interface is generated displaying the one or more entity groups in association with the aggregated attribute values associated with the entity group. In response to a received indication of a user selection of an entity group, a second interactive user interface is generated displaying the one or more entities associated with the selected entity group, each entity displayed in association with the attribute values associated with the entity.
