Abstract: Computing resource service providers may provide computing resources to customers in a multi-tenant environment. These computing resources may be behind a firewall or other security device such that certain information does not reach the computing resources provided to the customer. A logging entity may be implemented on computer server operated by the computing resource service provider. The logging entity may obtain log information from the firewall or other security device and store the log information such that it is accessible to the customer. Additionally, the log information may be provided to other services such as a metrics service or intrusion detection service.

Abstract: A vapor phase growth apparatus according to an embodiment includes n reaction chambers, a main gas supply passage supplying a process gas to the n reaction chambers, a main mass flow controller arranged in the main gas supply passage to control a flow rate of the process gas flowing in the main gas supply passage, (n?1) first sub gas supply passages being branches of the main gas supply passage to supply divided process gases to the (n?1) reaction chambers among the n reaction chambers, (n?1) first sub mass flow controllers arranged in the first sub gas supply passages to control flow rates of the process gases flowing in the first sub gas supply passages, and one second sub gas supply passage being a branch of the main gas supply passage to supply a remainder of the process gas to the one reaction chamber other than the (n?1) reaction chambers.

Abstract: Disclosed are data gathering and analysis systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media to facilitate an investigation process. The method includes accessing a data object representing an investigative issue. The method further includes causing presentation, on a display of a device, of a user interface configured to receive user search queries and present search results for each received search query. The method further includes tracking user activity including one or more user actions performed as part of an investigation of the investigatory issue, the one or more user actions including user interactions with the user interface. The method further includes creating a record of the user activity involving the investigatory issue, and linking the record of the user activity with the data object representing the investigative issue.

Abstract: A shut-off valve for use in a fluid transport or storage system includes a body defining an inlet port, an outlet port, and a fluid flow passageway extending between the inlet port and the outlet port, a seat arranged in the body adjacent the outlet port, a shaft at least partially disposed in the body, and a control assembly disposed in the body and operatively coupled to the shaft. The control assembly is movable between a closed position, in which a portion of the control assembly sealingly engages the seat to seal the outlet port, and an open position, in which the control assembly is spaced away from the outlet port and substantially outside of the fluid flow passageway, such that the control assembly provides minimal flow-restriction to fluid flowing through the fluid flow passageway.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for error correcting data are provided. A first error correction code (ECC) decoder is configured to decode a first codeword to provide a first result and to decode a second codeword to provide a second result. The decoder is configured to run up to a particular number of iterations to provide each of the results. A second ECC decoder is configured to decode a third codeword to provide decoded data, wherein the third codeword comprises the first result and the second result. An evaluation module is configured to initiate a recovery scheme responsive to the decoded data including an error.

Abstract: Packet processors or other devices with packet processing pipelines may implement pipelined evaluations of algorithmic forwarding route lookups. As network packets are received, a destination address for the network packets may be divided into different possible prefix lengths and corresponding entries in a routing table for the different possible prefix lengths may be determined according to a hash scheme for the routing table. The entry values may be read from the routing table and evaluated at subsequent stages to identify the entry with a longest prefix match with respect to the destination address for the network packet. The routing table may include entries for different types of network packets and may be configured to include virtual routing and forwarding for network packets.

Abstract: Semiconductor die assemblies including stacked semiconductor dies having parallel plate capacitors formed between adjacent pairs of semiconductor dies in the stack, and associated systems and methods, are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a semiconductor die assembly includes a first semiconductor die and a second semiconductor die stacked over the first semiconductor die. The first semiconductor die includes an upper surface having a first capacitor plate formed thereon, and the second semiconductor die includes a lower surface facing the upper surface of the first semiconductor die and having a second capacitor plate formed thereon. A dielectric material is formed at least partially between the first and second capacitor plates. The first capacitor plate, second capacitor plate, and dielectric material together form a capacitor that stores charge locally within the stack, and that can be accessed by the first and/or second semiconductor dies.

Abstract: Industrial devices are configured to provide their associated industrial data to client-side user interface applications in a self-describing manner that instructs the interface applications how the data is to be rendered. In response to a request for a data item from a user interface application, the industrial device sends the requested data item together with presentation metadata that identifies a widget or graphical objects to be used by the interface application to render the data item on a user interface. By providing the industrial data in a self-describing manner, additional data or services can be added to the industrial device without requiring a corresponding update to the client-side interface application.

Abstract: Voice-controlled devices that include one or more speakers for outputting audio. In some instances, the device includes at least one speaker within a cylindrical housing, with the speaker aimed or pointed away from a microphone coupled to the housing. For instance, if the microphone resides at or near the top of the cylindrical housing, then the speaker may point downwards along the longitudinal axis of the housing and away from the microphone. By pointing the speaker away from the microphone, the microphone will receive less sound from the speaker than if the speaker were pointed toward the microphone). Because the voice-controlled device may perform speech recognition on audio signals generated by the microphone, less sound from the speaker represented in the audio signal may result in more accurate speech recognition, and/or a lesser need to perform acoustic echo cancelation (AEC) on the generated audio signals.

Abstract: An example apparatus comprises a processor, and a memory element in communication with the processor. The processor configured to send a first message to at least a first cable modem of a plurality of cable modems. The first message indicates an upstream test signal to be generated by the first cable modem within a predetermined portion of a frequency spectrum allocated for downstream communication. The processor is further configured to send a second message to at least a second cable modem of the plurality of cable modems. The second message indicates a downstream interference measurement to be performed on the upstream test signal by the second cable modem. The processor is further configured to receive at least one interference measurement result indicative of the downstream interference measurement, and determine at least one interference group for the plurality of cable modems based upon the at least one interference measurement result.

A load balancer (LB) module on each server node determines and publishes a list of active connections between client(s) and the server (a connection publishing packet) back to the LB nodes. The LB module may randomly select a LB node to receive the packet. Upon receiving the packet, the LB node processes the connection information in the packet, distributing the connection information among appropriate LB nodes. Receiving the connection publishing information from the server nodes refreshes leases for the connections on the LB nodes.

The first circuit may be configured to generate an intermediate signal in response to an input clock signal operating at a frequency. The first circuit may modify the input clock signal according to a threshold frequency to generate a waveform for the intermediate signal. The second circuit may be configured to generate a control signal in response to the intermediate signal. The second circuit may modify the intermediate signal to generate the control signal. Abstract: A decoder is disclosed that is used to select an area of address space in an Integrated Circuit. The decoder uses a hardware shifting module that performs shift operations on constants. Such a structure reduces an overall area consumption of the shifting module. Additionally, the decoder can perform a multi-bit shift operation in a single clock cycle.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are provided for a high speed writing test mode for memories. An example apparatus includes a memory core, a data terminal coupled to a data receiver, a read buffer coupled between the data terminal and the memory core, and a write buffer coupled between the data receiver and the memory core. The write buffer may include at least a first input coupled to the data receiver, and a second input. While in a test mode, the write buffer may be loaded with data from the second input instead of the first input.

Abstract: A method of forming an elevationally extending conductor laterally between a pair of conductive lines comprises forming a pair of conductive lines spaced from one another in at least one vertical cross-section. Conductor material is formed to elevationally extend laterally between and cross elevationally over the pair of conductive lines in the at least one vertical cross-section. Sacrificial material is laterally between the elevationally extending conductor material and each of the conductive lines of the pair in the at least one vertical cross-section. The sacrificial material is removed from between the elevationally extending conductor material and each of the conductive lines of the pair while the conductor material is crossing elevationally over the pair of conductive lines to form a void space laterally between the elevationally extending conductor material and each of the conductive lines of the pair in the at least one vertical cross-section.

Abstract: At a microphone array, a soundfield is detected to produce a set of microphone signals each from a corresponding microphone in the microphone array. The set of microphone signals represents the soundfield. The detected soundfield is decomposed into a set of sub-soundfield signals based on the set of microphone signals. Each sub-soundfield signal is processed, such that each sub-soundfield signal is separately dereverberated using other ones of the sub-soundfield signals to remove reverberation from the sub-soundfield signal, to produce a set of processed sub-soundfield signals. The set of processed sub-sound field signals are mixed into a mixed output signal.

Abstract: Water, for example produced water from a steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) or cyclic steam stimulation (CSS) heavy oil recovery operation, is treated, for example to recover water re-use in creating steam. The produced water is concentrated, for example in one or more thermal treatment devices such as an evaporator and a crystallizer. A solvent and a compound or solution comprising multivalent cations is added to the concentrate. Solids precipitate and are separated from the concentrate. The solvent may be recovered for re-use in treating more concentrate.

It may also, in some embodiments, receive external data from data sources. A segmentor may convert characters, represent particles and split dialog. A parser may then apply a link grammar, analyze grammatical mood, tag the dialog and prune dialog variants. A semantic engine may lookup token frames, generate semantic lexicons and semantic networks, and resolve ambiguous co-references. An analytics engine may filter common words from dialog, analyze N-grams, count lemmatized words, and analyze nodes. A pragmatics analyzer may resolve slang, generate knowledge templates, group proper nouns and estimate affect of dialog. A recommender may generate tag clouds, cluster the language sources into neighborhoods, recommend social networking to individuals and businesses, and generate contextual advertising.
