In response to the request, the aggregation server transfers the graphics data over the communication network to the plurality of communication devices. Abstract: Methods and systems for implementing failure management in a distributed strict queue are disclosed. A plurality of messages are distributed to a plurality of queue servers based on strict order parameters for the messages. Messages that share a value for the strict order parameter are distributed to the same queue server. The messages are enqueued at the queue servers. Messages that share a value for the strict order parameter are enqueued in a strict order based on the time of receipt at the queue server. One or more queue clients are configured to attempt message processing for the enqueued messages. Log data is received from the one or more queue clients at the queue servers. The log data is descriptive of the attempted message processing.
Abstract: An implant includes a body having a cylindrical portion extending from a first end to a second end, a first nub extending from the first end, and a second nub extending from the second end. The body includes an inner layer, a middle layer, and an outer layer. The inner layer has a first length extending from a tip of the first nub to a tip of the second nub, and has a first central axis collinear with a central longitudinal axis of the implant. The outer layer has a second length extending from the first end to the second end, has a second central axis collinear with the central longitudinal axis, and provides an outer surface of the implant. Abstract: A surgical plate device that incorporates a screw locking mechanism in each screw hole by which the surgical plate device is affixed to a bony segment. The screw locking mechanism includes a tab structure emanating from an interior portion (or either surface) of the surgical plate that is biased into a portion of the corresponding screw hole. When a screw is inserted into the screw hole, the head of the screw temporarily biases the tab structure out of the screw hole, until the head of the screw passes below the plane of the tab structure, at which point the tab structure rebounds into the previously occupied portion of the screw hole, thereby covering a portion of the head of the screw and preventing it from “backing out.

Abstract: A method of operating a refrigeration system that receives power from an electrical grid includes selectively operating at least one component of the refrigeration system in a first state. The method includes selectively detecting a fault event of the electrical grid in response to a concurrent (i) increase in amount of current drawn by the component and (ii) decrease in voltage of power received by the component. Abstract: This disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods for preventing the onset and progression of POI. In one example, a fan-like polyurethane heat-sealed bilayer that surrounds a plurality of wedge-shaped foam strips that join at a collecting foam portion, is subjected to negative pressure provided through silicone tubing which is sealed to the perforated collecting foam portion. Such negative pressure applied for approximately 48 to 72 hours after closure of the abdomen, helps prevent POI which in turn enhances patient recovery, and reduces the length of their hospital stay.

Abstract: An example method for transformation of Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) compliant virtual devices in a server in a network environment is provided and includes receiving, during runtime of the server, a request to change a first configuration of a PCIe compliant virtual device to a different second configuration, identifying a bridge on a PCIe topology below which the virtual device is located, issuing a simulated secondary bus reset to the bridge, the virtual device being reconfigured according to the change in configuration after the simulated secondary bus reset is issued, re-enumerating below the bridge after the change in configuration completes without rebooting the server, and updating the PCI topology with the virtual device in the second configuration. A virtual interface card adapter traps the simulated secondary bus reset, removes the virtual device from the PCI topology, and reconfigures the virtual device from the first configuration to the second configuration.
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for distributing (advertising) segment identifiers in network functions virtualization and/or software defined networking environments. An exemplary method includes receiving a route advertisement that includes a prefix with a forwarding address for a first network element and receiving a segment identifier (SID) advertisement that includes a prefix SID for the prefix. The route advertisement may be received from a second network element proxying control plane functions for the first network element. Reachability information for the first network element is updated based on the route advertisement and the SID advertisement.

Abstract: A system and method for a compressor includes a compressor connected to a condenser, a discharge line temperature sensor that outputs a discharge line temperature signal corresponding to a discharge line temperature of refrigerant leaving the compressor, and a control module connected to the discharge line temperature sensor. The control module determines a saturated condenser temperature, calculates a discharge superheat temperature based on the saturated condenser temperature and the discharge line temperature, and monitors a flood back condition of the compressor by comparing the discharge superheat temperature with a predetermined threshold. The control module increases a speed of the compressor when the discharge superheat temperature is less than or equal to the predetermined threshold.
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining locations of wireless sensor nodes in a network architecture having mesh-based features are disclosed herein. In one example, a computer-implemented method for localization of nodes in a wireless network includes causing, with processing logic of a hub, the wireless network having nodes to be configured as a first network architecture for a first time period for localization. The method further includes determining, with the processing logic of the hub, localization of at least two nodes using at least one of frequency channel overlapping communications, frequency channel stepping communications, multi-channel wide band communications, and ultra-wide band communications for at least one of time of flight and signal strength techniques. The method further includes causing the wireless network to be configured in a second network architecture having narrow-band communications upon completion of localization.
