Abstract: A context-sensitive viewing system is disclosed in which various data visualizations, also referred to a contextual views, of a common set of data may be viewed by a user on an electronic device. Data in the system may comprise data objects and associated properties and/or metadata, and may be stored in one or more electronic data stores. As a user of the system views and manipulates a first contextual view of a set of data objects, one or more other contextual views of the same set of data objects may be updated accordingly. Updates to the secondary contextual views may, in various embodiments, happen real-time. Further, the secondary contextual views may be visible to the user simultaneously with the primary contextual view. A user may switch from one view to another, and may manipulate data in any view, resulting in updates in the other views.

Abstract: A system and method for adding audio indicators, such as an audio tone, to audio data corresponding to text. The audio indicator corresponds to secondary content in text, such as a footnote. The system will insert and/or modify a textual indicator at a location in the text corresponding to the secondary content. The system will then process the textual indicator during text-to-speech processing of the text so that an audio tone is output at a moment in speech data corresponding to the location of the secondary content in the text. A speech synthesis markup language may be used to create and/or modify the textual indicator.
Abstract: There are provided processes for treating red mud. For example, the processes can comprise leaching red mud with HCl so as to obtain a leachate comprising ions of a first metal (for example aluminum) and a solid, and separating said solid from said leachate. Several other metals can be extracted from the leachate (Fe, Ni, Co, Mg, rare earth elements, rare metals, etc.). Various other components can be extracted from solid such as TiO2, SiO2 etc.

Abstract: Methods and systems to perform methods comprising receiving, at a computer system from a first electronic device a first electronic media work; extracting one or more features therefrom; determining that at least a portion of the first electronic media work corresponds to a first reference media work based on a matching of the extracted features against a database of reference features; receiving, from a second electronic device, a query related to the first electronic media work; linking the query to action information in an action database based upon determining that at least a portion of the first electronic media work corresponds to the first reference media work; generating machine-readable instructions associated with the action to be performed based at least in part on the linking of the query to the action information; transmitting, to the second electronic device, the machine-readable instructions; and logging an event associated with the machine-readable instructions.
Abstract: A training system senses a user action that may expose the user to a threat, such as a cybersecurity threat. The user action may be in response to a mock attack delivered via a messaging service, a wireless communication service, a fake malware application or another device, service, system or mechanism. The system selects a training action from a collection of available training actions and causes the training action to be delivered to the user.

Abstract: A speech-controlled appliance that provides a user with an indication of when a speech input will likely not be acted upon by the device due to a poor signal-to-noise conditions. The device may provide this indication even without a speech input, so that the user may be informed that a command will not be acted upon before speaking the command. The indication may be, for example, lighting a visual indicator on the device, and/or outputting an audible notification via a speaker. The visual indicator may be a same indicator the device uses to indicate when its microphone(s) are muted so that the user will intuitively recognize that a speech command will not be acted upon by the device.

Abstract: The present invention provides improved methods for positioning of an implantable lead in a patient with an integrated EMG and stimulation clinician programmer. The integrated clinician programmer is coupled to the implantable lead, wherein the implantable lead comprises at least four electrodes, and to at least one EMG sensing electrode minimally invasively positioned on a skin surface or within the patient. The method comprises delivering a test stimulation at a stimulation amplitude level from the integrated clinician programmer to a nerve tissue of the patient with a principal electrode of the implantable lead. Test stimulations are delivered at a same stimulation amplitude level for a same period of time sequentially to each of the four electrodes of the implantable lead.

Abstract: A method of controlling a data storage device comprising a storage medium using a storage device controller. The method may comprise receiving and providing data to be written to and read from the storage medium over a first interface of the data storage device; receiving and providing data to be written to and read from the storage medium over a second interface of the data storage device; and selectively processing at least data received and provided over the second interface through at least one of an audio codec and a video codec provided within the data storage device controller. The first interface may comprise, for example, a SAS/SATA interface and the second interface may comprise, for example, an HDMI or other high data rate interface.
Abstract: A lens cover for a firearm scope comprises a lens ring configured to mount to a lens, a cover bracket pivotally mounted to the lens ring, and a cover membrane disposed upon a portion of the lens ring and a portion of the cover bracket. When the cover bracket is in a closed position, the cover membrane creates a seal against the lens ring. The lens ring comprises an elastomeric material so as to enable mounting of the lens ring to lenses of differing diameters. The cover bracket includes a plurality of opposing mounting holes for selectively mounting the cover bracket to the adjustable lens ring.
Abstract: Hydrogenated pyrido[4,3-b]indoles, pyrido[3,4-b]indoles and azepino[4,5-b]indoles are described. The compounds may bind to and are antagonists of the adrenergic receptor ?2A. The compounds may also bind to and are an antagonist of the adrenergic receptor ?2B; or the compounds are not antagonists of the adrenergic receptor ?2B and the compounds are administered in conjunction with a second agent that reduces, or is expected to reduce, blood pressure in an individual. The compounds may find use in therapy, e.g., to regulate blood glucose level, increase insulin secretion and treat diseases or conditions that are, or are expected to be, responsive to an increase in insulin production. Use of the compounds to treat type 2 diabetes is particularly described.
