  • Patent number: 11379376
Abstract: Techniques and devices are described for embedding data in an address stream on an interconnect, such as a memory bus. Addresses in an address stream indicate at least part of a location in memory (e.g., a memory page and offset), whereas data embedded in the address stream can indicate when metadata or other information is available to lend context to the addresses in the address stream. The indication of data in the address stream can be communicated using, for example, a mailbox, a preamble message in a messaging protocol, a checksum, repetitive transmission, or combinations thereof. The indication of data can be recorded from the address stream and may later be used to interpret memory traces recorded during a test or can be used to communicate with a memory device or other recipient of the data during testing or regular operations.

  • Patent number: 11379281
Abstract: A server in a content delivery network (CDN) can examine API traffic and extract therefrom content that can be optimized before it is served to a client. The server can apply content location instructions to a given API message to find such content therein. Upon finding an instance of such content, the server can verify the identity of the content by applying a set of content verification instructions. If verification succeeds, the server can retrieve an optimized version of the identified content and swap it into the API message for the original version. If an optimized version is not available, the server can initiate an optimization process so that next time the optimized version will be available. In some embodiments, an analysis service can assist by observing traffic from an API endpoint over time, detecting the format of API messages and producing the content location and verification instructions.

  • Patent number: 11379114
Abstract: A method of operating a first data processing system having a screen for responding to a vector gesture performed on that screen is disclosed. The method includes estimating a direction and assuming an identity for the vector gesture prior to the vector gesture being completed. A command that depends on the estimated direction and assumed identity is executed, the command being a command that would be required to update a current state of the first data processing system if the assumed identity of the vector gesture is correct. The command is executed prior to the vector gesture being completed. The current state of the first data processing system is then updated based on the data generated by the command. After the vector gesture has been determined to have been completed, the first data processing system is updated to a state indicated by the completed vector gesture.

  • Patent number: 11379463
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to implement, in a database system, a database engine node that generates write tracking transactions to atomically enforce cross-page constraints for write operations. In embodiments, the database system may include multiple database engine nodes that optimistically perform page writes without checking for potential conflicts at a shared storage system. The storage system is configured to detect and report conflicting writes on the same page. To cause the storage system to report cross-page conflicts for a write, the database engine node creates a transaction that includes the write and a write tracker (WT) operation for a tracked page. The WT operation will cause the storage system to report any conflicting writes to the tracked page before the actual write is accepted by the storage system. If a reported conflict is not favorably resolved, the database engine node will abort the entire transaction, including the actual write.

  • Patent number: 11381056
Abstract: A light source has a resonant laser cavity with an optical grating and a waveguide that has a longitudinal axis. A portion of the longitudinal axis extends through the optical grating and serves as a grating axis. The laser cavity is configured to generate a laser signal that exits the laser cavity through the optical grating. The optical grating includes multiple perturbation structures that each causes a perturbation in an effective refractive index of the waveguide. The perturbation structures are staggered on the waveguide such that the perturbation structures that are adjacent to one another in a longitudinal direction are spaced apart in a transverse direction. The longitudinal direction is a direction parallel to the grating axis and the transverse direction is a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction.
