Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting covert routing is disclosed. In the method and apparatus, a plurality of first data portions addressed to a remote computer system are forwarded over a first network path, whereby each first data portion of the plurality of first data portions is associated with a computer system of a plurality of computer systems. Further, a plurality of first network performance metrics are obtained, whereby each first network performance metric of the plurality of first network performance metrics is associated with a routing of a first data portion of the plurality of first data portions over the first network path. A likelihood of covert routing is determined based at least in part on the plurality of first network performance metrics.
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, to map color of an input image pixel to a corresponding device element of a display device capable of displaying a plurality of device primary colors associated with the display element. Abstract: A method and system for identifying search terms for placing advertisements along with search results is provided. The advertisement system selects a description of an item that is to be advertised. The advertisement system then retrieves documents that match the selected description. The advertisement system generates a score for each word of the retrieved documents that indicates relatedness of the word to the item to be advertised. After generating the scores for the words, the advertisement system identifies phrases of the words within the documents that are related to the item. The advertisement system then generates search terms for the item to be advertised from the identified phrases. The advertisement system submits the search terms and an advertisement to a search engines service for placement of a paid-for advertisement for the item.

In some embodiments, the opening is configured to allow a biological sample to be introduced into the semiconductor device. In some embodiments, the vertical shielding structures comprise a plurality of vias, wherein each of the plurality of vias connects more than one conductive layers together.
Abstract: Multilayer films comprise polypeptide epitopes from RSV. The multilayer films are capable of eliciting an immune response in a host upon administration to the host. The multilayer films include at least one designed peptide that includes one or more polypeptide epitopes from RSV. Specifically, the multilayer films include two polypeptide epitopes from RSV, such as an epitope that elicits a specific T-cell response such as a cytotoxic T-cell response, and an epitope that elicits a specific antibody response.
Abstract: An optical system comprises a detector to determine one or more intensities of light impinging on one or more locations of the detector and an optical element to redirect light towards the detector along a detection axis. The detector and optical element are coupled together by three or more substantially flat flexures respectively defining three or more flexure planes parallel to the detection axis.
Abstract: According to various aspects, exemplary embodiments are disclosed of systems and methods related to Bluetooth assisted cooperative scan and roam for wireless networks. In an exemplary embodiment, a cooperative scan and roam Bluetooth system generally includes one or more Bluetooth nodes configured to transmit node roam table data and/or a universally unique identifier (UUID) to one or more client devices having a stored client roam table and connected to at least one of multiple access points of a wireless network. This allows the one or more client devices to update their stored client roam tables based on the transmitted node roam table data and/or roam table information obtained from a server and/or cache including multiple roam tables, based on the UUID.

Abstract: An ion implantation system is provided having an ion implantation apparatus configured to provide a spot ion beam having a beam density to a workpiece, wherein the workpiece has a crystalline structure associated therewith. A scanning system iteratively scans one or more of the spot ion beam and workpiece with respect to one another along one or more axes. A controller is also provided and configured to establish a predetermined localized temperature of the workpiece as a predetermined location on the workpiece is exposed to the spot ion beam. A predetermined localized disorder of the crystalline structure of the workpiece is thereby achieved at the predetermined location, wherein the controller is configured to control one or more of the beam density of the spot ion beam and a duty cycle associated with the scanning system to establish the localized temperature of the workpiece at the predetermined location on the workpiece.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating one or more user interfaces that enable filtering of the contents of a collection of items based on user interaction with item images. For example, an initial configuration can be generated including image thumbnails corresponding to each of a number of items. One or more of the thumbnails may be selected by a user to indicate a desired filter range. When a user interacts with the thumbnails, for example, by selecting a thumbnail or range of thumbnails, the initial configuration and/or an associated collection of items for presentation may be updated to present images of items in the selected filter range.
Abstract: Functionality is disclosed herein for using a context sensitive framework to identify relevant applications to a current context and to provide data received from the relevant applications to a user. Instead of a user having to manually locate and launch an application, relevant applications determined by a contextual service may provide data in response to receiving the context data. The applications that are identified as relevant to the context determine the application data to provide to the contextual service. The contextual service selects at least a portion of the application data to provide for display within a user interface. In some configurations, the selected application data is displayed within a user interface that maintains a same look and feel regardless of the application data that is displayed.

A plurality of radio frequency identification (RFID) tags may be energized with an electromagnetic field emitted from an RFID reader, wherein individual ones of the plurality of RFID tags comprise a unique identifier. A signal strength reader may detect a change in a signal strength corresponding to the RFID tag. The RFID reader may then identify the unique identifier of the RFID tag in response to detecting the change in the signal strength corresponding to the RFID tag.
