Abstract: A processor includes processor memory arrays including one or more volatile memory arrays and one or more Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) arrays. Volatile memory locations in the one or more volatile memory arrays are paired with respective NVM locations in the one or more NVM arrays to form processor memory pairs. Process data is stored for different processes executed by at least one core of the processor in respective processor memory pairs. Processes are executed using the at least one core to directly access the process data stored in the respective processor memory pairs.
Abstract: Memory cells are disclosed. Magnetic regions within the memory cells include an alternating structure of magnetic sub-regions and coupler sub-regions. The coupler material of the coupler sub-regions antiferromagnetically couples neighboring magnetic sub-regions and effects or encourages a vertical magnetic orientation exhibited by the neighboring magnetic sub-regions. Neighboring magnetic sub-regions, spaced from one another by a coupler sub-region, exhibit oppositely directed magnetic orientations. The magnetic and coupler sub-regions may each be of a thickness tailored to form the magnetic region in a compact structure. Interference between magnetic dipole fields emitted from the magnetic region on switching of a free region in the memory cell may be reduced or eliminated. Also disclosed are semiconductor device structures, spin torque transfer magnetic random-access memory (STT-MRAM) systems, and methods of fabrication.

Abstract: The present invention is an artificial diamond production device. A reaction chamber has a window. The diamond holder has a focus area facing toward the window. The microwave transmitting module is disposed outside the reaction chamber and has a microwave generator, a focusing-lens assembly, and a focusing mechanism. The microwave generator emits the microwave into the diamond holder via the window. The focusing-lens assembly is disposed between the diamond holder and the microwave generator. The focusing mechanism is connected to the focusing-lens assembly and a distance between the focusing-lens assembly and the microwave generator is changed by the focusing mechanism to focus the microwave on the focus area to improve the efficiency of producing artificial diamonds.
Abstract: Techniques are described for establishing connectivity between compute instances hosted by an edge location of a cloud provider network (also referred to as a provider network substrate extension (PSE)) deployed within a communications service provider (CSP) network and the communications service provider network. A compute instance is hosted on a PSE of a cloud provider network, the PSE connected to a CSP network. A first network address is assigned to the compute instance from a pool of network addresses of the CSP network. A gateway of the PSE is updated to direct packets addressed to the first network address to the compute instance.

Abstract: Several aspects of the present technology are directed toward fan-out packaged semiconductor devices having an integrated shield to protect against electromagnetic interference and methods of manufacturing such devices. The shield can be constructed by forming a conductive wall on a redistribution structure and disposing a conductive cap on an upper surface of an encapsulant. The conductive wall and the conductive cap are electrically connected to each other. By forming the conductive wall directly on the redistribution structure and separately disposing the conductive cap onto an upper surface of the encapsulant, an electromagnetic shield can be readily formed using wafer-level or panel-level processing techniques that are efficient and cost-effective. Several embodiments of semiconductor devices in accordance with the present technology accordingly shield the integrated circuitry of semiconductor dies from electromagnetic interference.
Abstract: Representative apparatus, method, and system embodiments are disclosed for a self-scheduling processor which also provides additional functionality. Representative embodiments include a self-scheduling processor, comprising: a processor core adapted to execute instructions; and a core control circuit adapted to automatically schedule an instruction for execution by the processor core in response to a received work descriptor data packet. In a representative embodiment, the processor core is further adapted to execute a non-cached load instruction to designate a general purpose register rather than a data cache for storage of data received from a memory circuit. The core control circuit is also adapted to schedule a fiber create instruction for execution by the processor core, and to generate one or more work descriptor data packets to another circuit for execution of corresponding execution threads.
Abstract: An industrial visualization system generates and delivers virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) presentations of industrial facilities to wearable appliances to facilitate remote or enhanced interaction with automation systems within the facility. VR presentations can comprise three-dimensional (3D) holographic views of a plant facility or a location within a plant facility. The system can selectively render a scaled down view that renders the facility as a 3D scale model, or as a first-person view that renders the facility as a full-scale rendition that simulates the user's presence on the plant floor. Camera icons rendered in the VR presentation can be selected to switch to a live video stream generated by 360-degree cameras within the plant. The system can also render workflow presentations that guide users through the process of correcting detected maintenance issues.

Abstract: Techniques for performing entity resolution as part of natural language understanding processing are described. During offline operations, a system may convert text (representing entities known to the system) into audio of various languages. The languages into which the text is converted may depend on the location where the entity is likely to be spoken by users of the system. At runtime, the system processes a user input using text-based entity resolution. If text-based entity resolution fails, the system may identify user speech corresponding to an entity to be resolved, and attempt to phonetically match the user speech to the audio of the known entities. Results of the phonetic entity resolution may then used by downstream components, such as skills.
