Patents Assigned to TGW Logistics Group GmbH
  • Patent number: 10322876
Abstract: A method for storing piece goods of different dimensions in storage channels conveys the goods to the channels using a piece goods receiving device movable along the channels in an x direction and into the channels using a transport device extendible into the channels in a z direction. The goods are stored tightly-packed in the channels. A width dimension of the goods is detected and the goods are assigned to the different width classes. The goods are supplied to a pick-up station selectively according to width classes using a conveying system, then transferred to the receiving device, and using the transport device a group of goods is moved from the receiving device into the channel simultaneously in a storage direction and in a depth direction of the channel so that a lateral wall of the rearmost good in the storage direction is substantially flush with the channel end edge.

  • Patent number: 10239704
Abstract: A method combines conveyor streams on a conveying technology element having a number of ingoing conveyor segments at least one coupling to an outgoing conveyor segment on which the ingoing conveyor segments are brought together, and a number of holding devices for holding a conveyor flow on the ingoing conveyor segments. In addition, a number of release devices disposed downstream of the ingoing conveyor segments logically connected to an OR-connection are provided for releasing a holding device or a conveyed object. A holding device or a conveyed object waiting at the holding device is then respectively released when a conveyed object preceding the waiting conveyed object in a sorting order passes one of the connected release devices or when there is no preceding conveyed object. A conveying technology element carries out the method.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for bundling conveyed streams on a material handling element (Ka . . . Kz, K1 . . . K34) comprising a number of incoming conveyor segments (1a, 1b), at least one coupling (2) to an outgoing conveyor segment (3), on which the incoming conveyor segments (1a, 1b) converge, and a number of holding devices (4a, 4b) for holding a conveyed stream on the incoming conveyor segments (1a, 1b). In a first step the conveyed objects (17) are vectorially combined in in ascending/descending order according to a desired sorting sequence. When a conveyed object (17) passes the material handling element (Ka . . . Kz, K1 . . . K34) a vector corresponding to the actual sequence is entered in the vector combination. Conveyed objects (17) are released if a ring with a constant direction is avoided in the vector combination. The invention further relates to a material handling element (Ka . . . Kz, K1 . . . K34) for carrying out said method.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a system intended for delivering items (4) in delivery containers (3) and in which, in a supply depot (1), the items are order picked, in accordance with orders placed, into delivery containers and then the delivery containers are loaded onto a transport rack (12). The transport rack is loaded with the delivery containers in a loading sequence determined by the computer system (2). Thereafter, the transport racks are transported, by means of a transport system, from the supply depot to a buffer depot (collection depot). A consignee (68) can collect the ordered item from the buffer depot at an issuing station (56). The transport rack is positioned, in the buffer depot, against a docking apparatus (54) such that a storage and retrieval unit (17) can access compartments in the transport rack.

  • Patent number: 9421580
Abstract: A picking system for picking articles from storage loading aids in order loading aids has first and second conveyor systems for supplying and discharging the storage loading aids and the order loading aids, and a picking station having diverting conveyor systems. The first diverting conveyor system connects a transfer section of the first conveyor system for the storage loading aids via a first transport path to a pick-up section of the second conveyor system. The second diverting conveyor system connects a transfer section of the first conveyor system for the other loading aids via a further transport path to a pick-up section of the second conveyor system for the order loading aids. During further transport of the loading aids along the transport paths in the region of the diverting conveyor, the leading ends of the loading aids always form the front end of the loading aids in the transport direction.
