  • Publication number: 20230270415
Abstract: An acoustic imaging system responsive to an acoustic wave emitted from an object is disclosed. The system detects a deflection angle of an electromagnetic probe beam as it passes through a coupling element. The coupling element also couples the acoustic wave emitted from the object to an acoustic detector. The probe beam deflection angle is related to an angle of propagation of the acoustic wave through the coupling element. A filtering unit is configured to remove components of the signal from the acoustic detector that are outside of a range of angles, thereby improving the angular resolution of the acoustic detector. The acoustic wave may be generated by an acoustic source, such as an ultrasound transmitter, or an electromagnetic source such as a laser.

Abstract: Various embodiments are described that relate to an adaptive learning system. The adaptive learning system can be trained by correlation between a first set of raw technical performance data and a set of actual operational effectiveness assessment data. Once trained, the adaptive learning system can be deployed. Once deployed, the adaptive learning system can produce a set of predicted operational effectiveness assessment data from a second set of raw technical performance data that is different from the first set of raw technical performance data.

  • Patent number: 11729659
Abstract: A cross-layer security scheme can be used for a Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) antenna-based large-scale multihop mobile ad hoc network (MANET) with a set of frequency-nonselective, slow/Rayleigh fading, and uncoded channels along with interference combining both physical, link, and higher layer encryption techniques for the payload in addition to signaling. Furthermore, MIMO-aware cross-layer secure MANET physical and key-based logical hierarchical routing proving scalability can be used. Security can be provided in Multi-Hop MIMO MANETs in Physical, medium access control (MAC), and internet protocol (IP) Routing layer. The MIMO-aware MANET IP Routing can include two kinds of routing: Physical Routing such as secure ad-hoc on-demand distance vector (SAODV) in the access MANET and Secure Key-based distributed hash table (DHT) “logical” routing in the backbone MANET. Both security and performance metrics can be employed to improve (e.g., optimize) both network secrecy and throughput/bandwidth capacity.

  • Publication number: 20230224018
Abstract: A portable communication system for use in hostile and unknown environments. The system has a base station for control by an operator. The base station dispatches one or more unmanned drones into the hostile environment, where a forward agent, such a robot or investigative person can approach a suspected threat. Each drone has a payload of repeaters to be delivered as necessary to maintain line of sight communication from the forward agent back to the base station. Once delivered, the repeaters are mobile and can autonomously reposition to maintain or optimize line of sight communication. Communications from the forward agent back to the base station are then interpreted and analyzed for further action.

Abstract: Various embodiments are described that relate to failure determination for an integrated circuit. An integrated circuit can be tested to determine if the integrated circuit is functioning properly. The integrated circuit can be subjected to a specific radiation such that the integrated circuit produces a response. This response can be compared against an expected response to determine if the response matches the expected response. If the response does not match the expected response, then the integrated circuit fails the test. If the response matches the expected response, then the integrated circuit passes the test.
