  • Patent number: 4064901
Abstract: An accessory device attachable to a vehicle for pumping gasoline from the attached vehicle into a portable tank or into the gasoline tank of a disabled vehicle. The device includes a flexible hose permanently connected by a valve to the supply tube in the attached vehicle leading from the gasoline pump to the carburetor of the vehicle; together with a fixture mountable in the interior of fender of the attached vehicle about which the hose may be wound, when not in use. A valved outlet nozzle is mounted to the free end of the hose. The valve unit joining the hose to the vehicle supply tube is in the form of a tee connection with a rotatable valve cock that serves to connect the supply tube from the pump only to the carburetor tube or alternately to join the supply tube to both the carburetor tube and to the flexible hose.

  • Patent number: 4061293
Abstract: A balloon filled with buoyant gas provides the major part of the required lift. A pair of spaced rings are supported by a rigging having a plurality of lines supported by the upper half of the balloon at approximately the vertical center of the balloon. Each of a pair of helicopter blade units is rotatably mounted on a corresponding one of the rings. A frame is supported by the rigging beneath the balloon and has a passenger's bicycle type seat mounted thereon, a pedal-operated sprocket wheel rotatably mounted thereon and a plurality of landing wheels rotatably mounted thereon. The sprocket wheel is coupled to the helicopter blade units in a manner whereby a passenger seated in the seat and pedalling the sprocket wheel in any position between central and forward positions contrarotates the torque-balancing blade units for providing additional lift and forward propulsion force. A rudder is movably mounted on the frame and is controlled in direction by the passenger for directing the aircraft in flight.

  • Patent number: 4058892
Abstract: A food decorating instrument for cutting pieces of fruit, vegetables, and the like, in a predetermined pattern, comprises first and second arms pivotally affixed to each other by a pivot pin in the manner of a pair of pliers. Each of the arms has a jaw end in the area of the pivot pin and a handle end spaced from the pivot pin. A spring mounted on the arms urges the jaw ends of the arms apart. An internally threaded bore is formed in the jaw end of the first arm. A plate-like member is affixed to the jaw end of the second arm. A mold member is removably threaded to the jaw end of the first arm via the bore thereof so that when a slice of fruit, vegetable, and the like, is interposed between the jaw ends and manual pressure is applied to force the jaw ends together, the cutting edge of the mold member cuts out a piece thereof in the predetermined pattern.

  • Patent number: 4058927
Abstract: A shaped container has a fishing weight or sinker installed and a flat plate extends radially about a compartment in which the sinker is mounted. Holes in the plate provide optional mounting means for a fishing line passing through one of said holes and joined to the sinker in the container and to a fishhook leader extending externally away from the compartment. A fish hooked to the leader, in attempting to drag the sinker through weeds or rocks lying on the bottom of the water is drawn upwards by the reaction of the water against the flat plate, and away from the bottom.

  • Patent number: 4057927
Abstract: A wire spring is attached near the top of the fishhook and is hooked under the barb of the hook. The shape of the spring is such that the spring stays hooked under the barb until a fish bites the hook to prevent the barb from getting stuck in weeds. After a fish bites, the movable end of the spring becomes forcibly disengaged from the barb, pushing the hook point into the fish's mouth.
