Abstract: A frame for bordering conduit access through a building floor has a rigid body portion and a lining of intumescent material on an interior surface of the rigid body portion. The intumescent material has sufficient expansion capacity to close off the opening through the frame under conditions which produce an intumescing of the lining. The rigid body portion itself is preferably made of a metallic material to enhance transfer of heat energy from the rigid body portion to the lining of the frame.
Abstract: A duct to receive duct wrap is provided with a plurality of posts at different locations on and upstanding from the post to protrude through the duct wrap. Wrap retainers fit onto the post over the duct wrap securing the duct wrap on the duct.
Abstract: For overhead folding doors which are molded from plastic, the panels have a front wall formed at its upper edge in a slightly recessed arcuate tenon and providing at the bottom a recessed area behind a bottom edge. The panels are adapted to be hingedly connected with the bottom edge of an upper panel following a path in close proximity to the tenon of a lower panel to provide a pinch proof hinging arrangement.
Abstract: An internal support system for a hollow plastic post comprising a rigid column on to which the post can be sleeved, a member secured to the lower end of the column for securing same upright, and at least one support bracket attachable to the column at a selected point and configured to be received into the lower end of the post to provide internal support for a post sleeved on the column and over the bracket.
Abstract: Door sections for an overhead folding garage door formed by assemblying rows of panels with transverse styles with elongated top and bottom rails cut or selected to the length of the door opening, the panels and the styles and the rails having interengaging means whereby the panels and styles are connected to the rails.
Abstract: A coupler which is used in coupling plastic conduit through a separation in a building has plastic end regions for an overlapped accurately positioned sealed coupling with the plastic conduit to each end of the coupler. The plastic end regions are separated by an intermediate region formed by a wall of plastic based intumescent material which defines a fluid flow passage through the coupler. The fluid flow passage wall has a sufficient thickness of the intumescent material to produce a complete blockage of the passage when the coupler is subjected to conditions which cause an intumescing of the intermediate region wall material.
Abstract: A prefabricated plastic shed having a roof formed with plastic panels sloping upwardly to a central ridge having their upper ends supported by a ridge beam assembly comprising a metal beam and a plastic sleeve member sleeved on, supported by and encasing the metal beam. The plastic sleeve member including panel supporting shelves for supporting the upper ends of the roof panels.
Abstract: Fiber reinforced composite plastic materials for use in injection and compression molding and extrusion processing produced from waste materials, the composite material includes an effective amount of high melting point polymer fiber material and a sufficient amount of low melting point plastic material to coat and bind the high melting point fiber material together and method of producing same.
Abstract: Injection molded casement window frames completely ready for assembly into windows with the frames for swinging sash windows formed for mounting of all necessary hardware. Also hardware which mates with such frames and casement window assembled with such frames and hardware.

Abstract: An evestrough hanger bracket has a main bracket member and a separately made secondary bracket member. The main bracket member has front and rear end evestrough clips with the front end clip having a fastener member fitting opening. The secondary bracket member which slideably locks into engagement with the main bracket member has a tubular guide to receive the fastener member in the form of a mounting screw or nail. The guide of the secondary fastener member presents an elongated bore which aligns with and terminates at the opening through the front clip of the main bracket member.
Abstract: A window which comprises a hollow mullion plastic extrusion and a metal insert. The plastic extrusion is of a general T-shape having a hollow head portion and a hollow foot portion connected by a hollow stem portion which is open to both the hollow head and foot. The metal insert is of general T-shape having a head portion of the plastic extrusion, a stem portion to extend through the hollow stem of the plastic extrusion to support same and a foot portion to fit within and expand the hollow foot portion of the plastic extrusion.

Abstract: A doorlite system in which a doorlite is mounted in an opening in a door by means of an outer frame and an inner frame adapted to be screwed together, the outer frame has a body portion for insertion into the door opening from the outer side of the door, a flange for engaging the door around the perimeter of the opening and a flange for engaging the glazing unit or doorlite. Similarly, the inner frame has a body portion for insertion into the door opening from the inner side of the door and has a flange to engage the door around the perimeter of the opening and a flange for engaging the doorlite. The bodies of these frames having interengaging registering means extending continuously therearound. Further, the inner frame has a groove on its exterior side to house the heads of the securing screws and a snap on frame is provided to cover the screw heads.
Abstract: A trim member is made from a single piece of trim material. The trim material has a plurality of spaced apart cut out regions which divide the trim member into a plurality of trim sections. These trim sections are connected to one another by thin strips of the trim material in each cut out region. The strips are bendable and the cut out regions are shaped to enable a reconfiguring of the trim member from a lineal to a trim border forming configuration for use around a door, a window or a windowed wall area of a building wall.
Abstract: A frame for supporting steel cladding panels of steel clad doors and doors formed therewith, the frames comprising a pair of jambs connected by headers and sills, each jamb comprising a molded channel of composite plastic material having within the channel integral bracing extending between the channel side walls.
