  • Patent number: 9163710
Abstract: In a hollow wave gear device, a rigid internally toothed gear and a wave generator are disposed adjacent along a center axis line so as to enclose a cylindrical barrel part of a flexible externally toothed gear from the outside. A pushed cylindrical portion adjacent to an external-tooth-formed cylindrical portion of the cylindrical barrel part is pushed from the outside and made to flex into an ellipsoidal shape by the wave generator disposed on the outside thereof, whereby external teeth partially mesh with internal teeth of the rigid internally toothed gear. The inside diameter dimension of a hollow part can be the inside diameter of the cylindrical barrel part of the flexible externally toothed gear, and a hollow wave gear device can be achieved which is formed with a hollow part having a large inside diameter.

  • Patent number: 9167403
Abstract: A protocol converter or translator between ANSI-41 ORREQs and VoIP V2 messaging. The protocol converter may alternatively (or also) provide conversion between GMS MAP and VoIP V2 messaging. Interaction of VSPs with a Mobile Positioning Center (MPC) or a Gateway Mobile Location Center (GMLC) is permitted, as is interaction of wireless carriers with a Voice Positioning Center (VPC). In this way existing GMLCs or MPCs may be used to service VoIP 9-1-1 calls. Moreover, operators of Voice Positioning Centers (VPCs) who implement wireless offerings can re-use their existing VPCs to service wireless 9-1-1 calls.

  • Patent number: 9163421
Abstract: Devices and methods for inhibiting movement of automatic pool cleaners (APCs) are described. Versions of the devices may cause pool water to bypass flowing through bodies of APCs. Alternatively, they may cause water flowing though bodies of APCs to bypass the associated motive force creators. The devices thus may constitute idler mechanisms, as they effectively prevent movement without requiring operation of the ultimate driver (i.e. the pump) to cease.

  • Patent number: 9164969
Abstract: Disclosed is a method, system, and computer program product for implementing efficient access to stream data. The present approach implements a stream reader that supports either reading the entire layout (e.g., loading the contents of the user-specified top cell and all its progeny) into memory, or just a portion of it (e.g., loading only the contents of the user-specified top cell and its progeny that overlapped a user-specified bounding box). Some approaches provide a mechanism to implement parallelized or multithreaded reads of the stream data.

  • Patent number: 9166302
Abstract: Arrangement of resonators in an aperiodic configurations are described, which can be used for electromagnetic cloaking of objects. The overall assembly of resonators, as structures, do not all repeat periodically and at least some of the resonators are spaced such that their phase centers are separated by more than a wavelength. The arrangements can include resonators of several different sizes and/or geometries arranged so that each size or geometry corresponds to a moderate or high “Q” response that resonates within a specific frequency range, and that arrangement within that specific grouping of akin elements is periodic in the overall structure. The relative spacing and arrangement of groupings can be defined by self similarity and origin symmetry. Fractal based scatters are described. Further described are bondary condition layer structures that can activate and deactive cloaking/lensing structures.

  • Patent number: 9167278
Abstract: An automatic content recognition (ACR) enabled display communication device that is operable to receive and consume content from a linear feed and a corresponding IP-based feed. The linear feed and the IP-based feed includes one or more content identifiers that identify similar content within the linear feed and the IP-based feed and also includes one or more corresponding automatic content recognition triggers. The ACR-enabled display communication device determines a first content identifier that is associated with a first content in the linear feed that is being consumed and requests IP segments in the IP-based feed that corresponds to the determined first content identifier and switches from consuming content in the linear feed to consuming content in the requested IP segments. The ACR-enabled display communication device stores the determined first content identifier and receives the requested IP segments from a remote server.

  • Patent number: 9165788
Abstract: The methods and apparatus disclosed herein concern a process that may be referred to as a “soft anneal.” A soft anneal provides various benefits. Fundamentally, it reduces the internal stress in one or more silicon layers of a work piece. Typically, though not necessarily, the internal stress is a compressive stress. A particularly beneficial application of a soft anneal is in reduction of internal stress in a stack containing two or more layers of silicon. Often, the internal stress of a layer or group of layers in a stack is manifest as wafer bow. The soft anneal process can be used to reduce compressive bow in stacks containing silicon. The soft anneal process may be performed without causing the silicon in the stack to become activated.

  • Patent number: 9166787
Abstract: Securing encrypted virtual hard disks may include a variety of processes. In one example, a virtual hard disk is created for a user and encrypted with a volume key, and the volume key placed in an administrator header. The administrator header may be encrypted with a protection key, the protection key created from a user identifier corresponding to the user, a volume identifier corresponding to the virtual hard disk, and two cryptographic secrets. The protection key may then destroyed after encrypting the administrator header and therefore, might never leave the encryption engine. The two cryptographic secrets may be stored in separate storage locations, one accessible to the user and the other accessible to administrators. Accordingly, the protection key might never transmitted or can be intercepted, and no single entity may be compromised to gain access to all of the information needed to recreate the protection key.

  • Patent number: 9164897
Abstract: An architecture of a NAND Flash memory module interface controller (NAND-controller) provides access to data stored in an external NAND Flash memory module, and a method of booting firmware. NAND-controller automatically boots firmware from the NAND Flash memory into primary RAM of a system-on-a chip used for GNSS receivers. NAND-controller has a first external interface to connect NAND Flash memory, a second external interface to set parameters of booting firmware, and two internal interfaces: a high-speed one (system interface) and a low-speed one (control interface) to be connected to two types of SoC internal busses. Data exchange between the CPU and NAND Flash memory is implemented using a static RAM buffer which is a part of the NAND-controller and available for reading and writing via high-speed interface. Parameters of the first external interface are set and current state of data exchange process is controlled by the CPU.

  • Patent number: 9165104
Abstract: A method for automatically performing a double patterning (DP) color-seeding check in order to discover color-seeding violations in an IC design layout. The method of some embodiments receives a layer of the IC design layout and performs an analysis on the layer of the design layout to determine several error paths. Each error path connects two color-seeding shapes that have a color-seeding violation. For each pair of shapes that has a color-seeding violation, the method of some embodiments displays a DP color-seeding violation marker on a graphical user interface (GUI) to visually assist a user to resolve the color-seeding violation.

  • Patent number: 9167276
Abstract: An automatic content recognition (ACR) enabled display communication device may present a linear advertisement campaign. A second screen communication device (SSCD) that is paired with an ACR-enabled display communication device, may detect when content associated with a linear advertisement campaign is available for display on the SSCD. A location of the SSCD may be determined when the SSCD detects that the content associated with the linear advertisement campaign is available for display. The SSCD may customize content for presentation in order to offer one or more products and/or services to a viewer of the SSCD based on the determined location. The SSCD determines assets that are required and/or utilized for the customization of the content so that it may be presented on the SSCD. The SSCD may acquire the determined assets from one or more servers and control presentation of the content based on information corresponding to the acquired assets.
