Abstract: An integrated vascular delivery system having a frame configured to receive a catheter insertable in a patient to deliver fluid at an insertion site. The frame includes a first hub, a second hub, and a pair of flexible lateral members extending between the hubs and including a tubular lateral member. The system also includes a fluidic channel that fluidically communicates with the catheter, wherein the fluidic channel passes through the tubular lateral member and at least one of the hubs, and includes a fixed turnabout portion in which fluid flows in a direction different from that within the catheter. The first and second hubs provide anchoring points on the patient distributed around the insertion site and on opposite ends of the catheter, thereby anchoring the frame to the patient and stabilizing the catheter. A method is provided for using an integrated vascular delivery system.

Abstract: A method of generating valid vertical interconnect positions for a multiple layer integrated circuit including multiple layers stacked vertically above one another and having a bonding interface between at least one pair of layers. The interface is formed by the coupling of a pair of conductive bond patterns formed on facing surfaces of the pair of layers. The method includes defining a candidate transformation origin, defining a sub-region which tessellates across the patterns, applying a predetermined transformation to the patterns at the bonding interface, determining the validity of the candidate transformation origin in dependence on coincidence of at least a subset of the patterns with the transformed patterns, selecting a valid transformation origin, and defining a set of valid vertical interconnect positions associated with the valid transformation origin at positions in the bonding interface where the original and transformed patterns coincided with each other.

Abstract: One aspect of the invention provides a theft detection node including: a power source; an accelerometer; a gyroscope; a transmitter; and a microcontroller in communication with the power source, the motion detector, and the transmitter. The microcontroller is programmed to determine whether the theft detection node is being transported and, if the theft detection node is being transported: estimate the distance traveled between successive stops and transmit the estimated distance to a server. Another aspect of the invention provides a method of determining a path traveled by a node. The method includes: generating a Hidden Markov Model having a plurality of hidden states, each hidden state corresponding to a road segment; receiving information from the node about one or more turns and the distance traveled between successive stops; and determining the most likely path for the distance between successive stops and a distance between successive turns.

Abstract: Methods of making a photovoltaic device with an organic liquid precursor having electron donor, electron acceptor, and liquid carrier are provided. The liquid precursor is applied to an electrode. A gas permeable layer/stamp contacts and applies pressure to the organic liquid precursor removing liquid carrier to form a solid active material with uniform interpenetrating network domains of electron donor/acceptor materials. A two-step process is also contemplated. A liquid precursor with either electron donor or acceptor is applied to an electrode, contacted under pressure with a first stamp having a nanoscale pattern, thus forming a solid with a patterned surface. Then, a second liquid precursor with the other of the electron donor or acceptor is applied to the patterned surface, contacted with a second stamp under pressure to form the active material. A transparent conducting electrode with material nanograting can be formed. The methods also include continuous processing, like roll-to-roll manufacturing.
