Abstract: The present disclosure provides a device for monitoring oil pressure in an oil cylinder of a diaphragm compressor, including a piston rod and a strain gauge circuit. The strain gauge circuit includes a strain gauge component and a bridge circuit connected, and the strain gauge component is arranged on the surface of the piston rod. A strain gauge component is noninvasively arranged on the piston rod of the diaphragm compressor to measure the load of the piston rod, such that the oil pressure can be measured indirectly, and thus the oil pressure of the diaphragm compressor can be measured nondestructively. Nondestructive and noninvasive monitoring of the diaphragm compressor is safe and reliable, and can achieve accurate monitoring of the oil pressure especially in high-pressure working conditions.
Abstract: A traffic regulation system and method which combines energy harvesting from the movement of a plurality of vehicles on a roadway with wireless directional power beam transmission using the harvested energy to encourage compliance with traffic regulations. Electric power is generated from the movement of the moving vehicles by using a wind turbine to harvest wind energy from the movement of vehicles or by piezoelectric plates which harvest compression energy from the weight of the vehicle tires on the road surface. The electric power is transmitted to electric or hybrid vehicles which comply with the traffic regulations. The traffic regulations are one of driving at a posted speed and driving at a safe following distance. A control system adjusts the traffic regulation based on measurements received from a plurality of detectors.

Abstract: Methods of treating propionic acidemia (PA), methylmalonic acidemia (MMA) and fatty acid oxidation disorders are described. The methods include administering an anaplerotic agent that can directly enter the tricarboxylic acid cycle, such as a succinate derivative or pro-drug, for example trisuccinylglycerol (TSG). Methods of restoring tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle function in a cell deficient for propionyl-CoA carboxylase (PCC) or methylmalonyl-CoA mutase (MUT) by contacting the cell with a succinate derivative or pro-drug, such as TSG, are also described.

Abstract: Provided herein are compositions and methods for modifying regulatory T cells. The inventors have identified nuclear factors that influence expression of Foxp3, a key transcriptional regulator of Treg cells. Treg cells can be modified by inhibiting and/or overexpressing one or more of these nuclear factors to produce stabilized Treg cells or destabilized Treg cells.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide an absorptive coupled-line bandpass filter. This bandpass filter includes a first port, which is coupled to a first absorptive stub, and a second port, which is coupled to a second absorptive stub. The bandpass filter also includes a coupled-line bandpass section coupled between the first and second ports, wherein the coupled-line bandpass section comprises a set of one or more parallel strip line resonators, which are coupled together in series and are coupled to the first and second ports through overlapping coupled-line sections, wherein at a center frequency of a passband for the absorptive coupled-line bandpass filter, the first and second absorptive stubs appear as open circuits, and outside of the passband, the first and second absorptive stubs appear as matched loads to ground and contribute to absorption of out-of-band signals.

Abstract: The invention relates to liposomes, methods of producing liposomes, and methods of loading cell-derived liposomes with cargo molecules. The invention extends to such liposomes per se, and to the use of these liposomes as cellular delivery systems for the delivery of biologically and therapeutically active payload molecules, such as small molecules, RNAi molecules (e.g. siRNA), bioactive proteins, genome editing tools (e.g. Cas9) and drugs into cells for treating a range of disorders. The liposomes may also be used in a range of diagnostic and theranostic applications. The invention extends to pharmaceutical compositions comprising such liposomes, including populations of extracellular vesicles (EV), exosomes and to fusion proteins.
Abstract: An automatic coal mining machine and a fluidized coal mining method are provided. A first excavation cabin is configured to cut coal seam to obtain raw coal and to be transported to a first coal preparation cabin for separating coal blocks from gangue. Then, the obtained coal blocks are transported to a first fluidized conversion reaction cabin. The first fluidized conversion reaction cabin converts the energy form of the coal block into liquid, gas or electric energy, which is transported to a first energy storage cabin for storing. Coal mining and conversion are carried out in underground coal mines, so it is not necessary to raise coal blocks to the ground for washing and conversion, thereby reducing the transportation cost of coal, improving the utilization degree of coal, and avoiding the pollution of the ground environment caused by waste in the mining and conversion process.
