    Abstract: An electrical splice enclosure for enclosing a splice of an electrical cable. The splice enclosure includes an enclosure housing. The housing is formed of a lower housing portion and a cover portion defining a bounded interior therein. The lower housing portion includes a bottom surface, an upwardly extending wall bounding the bottom surface and an open upper surface opposite the bottom surface. The lower housing portion further includes a cable entry opening through the wall for permitting entry of the cable into the lower housing portion. The cover portion is positionable over the open upper surface of the lower housing portion so as to enclose the cable splice within the enclosure housing. The cover portion and the wall each include an encapsulant fill opening for permitting the housing interior to be gravity filled with a curable encapsulant, with the housing being positioned in multiple different positions.

    Abstract: A cover is employed with an edge mount electrical header connector to secure the header connector to a printed circuit board during soldering. The header connector includes plural electrical contacts supported in an insulative housing. The contacts include extending solder tails for engagement with solder pads of the printed circuit board. The cover includes an elongate insulative body for attachment to the header connector. The body of the cover includes gripper arms extending therefrom and being in spaced opposition to the extending solder tails. The solder tails and the gripper arms form a space therebetween for receiving an edge of the printed circuit board. The gripper arms and solder tails retain the printed circuit board edge so as to permit secure soldering of the solder tails to the solder pads of the printed circuit board.

    Abstract: A roadway luminaire is provided which includes a mast mount docking sation securable to an end of a pole mast. The mast mount docking station includes a power plug electrically coupled to the power conductors. The luminaire includes a corresponding power plug which is electrically and mechanically coupled to the mast mount docking station via a twist-lock feature including mating keys and keyways in the docking station and luminaire, respectively. The luminaire includes several plug-in components such as a plug-in photoelectric cell, a plug-in starter and a capacitor pressfit into a molded cavity in the luminaire. The power plug of the luminaire is adaptable to be used with all international voltages. The twist-lock feature provides for a foolproof mechanical and electrical connection to ensure that the correctly rated luminaire is connected to the supply voltage.

The channel members having adjacent facing surfaces, one of the surfaces having a gripping element for engaging the other surface. A mounting apparatus for attaching the outlet box to the fastening element. Upon securing the outlet box to the fastening element, the facing surfaces are urged together and the gripping element engages the other facing surface thereby restricting movement between said members. Additionally, an attachment member coupled to each opposed end of the support bar is provided.

    Abstract: An electrical disconnect for use with an appliance includes a base assembly and a pull-out head assembly. The base assembly includes an insulative housing having isolated compartments therein. Within the compartments are mounted wire connectors for receiving load and line conductors. The head assembly includes a handle on a top surface thereof and contacts extending downwardly from a bottom surface thereof. The head assembly is selectively positionable within the base assembly so that the electrical contacts of the head assembly electrically couple the line and load conductors associated with the wire connectors. The contact of the head assembly directly contacts a side portion of the line and load wire connectors, respectively. The electrical disconnect also includes a series of wire guides associated with each wire connector. The wire guide includes a tapered opening to assist in guiding conductors into the wire connectors.
