Abstract: An anaerobically curable composition having a good stability and suitable for use primarily as an adhesive, which comprises a radically polymerizable acrylate and/or methacrylate monomer, and a naphthyl azoxine. The composition is satisfactorily stable even if a large amount of an inorganic filler is used therein.
Abstract: A container is disclosed herein for containing a two part composition consisting of two components in a container with said components isolated in such a manner that they are not mixed with each other. The two components are preserved in an isolated relation to each other prior to use, and if intended to be used, they are mixed together and then placed into service. At least one of said components is jellied by addition of a viscosity modifier thereinto.
Abstract: Material Supply Equipment in which a cylindrical container constructed with a substantially straight side all the way to the bottom receives a plastic bag filled with a high viscosity fluid to be pumped. A planar cover plate for the container has an outer diameter closely fitting the inside surface of the container to press the plastic bag therebetween and has a central suction hole. A suction pump is provided having a planar suction plate which can be lowered onto the planar cover plate. The planar suction plate has a plurality of suction holes which register with the central hole of the cover plate encircled by an "O" ring groove and "O" ring to prevent dripping and infusion of air, respectively.
Abstract: A process for sealing pipes which comprises feeding a sealant of aerosol type thereinto in the form of foams so as to keep the inside thereof at a pressure of 0.05 kg/cm.sup.2 or more, the sealant containing an aqueous resin selected from the group consisting of emulsions and latexes as a main component and being added with a propellant.The process enables complete prevention or preparing of leakage of fluid in pipes such as gas pipings by a simple operation.

Also disclosed is a new catalyst system for curing ring compounds (e.g. epoxides) which comprises a combination of ferrocene and a diazonium salt of a Lewis acid. Preferred curable compositions are adhesives and especially acrylic adhesives and epoxy adhesives.

Abstract: Micro-capsules are prepared by dispersing a composition comprising a hydrophobic acrylate or methacrylate monomer or oligomer capable of polymerization upon exposure to ultraviolet light, a photosensitizer, and a UV screening agent in water containing a dispersant to form a colloidal dispersion, and exposing the dispersion to UV light to cause the colloidal particles to cure only at their surface. The resulting microcapsules have a core of the uncured acrylate or methacrylate monomer or oligomer encapsulated with a wall layer of the cured acrylate or methacrylate.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a display device for displaying the function of a switch or the like. A body is formed with a cavity, and a sheet bearing a display is then positioned in the bottom cavity. The cavity is then filled with a transparent synthetic epoxy resin with a poly-oxy-propylene-amine for curing. Preferably a small amount of the material is placed on the bottom of the cavity before the display sheet is installed in order to secure the sheet to the bottom and prevent it from warping after the remaining resin is added.
Abstract: A cylinder liner for liquid-cooled engines having a bandlike sealant on the outer-surface thereof wherein the sealant is formed by a two-layer laminate of silicone resin having a completely cured inner layer and a half-cured outer layer. This cylinder liner has an excellent sealing effect.
