According to one embodiment, an information processing program causes a computer of an information communication device that communicates with one or more information processing devices to execute information processes, and the information processes include: acquiring device information output from the information processing device; generating a first device list based on first information on the information processing device and second information on an imaging device corresponding to the information processing device, included in the device information; and outputting the first device list to a display unit of the information communication device.
Abstract: A tag writing device includes a conveying unit, an antenna, an acquiring unit, a determining unit, a selecting unit, and a deciding unit. The acquiring unit acquires reception intensities about a plurality of wireless tags. The determining unit determines an intermediate position between a start position and an end position as a position where a sum of reception intensities acquired while a mount is conveyed from the start position to the intermediate position and a sum of reception intensities acquired while the mount is conveyed from the intermediate position to the end position are closest. The selecting unit selects, as a target tag, the wireless tag, the intermediate position of which is determined as a position within a prediction range. The deciding unit decides a relative positional relation between the wireless tag and the antenna at a time when writing is performed.
Abstract: A sheet conveying device includes an aligning roller and a sheet guide. The aligning roller is configured to rotate in a forward direction along a sheet conveying direction, and stop rotation or rotate in a reverse direction to align a sheet conveyed thereto with a nip formed with the aligning roller. The sheet guide is disposed along a sheet conveyance path extending to the nip in the sheet conveying direction, and movable between a first position at which the sheet conveyance path has a first width in a thickness direction of the sheet and a second position at which the sheet conveyance path has a second width in the thickness direction less than the first width. The sheet guide is at the first position when the aligning roller stops rotation or rotates in the reverse direction and at the second position when the aligning roller rotates in the forward direction.

The processor is configured to determine whether or not a promotion is offered, and determine whether or not an electronic receipt is issued. The processor is further configured to control a printer to print an image indicating the promotion on a paper slip with the first image layout, when it is determined that the promotion is offered and the electronic receipt is not issued, and control a communication interface to transmit promotion data of the promotion in a text format, when it is determined that the promotion is offered and the electronic receipt is issued. The promotion data includes a form identifier of the first image layout and does not include the first form data.

Abstract: A heating unit includes a cylinder which rotates about an axis parallel to a first direction. A heater has a first surface abutting on an inner surface of the cylinder at a nip position. A support member is on a second surface of the heater and also contacts the cylinder. A first heating element is in the heater at a first position along the first direction. A second heating element in the heater is at a second position spaced from the first position. A first temperature sensor is above the first position. A locking portion of the heater is at a third position along the first direction. The locking portion engages the support member and restricts movement of the heater in the first direction. The first position is near a first outer edge of the cylinder. The second position is closer to a central portion of the cylinder.
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a temperature control device stores a fixing device temperature estimation value and a storage time obtained by WAE control in a memory at any time during operation. After an electric power supply to the temperature control device is stopped, the next time the electric power supply is started, an electric power supply stop period until the electric power supply is started is calculated. If the electric power supply stop period is shorter than a set time, the WAE control is started by using the stored fixing device temperature estimation value, and if the electric power supply stop period exceeds the set time, the WAE control is started based on an initial set value.
Abstract: A method is provided for linking Multi-Function Printers (MFPs) and Bar-Code Printers (BCPs). When the BCP is in a non-functional mode and the BCP receives a command file to be printed, the BCP cannot print the command file. In such scenario, the BCP converts the file to a predefined format understandable by the MFP and sends the file to the MFP over a predetermined communication channel. The MFP prints the requested file. When the BCP receives a command file to be printed in a format not understandable by BCP, the BCP cannot print the command file as the command file. Thus, the BCP sends the command file to the MFP and the MFP converts the command file to a data file in a format understandable by BCP and returns it to the BCP. The BCP prints the data file.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and a printer driver unit for printing variable copies of a plurality of pages in a document. In an embodiment, a user input comprising a number of copies of the plurality of pages to be printed is received from a user. Further, the user input is parsed to determine the plurality of pages to be printed and the number of copies that each of the plurality of pages to be printed. Thereafter, the content of each of the plurality of pages is retrieved from a temporary file or a memory associated with the printer driver unit and printed with the help of a printer device. Accordingly, the present disclosure allows users to print variable copies of plurality of pages on a single print action, and thereby enhances speed of printing and ensures optimal usage of resources.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, a printer includes a thermal head with a plurality of heaters. A memory device stores utilization information indicating a status or cumulative usage amount of the thermal head. A processor is configured to acquire a measured resistance value for each of the heaters in the plurality of heaters and detect whether the thermal head has been changed since a previous use based on differences in the measured resistance values from reference resistance values. If it is detected that the thermal head has been changed, the processor updates the utilization information in the memory device to indicate the thermal head has been replaced.
