Abstract: An isolation valve includes a dead chamber, including a body with a fluid-passing conduit, a device for obturating the fluid passage in the conduit, which may be actuated between a fluid-passing position and a position for obturating the fluid passage in the conduit. In its obturation position, the obturation device forms a dead chamber. A wall of the obturation device comprises a through-hole, in which is positioned a device for decompression of the dead chamber. A hydrocarbon transport facility includes at least two pipes connected through such an isolation valve with a dead chamber.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to additive compositions and their use for improving the low temperature properties of motor fuels and fuels. The additive compositions include at least one modified alkylphenol-aldehyde resin and at least one filterability additive chosen from: the terpolymers of C4 to C22 alkyl (meth)acrylate, C20 to C24 alpha-olefin and maleimide N-substituted by a hydrocarbon chain having between 4 and 30 carbon atoms, the homopolymers of C1 to C40 alkyl (meth)acrylate, preferably the C8 to C24 alkyl polyacrylates, the ammonium salts of mono- or poly-carboxylic acid comprising at least one linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon chain, having between 4 and 30 carbon atoms. The present disclosure also relates to compositions of motor fuels or liquid hydrocarbon fuels including such compositions.
Abstract: A propylene-comonomer block copolymer may have a molecular weight distribution Mw/Mn of at least 1.7, a percentage of enthalpy measured between Ti and [Tm?18° C.] of at least 20% of the total enthalpy, and a ratio E1/Co of at least 0.80. The propylene-comonomer block copolymer may be produced by polymerizing propylene in the presence of at least one comonomer and a bridged metallocene catalyst. The bridged metallocene catalyst may include bridged fluorenyl, bridged indenyl metallocene, or any combination thereof. The propylene-comonomer block copolymer may be used as a heat seal layer for biaxially oriented multi-layer films.
Abstract: A process to make a composition that includes a monovinylaromatic polymer and a dispersed phase of polymer made from renewable resources may include forming a polymerizable mixture. The polymerizable mixture may include a monomer or dimer dispersed in a monovinylaromatic monomer, and optionally a rubber dissolved in the monovinylaromatic monomer. The process may include contacting a catalyst with the polymerizable solution at conditions effective to produce a polymer dispersed in the monovinylaromatic monomer. The process may include polymerizing through a radical pathway the solution, optionally in the presence of a free radical initiator and a chain transfer agent, to obtain a monovinylaromatic polymer that includes a dispersed phase. The process may include degassing to separate unpolymerized monomers and comonomers, and recovering a composition of monovinylaromatic polymer.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for purifying synthesis gas, comprising at least one stage for separating the crude synthesis gas to be treated into at least two effluents, namely a first part and a complementary part, in which the said first part is subjected to a carbon monoxide conversion stage with steam and the said complementary part is subjected to a COS and HCN catalytic hydrolysis stage, the two gas flows, namely the first part and complementary part, are then each treated separately in two stages intended to remove acid gases such as CO2 and H2S, by washing with aqueous solutions of specific amines, before a recombination stage of the two treated effluents.

Abstract: A process for the conversion of an alcohol mixture to make propylene may include introducing into a reactor a stream that includes the alcohol mixture. The alcohol mixture may include 20 to 100 weight percent isobutanol. The process may include contacting the stream with a single catalyst at a temperature above 450° C. in the reactor at conditions effective to dehydrate the isobutanol, forming C4+ olefins, and to catalytically crack the C4+ olefins. The single catalyst may be an acid catalyst adapted to cause both the dehydration and the catalytic cracking. The process may include recovering from the reactor an effluent that includes ethylene, propylene, water, and various hydrocarbons. The process may include fractionating the effluent to produce an ethylene stream, a propylene stream, a fraction of hydrocarbons having 4 carbon atoms or more, and water.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system for the electronic management of a photovoltaic generator, said system comprising a plurality of n static converters (11, 12, 13) connected in parallel, each converter (11, 12, 13) being electrically connected to at least one photovoltaic cell (10) of the generator. The rubber particles may have a volume median particle size (RPS volume) ranging from 7 ?m to 10 ?m, a monomodal distribution, a ratio of RPS volume to surface median particle size (RPS surface) that is below 2, a crosslinking of the rubber expressed as a swell index (SI) above 13.8, and a rubber phase volume fraction (RPVF) of at least 39%. Abstract: A process includes preparing a diluted catalyst slurry in a catalyst slurry preparation system. The diluted catalyst slurry contains solid particulate catalyst and liquid hydrocarbon diluent. The catalyst slurry preparation system includes a mixing vessel with a top part, a bottom part and a rotatable impeller system which is actuated by a motor. The rotatable impeller system has a magnetic actuated agitator shaft which is positioned along a longitudinal axis of the mixing vessel and extends through the top part of the mixing vessel. Abstract: Disclosed is a method for characterising the evolution of a reservoir by determining a seismic wavelet which links observed seismic data to a sequence of reflectivities. The method comprises obtaining seismic data (200) representing seismic changes which have occurred between a first time and a second time, said seismic data comprising a plurality of seismic traces; and performing an optimisation operation simultaneously (230) on the seismic traces so as to optimise for said seismic wavelet. The optimisation operation may be performed without using known reflectivity data as an input.

Abstract: A process for the dehydration of an alcohol having at least 2 carbon atoms to make a corresponding olefin may include introducing in a reactor a stream (A) containing the alcohol, optionally water, and optionally an inert component. The stream (A) may be contacted with a catalyst in the reactor at conditions effective to dehydrate at least a portion of the alcohol to make the corresponding olefin. The process includes recovering from the reactor an olefin containing stream (B). The catalyst may be a crystalline silicate, dealuminated crystalline silicate, or phosphorus modified crystalline silicate, each of the group FER, MWW, EUO, MFS, ZSM-48, MTT or TON having Si/Al ranging from 25 to 90. The weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) of the alcohol may be at least 4 h?1. The temperature may range from 280° C. to 600° C., or from 320° C. to 600° C.
