  • Patent number: 7633495
Abstract: The invention provides a low power multiplexer configuration in a display panel and a display panel and an electronic device using the same. The multiplexer conducts one of source output signals into to red (or green or blue) sub-pixels under control of control signals. In every time a frame is scanned or changed, the red (or green or blue) sub-pixels driven by the source output signal via the multiplexer are always in the same signal polarity, so the multiplexer consumes low power because voltage swing rates in source output signals are very low or almost zero.

  • Publication number: 20090273572
Abstract: A touch sensor input device includes a first and second array of electrodes, the electrodes in the first array being orthogonal to the electrodes in the second array. A capacitor sensing arrangement senses an electrode capacitance signal which varies in the presence of a touch input. The capacitance signals for groups of electrodes in each array are combined in order to derive respective individual sense signals. This arrangement has electrodes with a finer resolution than the sensing resolution, and this gives improved ability to sense accurately the position of the touch input.

  • Publication number: 20090272978
Abstract: An image display system and manufacturing method are disclosed. According to the present invention, the image display system comprises a substrate, a switching TFT, a driving TFT, a photo sensor and a capacitor. A buffer layer is formed on a substrate. A separation layer is formed in a first area for forming a switching TFT, but no heat sink layer is formed thereon. A heat sink layer is formed on a second area for forming the driving TFT, the photo sensor and the capacitor, and then, the separation layer is formed thereafter. The present invention can form poly silicon layers with different crystal grain sizes on the first area and on the second area in a single laser crystallization process by utilizing the heat sink phenomenon of ELA with or without the heat sink layer. Therefore, the image display system of the present invention can operate with good luminance uniformity.
