    Abstract: An LCD device comprises upper substrate, lower substrate, and a liquid crystal (LC) cell disposed therebetween. The LC cell comprises liquid crystals. According to the present invention, in the LCD device which applies voltage to the liquid crystals to control transmissive light for proceeding display, the liquid crystals are applied with a voltage larger than a predetermined voltage for proceeding display. The reflect light and the transmissive light of the liquid crystals are the predetermined color under a condition without applying the voltage thereto.

A grain size of the first crystallization zone is smaller than a grain size of the second crystallization zone. The first electrode corresponding to the first crystallization zone is disposed on the silicon film layer. The reflecting layer corresponding to the second crystallization zone is disposed on the transparent substrate. The silicon film layer is disposed on the transparent substrate and the reflecting layer.

    Abstract: A method of fabricating a bonding structure having compliant bumps includes first providing a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate includes first bonding pads. The second substrate is disposed on one side of the first substrate and includes second bonding pads and compliant bumps disposed thereon. The second bonding pads are opposite to the first bonding pads. Next, a non-conductive adhesive layer and ball-shaped spacers are formed between the first and the second substrates. Finally, the first substrate, the non-conductive adhesive layer, and the second substrate are compressed, such that the compliant bumps on the second bonding pads of the second substrate pass through the non-conductive adhesive layer and are electrically connected to the first bonding pads of the first substrate, respectively. The ball-shaped spacers are distributed in the non-conductive adhesive layer sandwiched between the first and the second substrates for maintaining the gap therebetween.

    Abstract: A driving method for a liquid crystal display device and an over-drive correction device, which can perform proper overdrive control in various operating environments. The over-drive correction device includes a dummy liquid crystal unit embedded in the liquid crystal display device, a liquid crystal capacitive sensor to detect a capacitance (dielectric constant) of the dummy liquid crystal unit, a calculation circuit for lookup tables, an overdrive lookup table, a prediction lookup table and an overdrive circuit. The calculation circuit for lookup tables corrects data in the over-drive lookup table and the prediction lookup table according to the detection result generated from the liquid crystal capacitive sensor. The over-drive circuit performs over-drive control in the liquid crystal display device based on the newly corrected over-drive lookup table and prediction lookup table.

    Abstract: A source driver circuit of an LCD apparatus with a small occupied area and low power consumption is disclosed. The source driver circuit comprises a reference voltage circuit, a negative voltage driving DAC, a positive voltage driving DAC, an invert amplifier, a non-invert amplifier and a voltage selector. The reference voltage circuit generates a reference voltage. The negative voltage driving DAC divides the display data into negative gradation voltages. The positive voltage driving DAC divides the display data into positive gradation voltages. The invert amplifier works as an analogue buffer for the negative gradation voltages for driving the LCD apparatus and the non-invert amplifier works as an analogue buffer for the positive gradation voltages for driving the LCD apparatus.
