Abstract: A satellite receiver which can selectively inhibit the reception of radio wave of the improper program. This receiver comprises: a receiver unit; a reproducer unit to reproduce the signal received by the receiver unit; a control unit including (a) a first memory to store the designated transponder number, (b) a second memory to store the transponder number which is parental locked, and (c) a generator to generate a parental lock signal when the memory contents of the first and second memories coincide; and means for disabling the signal from the designated transponder to be reproduced by the reproducer unit in response to the parental lock signal. With this receiver, the radio wave from the designated transponder cannot be received.
Abstract: A time division multiplex transmission system for time division multiplexing a plurality of information signals having different sampling frequencies and transmitting the time division multiplexed signal by one transmission path. The system includes the steps of: rearranging the plurality of information signals so as to have a format of the time division multiplexed signal by use of a reference sample signal which has a frequency obtained by multiplexing the maximum frequency or a frequency higher than the maximum frequency among the sampling frequencies of the plurality of information signals by the number of the plurality of information signals; and interposting a dummy signal into the portion where there is no available information signal.
Abstract: A satellite receiver which selects one of radio waves from a plurality of satellites and receives the selected radio wave. This receiver comprises; a satellite number designation switch; an antenna controller for allowing a parabola antenna to face the designated satellite in accordance with the designation by the designation switch; a memory to store the data corresponding to a correction amount of the position of a probe for each satellite; a drive motor to drive the probe to the position corresponding to the data outputted from the memory; and a control circuit to allow the data for the satellite designated by the designation switch to be supplied from the memory to the drive motor. The probe position is corrected in accordance with the designated satellite.
Abstract: In the radio communication system for performing a communication in the idle channel selected from a plurality of frequency channels, the originating call station transmits the station identification code to specify the distant station together with the idle channel data to be actually communicated, and the distant station designated by the station identification code shifts to the designated idle channel, and the communication is executed between two stations. During communication in a certain channel between two stations, in the case where a radio interference occurs in this channel and it is intended to shift to other channel, one station transmits the other channel data in the communication channel and the other station receives it, and the communication is continued each other in the other channel.
Abstract: A frequency synthesizer includes a 1/N divider for generating an address clock signal the frequency of which is 1/N times the frequency of an input signal, a memory for storing samples in a unit sine and cosine wave which is read out in response to the address clock signal to produce a frequency deviation signal, and a quadrant modulator responsive to both of the input signal and frequency deviation signal for producing an output signal the frequency of which is the difference between the input signal and frequency deviation signal. The frequency of the frequency deviation signal is varied by digitally changing N to modify the frequency of the output signal while maintaining the continuousness of the output signal phase.
Abstract: A time division multiplexed signal demultiplexing system for regenerating original signals from a time division multiplexed signal which is obtained by time-division multiplexing information signals of N channels with mutually different sampling or clock frequencies by means of a reference clock signal of a frequency equal to N times of the highest one of the sampling or clock frequencies or an even higher frequency and inserting a dummy signal and a dummy flag bit in pairs in the portion where the information signal is lacking.

Abstract: A method of forming diamond-like carbon layer which is advantageously adaptable as a coating layer on acoustic diaphragms. In the method, carbon vaporized out of solid carbon source is deposited onto the surface of the diaphragm as the coating layer in the atomosphere of catalystic gas, for instance, H.sub.2 +Ar or H.sub.2 of about 10.sup.-4 Torr. The deposited carbon layer on the surface of the diaphragm is an amorphous carbon of inclusion of hybridized orbital SP.sup.2 bond and hybridized orbital SP.sup.3 bond and crystalline carbon particles of hybridized orbital SP.sup.3 bond dispersed in the amorphous carbon, or an amorphous carbon of inclusion of hybridized orbital SP.sup.2 bond and hybridized orbital SP.sup.3 bond.

Abstract: Information producing apparatus for producing position and direction information of chip-like electric parts for use in the chip mount system. This apparatus comprises: a tablet digitizer; X and Y axis position memories to store the X and Y axis position data of the cursor; a menu position memory to store the position of the menu drawing which is divided into many menu spots and is attached on the tablet; a menu spot memory in which data corresponding to the menu spots is stored; a discrimination unit to discriminate whether the cursor is located within the menu drawing or not; and an arithmetic operation unit to calculate the menu spot position corresponding to the cursor position when the cursor exists in the menu drawing. When the cursor is out of the menu drawing, the readout data from the X and Y axis position memories is used as the position information on the printed wiring board of the chip-like electric parts to be installed.
Abstract: A power supply circuit having rectifiers and selectable first to n-th power supply voltage terminals for supplying various levels of output voltages. Between respective terminals and an earth, first smoothing capacitors (e.g. C.sub.1 -C.sub.4) are connected. Between i-th terminal and (i-1)-th terminal (wherein, 2.ltoreq.i.ltoreq.n), second smoothing capacitors (e.g. C.sub.5, C.sub.6, C.sub.n, C.sub.n-1) are connected. When i-th terminal is selected, not only capacitance of the first smoothing capacitor connected between the i-th terminal and the earth, but also capacitance of the first capacitor connected between the (i-1)-th terminal and the earth and the second capacitor connected between the i-th and (i-1)-th terminals are utilized for smoothing operation.
Abstract: An FM demodulator having a phase comparator, a low-pass filter and a VCO including a variable capacitance diode, an input signal being applied to the phase comparator and a demodulated output signal being taken from the low-pass filter. The FM demodulator further includes a compensating circuit consisting of a non-linear element connected between the demodulated output terminal and the VCO, whereby the secondary distortion in the output signal to be caused due to the non-linearity of the variable capacitance diode is canceled.
Abstract: There is disclosed a distortion cancel circuit in FM stereo receiver, which circuit synthesizes a canceling signal mainly including the distortion component by performing the arithmetic operation for an FM demodulation signal and adjusts the level of this synthesized canceling signal and thereafter subtractively combining it with the FM demodulation signal. This circuit enables the elimination of harmonic distortion which appears in the stereo MPX signal output due to the band characteristic of an intermediate frequency amplifier.

Abstract: There is provided an improvement of an FM demodulator of the PLL system including a VCO, a phase comparator and a low-pass filter, whereby the distortion components of the FM demodulated signal to be caused due to nonlinearity of the frequency vs. control voltage characteristic of the VCO are eliminated. This improved FM demodulator of the PLL system includes a circuit for making the harmonic distortion components from the output signal of the low-pass filter and synthesizing them with the output signal of the low-pass filter so as to obtain the non-distorted FM demodulated signal.
Abstract: In a distortion canceller to remove the distortion of a demodulated signal in an FM receiver, the n-th power of the demodulated FM signal is produced and then differentiated to derive an n-th order distortion signal. The derived n-th order distortion signal is adjusted in its amplitude level and then combined with the demodulated FM signal so that the n-th distortion component can be cancelled.
Abstract: A stereo multiplex circuit which can reduce a distortion of an FM demodulated signal to be generated due to nonlinearity of the frequency vs. amplitude/phase characteristics of a band-pass filter at an intermediate frequency amplifier stage of an FM receiver. This circuit includes a circuit for multiplying signals consisting of right-channel and left-channel signals and for adjusting the level of this multiplication signal into a suitable magnitude and thereafter inserting into the right and left channels, thereby causing a harmonic distortion to disappear.

Abstract: In converting a staircase waveform signal into a smoothed analog signal, this circuit can perform the high-quality conversion without any sophisticated lowpass filter. An input staircase signal is delayed for one stepping interval to produce a differential signal which represents a stepping height at each step, by taking the difference between the input staircase signal and the one stepping interval delayed version thereof. The differential signal is integrated at every stepping interval. The integrated voltage forms a sawtooth wave signal which is in turn additively combined with the one stepping interval delayed version of the input staircase signal. The resulted combined signal is a smoothed signal of the input staircase signal.
Abstract: A variable frequency passband circuit comprising two passband filters and three mixers (front, intermediate and output mixers) connected in a cascade fashion disposed in a signal path. Two VCOs inject frequency signals into the front mixer and the output mixer. The two VCOs are respectively controlled by control signals at two potentiometers through transfer switching means so that the synthetic passband of the filter may be varied. One potentiometer suppresses the higher frequency region of a baseband signal and the other potentiometer suppresses the lower frequency region of the base band signal, irrespective of USB or LSB receiving mode.
