Patent number: 8423398Abstract: With respect to a current quarter of unreported revenue for certain Internet companies, by processes performed by a computer revenue to date is analytically determined and future revenue for the remaining quarter is statistically projected by modeling revenue based on “Internet metrics”. Actual revenue performance is obtained and one or more “Internet metrics” are measured for a given Internet company. Using the revenue and measured Internet metric data from prior quarters, a regression analysis is performed in order to generate multiple models that reflect the relationship between the Internet metrics and revenue. From these models, one is selected that will most likely yield the best revenue estimates. This resultant model and current Internet metric data are subsequently used to estimate the company's revenue for the current day, week, month, or quarter. These estimates are also used to project the company's revenue for future days, weeks, months, and quarters.Type: GrantFiled: October 19, 2007Date of Patent: April 16, 2013Assignee: TTI Inventions C LLCInventors: Fu-Tak Dao, Ricardo Martija, Thomas Spacek, Samaradasa Weerahandi

Patent number: 8346794Abstract: Input data queries directed at a plurality of target databases and originating from any of a plurality of sources are first converted to validated canonical forms, which are then used to query the target databases. Specifically, upon receiving an input data query, a relatively accurate reference database is selected based on the type of the input data. This reference is then queried for the input data with the intent of finding an exact matching record or a near-matching record that can be considered an exact match and thereby validating the input data. Otherwise, the requesting source is instructed to provide a new query. Once having a validated record, it is converted to a canonical form, which is then used to query the target databases intended to be searched. In a further embodiment, multiple reference databases are queried to determine a canonical form of the data or to determine multiple canonical forms of the data.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 2010Date of Patent: January 1, 2013Assignee: TTI Inventions C LLCInventors: Kong Eng Cheng, Munir Cochinwala, Dennis E. Patent number: 8340206Abstract: An adaptive wireless multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system switches among two or more modes of operation including Uninformed Transmitter (UT) and Informed Transmitter (IT) modes based on channel conditions as reflected in a set of metrics including a temporal selectivity metric (TSM) indicative of the temporal dynamics of the MIMO channel. In an exemplary embodiment, the adaptive MIMO system uses a dominant eigenmode IT mode of operation if a signal-to-noise ratio is below a threshold, otherwise, the system uses an IT mode or a UT mode based on the TSM. If the TSM indicates a channel that is changing too rapidly for feedback to be effective, the UT mode is used, otherwise the IT mode is used. Overall system capacity in time varying MIMO channels is thereby improved.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2010Date of Patent: December 25, 2012Assignee: TTI Inventions D LLCInventors: Carol C. Patent number: 7978647Abstract: The invention is addressing the problem of efficient formation and maintenance of piconets with assistance from the master of an already existing piconet. The master of an existing piconet initiates the formation of a new helper piconet by at least two of its slaves. One of the slaves of the existing piconet becomes the master of the newly formed helper piconet and the other slave becomes a slave of the helper piconet. This process can be used to expand the number of Bluetooth devices that can use an Internet access point. It can also be used to permit two slave devices to communicate directly with one another so as not to unnecessarily use bandwidth available through the master. Finally, the method and system could be used to provide a method of efficient hand-off from one piconet to another.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2007Date of Patent: July 12, 2011Assignee: TTI Inventions C LLCInventors: Farooq Anjum, Ravi Jain, Maria Adamou

Patent number: 7890164Abstract: An shaped iontophoresis device is capable of permeating an active agent (e.g., a drug solution) into an oral cavity, a skin cancer, or the like by iontophoresis in a pinpoint manner. A catheter-type iontophoresis device includes a small working electrode assembly and a small non-working electrode assembly at the tip of a holding portion. A first ion exchange membrane and a fourth ion exchange membrane at the tips of the assemblies are brought into close contact with a target area so that a drug solution is permeated by iontophoresis in a pinpoint manner. The working electrode assembly and the non-working electrode assembly are attached to the tip of a rod-shaped member. The rod-shaped member is detachable from the tip of the holding portion, and is exchangeable integrally with the portion. Patent number: RE43704Abstract: A graph of a network is created by efficiently modeling the network elements, and the network links and virtual trunks that interconnect these elements. The network elements are model as one or more routing nodes wherein each routing node represents part of an element or a set of one or more elements, and has the characteristic that any ingress and egress ports of the network element or network elements associated with the routing node can be interconnected. The network links and virtual trunks are both modeled as routing links, wherein routing links interconnect the routing nodes to create the graph of the network. The graph is subsequently used for determining routing paths through the network for the provisioning of virtual trunks and circuits.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2009Date of Patent: October 2, 2012Assignee: TTI Inventions A LLCInventors: Sanyogita Gupta, Richard Ferrer, Raj C.
