Abstract: A lighting apparatus for use in a tool carrier includes a conduit made of a translucent material. The conduit defines a conduit path sized to extend along a perimeter of a tool carrier floor. Light sources are disposed in the conduit and are electrically connected to a power source retained by the tool carrier. The lighting apparatus provides light to the inside of the tool carrier.

Abstract: A lanyard attachment assembly has a sleeve with an inside surface and an outside surface. The inside surface defines a passageway through the sleeve. A strap passes through the passageway and forms a closed loop to link the closed loop to the sleeve. The assembly optionally includes a connector with a connector opening therethrough. When the assembly includes a connector, the strap passes through the connector opening where the closed loop links the connector to the sleeve.

Abstract: A drop-prevention pouch for a cordless power tool has a battery pack that defines a battery pack perimeter. The drop-prevention pouch includes a pouch floor and a pouch sidewall extending transversely from the pouch floor and having a sidewall rim portion defining a pouch opening. The pouch floor and the pouch sidewall define a chamber sized to receive the battery pack when the battery back is attached to the cordless power tool. A flexible conduit extends along the sidewall rim portion. A drawstring extends through the flexible conduit and is capable of restricting the pouch opening to be smaller than the battery pack perimeter, thereby preventing the drop-prevention pouch from being removed from the battery pack when the battery pack is attached to the cordless power tool.
Abstract: A tool lanyard wrist cuff includes a fixed closed loop band and an adjustment tab extending therefrom. A first fastener part of a releasable fastener is fixedly attached to a loop outside surface of the closed loop band. The adjustment tab has a tab inside surface, a tab outside surface, and a distal end portion. The adjustment tab has a second fastener part of the releasable fastener fixedly attached to the tab inside surface of the distal end portion. The second fastener part is configured for releasable engagement with the first fastener part when the adjustment tab is folded with the tab inside surface against the loop outside surface to position the second fastener part in engagement with the first fastener part. A lanyard connector is secured to the distal end portion of the adjustment tab.
Abstract: An attachment system for tools includes a housing, a rotating member having a sloping surface and a catch surface disposed in an open central region of the housing, and a clip member having a clip protrusion with a head and neck portions where the neck portion is sized to be slidably receive in one of a first and second slot of the housing where each slot extends through a wall of the housing to the open central region. The clip protrusion engages the sloping surface causing the rotating member to rotate about a central longitudinal axis to a point as the neck portion moves distally along one of the slots where a catch surface aligns with the clip protrusion and where a channel aligns with a clip protrusion of a second clip member retained in the second slot, thereby retaining the first clip member and releasing the second clip member.

Abstract: A tape measure holder includes a holder body having a first side panel, a second side panel, a bottom panel, a first top portion, a second top portion, a forward-edge portion, a rearward-edge portion, a back end panel and a front strap. A securing mechanism has a first securing portion and a second securing portion connected to or integrally-formed with the first top portion and a second securing portion for interlocking the first top portion to the second top portion. The front strap extends between the forward-edge portion of the first side panel and the forward-edge portion of the second side panel and is positioned adjacent to but spaced a predefined distance from the bottom panel. The holder body is sized and configured to receive a tape measure in a snug manner with the first top portion overlapping the second top portion.

Abstract: A shackle assembly has a body that includes a first side member with a first side aperture, a second side member with a second side aperture, and at least one end portion extending between and connecting the first side member and the second side member. At least one of the apertures defines an annular recess. A pin has a first end portion received in the first side aperture, a second end portion received in the second side aperture, and a pin body extending between the first end portion and the second end portion. At least one end portion of the pin defines an annular groove corresponding to the annular recess(es). A retaining ring with a pair of open ends is seated in the annular groove and extends radially into the corresponding annular recess, thereby preventing the pin from being removed from the body.

Abstract: A tool lanyard wrist cuff includes a fixed closed loop band and an adjustment tab extending therefrom. A second fastener part releasably engages a first fastener part when the adjustment tab is folded with a tab inside surface against a loop outside surface. A lanyard connector assembly includes a lanyard connector, a breakaway lanyard connector strap releasably connected to the closed loop band by a releasable fastener and fixedly connected at a first end to the adjustment tab or the closed loop band adjacent the adjustment tab.
