    Abstract: A circuit board mounted connector is equipped with an insulative housing, which holds a plurality of rows of contacts and is mounted on a circuit board. Each contact has a contact portion, for contacting another connector, and a leg portion, which is connected to the circuit board. Each leg portion has an extending portion that extends from a rear wall of the insulative housing; a flexible portion, which is formed continuously with the extending portions; and a linear portion that extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the circuit board from the flexible portion and is connected to an aperture of the circuit board. Of the plurality of rows of contacts, at least the row closest to the circuit board has extending portions that extend away from the circuit board, up to the flexible portions. The linear portions of each of the leg portions are partially tin plated.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a connector housing having a contact engaging section with contacts which engage mating contacts, and a wire holder holding wires connected to the contacts. The connector cover is capable of moving between partially engaged position and fully engaged position. The partially engaged position is the position in which a rear end of the wire holder is housed in and the fully engaged position is the position in which the rear end of the wire holder projects from a rear end opening. The connector housing has a first engaging section engaging a mating connector in the partially engaged position. The connector cover has a second engaging section engaging the first engaging section and restraining disengagement of the first engaging section from the mating connector in the fully engaged position.

    Abstract: An electrical connector comprises an insulating housing and first contacts secured to the housing. Each of the first contacts has the same shape and includes a housing securing member, a contact member extending from a first end of the housing securing member, and a circuit board connecting member extending from a second end of the housing securing member that is offset from the contact member. The first contacts are arranged such that adjacent circuit board connecting members of the first contacts are arranged at substantially the same pitch. A plurality of the first contacts is inverted by substantially 180 degrees, and the contact members of the first contacts inverted by substantially 180 degrees and adjacent contact members of the first contacts not inverted by substantially 180 degrees are arranged at a pitch different from the pitch of the circuit board connecting members.

The contact arm has a contact portion with a contact point at an uppermost end. The contact portion overlaps with the contact arm of an adjacent one of the contacts. First partition walls separate the contact receiving openings in a direction substantially perpendicular to a direction in which the contact arms extend. The uppermost ends are arranged below tops of the first partition walls.

Each of the signal contacts has a contact area and a base formed opposite from the contact area, which is electrically connected to a lead end of the axial lead component. An insulative inner housing has a main body portion that receives the signal contacts. The main body portion has a substantially concave component housing region proximate the base of the signal contact that receives a main body of the axial lead component. An insulative spacer formed separate from the inner housing is attached to the main body portion proximate the component housing region. The spacer has a groove with a metal terminal plate disposed therein that is electrically connected to another lead end of the axial lead component. The spacer attached to the inner housing is selected according to the dimensions of the axial lead component.

At least one barrier wall is formed between the first and second contacts that separates the first contacts from the second contacts. A mating connector has an insulating mating housing provided with first and second mating contacts and a positioning recessed member that receives the positioning guide. A barrier wall recessed member is formed between the first and second mating contacts that separates the first mating contacts from the second mating contacts. The barrier wall recessed member receives the barrier wall when the electrical connector is mated with the mating connector. A shutter member is provided on the mating connector and is moveable between an upper position and a lower position. The shutter member covers the first and second mating contacts in the upper position.
