    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a gel polymer electrolyte for a lithium-air battery containing a zwitterion salt in a specific amount and to a lithium-air battery including the same and thus having a prolonged battery lifetime, thereby suppressing volatilization of the electrolyte and imparting the lithium-air battery with interfacial stability by inhibiting the formation of dendrites at a lithium anode and suppressing side reactions between the lithium anode and the liquid electrolyte. Moreover, the use of the zwitterion salt can improve the lithium-ion transference number, thereby increasing the lifetime of the battery.

    Abstract: The frequency stability of an optical local oscillator is improved by locking a laser to a silicon Fabry-Perot cavity operating at a temperature near 124 K, where the coefficient of thermal expansion of silicon is near zero. The cavity is mounted inside a cryostat housed in a temperature-stabilized vacuum system that is surrounded by an isolating enclosure and supported by an active vibration platform. Laser light is steered with a superpolished mirror toward a superpolished focusing optic that couples the laser light into the cavity. Light reflected from the cavity is used to stabilize the laser via the Pound-Drever-Hall technique, while light transmitted through the cavity is used to stabilize the laser power. A resonant transimpedance amplifier allows the laser power to be reduced, which reduces heating of the cavity caused by residual absorption of the light.

    Abstract: An advanced nitrogen removal method using partial nitrification-denitrification coupled two-stage autotrophic denitrification. Sewage is introduced into a first pool for partial nitrification-denitrification treatment, and then introduced into a first regulating reservoir. Dissolved oxygen content in the first pool is kept at 0.4-0.6 mg/L. Water is discharged when a molar ratio of nitrite nitrogen to ammonia nitrogen in the first regulating reservoir is 1.0-1.3:1. Effluent in the regulating reservoir is introduced into a second pool for anaerobic ammonia oxidation treatment, and then introduced into a second regulating reservoir. In the second pool, pH is 7.0-7.4, a temperature is 22-28° C. Effluent in the second regulating reservoir and sulfides are introduced into a third pool for denitrification treatment. Water is discharged. In the third pool, pH is 7.5-8.0, a temperature is 28-32° C., a mass ratio of sulfur to nitrogen is 1.9-2.0:1.
